We thought maybe we had made the mistake and pressed the wrong airport until we tried to do it again and realised thre is no munich in the drop down box (see pics)so we couldnt have booked munich even if we wanted to. We tried to explain this but were told by anna on customer (non)service nothing could be done your money is lost

The worst car booking experience ever!
October 5, 2022

The worst car booking experience ever! A nightmare! Do not use this site.
I have booked car with the full insurance coverage, when we came to pick up the car the rental company informed us, the car does not have any insurance and requested another 250€ for the insurance. I tried to call do you spain, but you can never reach the customer support, they also do not reply to emails. So we believed the insurance we booked via do you spain would cover us incase of need, but it did not. We ended up paying 400€ for invoice on road assistance which came to open the car as we locked the key in the trunk, to the rental company as we did not have any insurance according to them, and tried to reclaim the invoice by the insurance company, also asking for everything possible and not replying, just to avoid the coverage... This is struggle is now taking 3 months, without any progress.

WASTE OF MONEY
October 4, 2022

February 2022 booked and paid for hire car for three weeks through Do You Spain (Peugeot 108 3/5 door a/c or similar) cost 674.14 Euros + 71.44 Euros for Platinum Excess Waiver cover.
On arrival at airport followed directions "collect your car from INTERRENT office located in arrivals hall" No office in arrivals hall.
Go to Goldcar office in the car park who cover Interrent and told that they do NOT accept the Platinum Excess Waiver certificate. Also that there is Airport Taxes to pay and if I want complete insurance cover an extra payment is needed.
Total Extra of 312.04 Euros.

Contacted do you spain about this issue and they did not CARE,

Ended up with a Fiat 500 costing over ONE THOUSAND EUROS.

Do You Spain laughing all the way to the bank.

SO BE WARNED.

Worst company ever
October 3, 2022

Would not give this company a one star! They sent me a confirmation voucher which didn't work at the airport. At 11 pm all car rentals close at the airport. I had to get an hours taxi to collect this car and was stranded at the airport. Record go would not help so I I had to pay for a car for three days until this matter got sorted. I took the car back after day 3 and then had to pay a further payment to keep the car as do you Spain had not responded!

Total £2300 extra to my trip, eventually do you Spain agreed to give me a refund but after I was on the phone and many many emails six months later I'm still waiting for this refund!

Very frustrated and fed up with their pathetic excuses they have had all the information that they have needed and still NOTHING …worst service ever

WORST DEALS OUT THERE! We just booked a car/suv it said 160 euros for 2 weeks. When we arrived to collect the car booked on doyouspain the car co charged us another 260 for the car insurance, plus airport fee 40 euros and 80 euros for petrol and some small extra charge. In total we paid almost 600 euros for 2 weeks for the car. The same car I booked directly with the company I went too last time after they also emailed me a promo code 20% off for joining their points club, cost me 329 euros total, total (full coverage insurance, petrol, airport charge etc TOTAL no deposit or anything weird) with also 125 of it coming back to me when I return the car with full petrol. HUGE difference! Please book directly with the company you choose up front if you see their name next time, join their clubs and gets better deals directly. Of course a middle man will make the price higher! So disappointing to think that I was saving money shopping on doyouspain only to realize I was being ripped off for years, sad.

Limited or unlimited mileage
September 18, 2022

I wrote them on the survey they sent me. I know that my comment will never touch DYS which I consider is a dishonest and fraudulent company. There is no consideration to customer!
"I am very unsatisfied by the way you present the various option on your web site. There is no limit of mileage on the presentation as many lessors do. They inform people about limited or unlimited mileage before booking is made. You inform people on the voucher after booking by saying them there is a limit of mileage by 300km per day first but limited at 3000km per booking which is another awkward and unacceptable stuff. This is a kind of presentation destinated to mislead "intentionally" the customer. I disagree with this commercial behavior obviously destinated to take advantage of the customer's credulity and trust. It's also strange that it is impossible to answer you email or to contact you directly by email, nor by phone... This means again that you intentionally lock the door to any face-to-face communication."

AVOID DOYOUSPAIN.COM
September 17, 2022

As many other people have stated this appears to be the cheapest way to hire a car but it is not.
My experience of DYS has been awful. It completely ruined the first day of our family holiday and blew a massive hole in our budget.
I'd booked and paid for a car in my husbands name but when we arrived he did not have a credit card as his wallet had gone missing in the airport! They would not accept my card despite it being the same surname and actual account that was used to pay for the booking. I spent a long time on the phone to DYS trying to arrange a name change on the hire but they flatly refused, would not amend it even for a fee and so they retained the entire amount I had paid of over £550 but gave me nothing. There were other people at the counter having similar problems.
They have not replied to either of my emails of complaint.
My advice is to book directly with a car rental company, email them to negotiate and you will get just as good of a deal if not better.

Think very careful before renting from this company. I booked a rental, they send me a confirmation- Driving license must be an original, no photo copies are accepted-no mention of international license. When I went to pick up the car, they would not release it without an international license. Other rental companies do not required this. I had use them before and did not have this problem. I had to rent another car at the airport from another company and did not required the intl. License. Avoid this company, all they have are complains. I paid the rental in advance an now they don't want to refund me my money.

Disgusting experience
September 9, 2022

Disgusting experience. Reference: DYS-*******.

I was in a hurry to rent a car. Went through the checkout process which was straightforward, got charged for €118.66 for 3 days + insurance. Got an email 5 minutes later saying I should pick up my car from Europcar. Got there, shared all the details with them and they said they can't give me a car because I paid with a debit card and I didn't have a credit card on me. I was told to call DoYouSpain and cancel my booking and get my money back. After 20 minutes I finally got through to an agent and explained the whole situation and asked for a refund. He kept saying that there's nothing he can do because in the terms and conditions it said you must have a credit card. Obviously I am furious, not only did I not miss my appointments, I got scammed to pay for a service which didn't work. What have I been charged for? I told the representative on the call if I'm not refunded my money back. I will post a bad review, because this is very unfair. I didn't have time to read your terms and conditions because I was in a hurry and you don't make it clear and obvious either on the checkout process, it's obvious why not, profiteering of people in similar positions. All this happened in the span of 30 minutes. I have never experienced such bad service anywhere else and this is my first bad review. I was sure that I wouldn't have a problem getting my money back because that's how legit companies operate, they rely on good and honest service. Lastly, I will happily remove this review if I get my money back. Shame on you.

Rubish
August 27, 2022

THE WORST COMANY EVER!
We arrived in Spain at midnight and no one attended to give us a car. We tried to contact with the company and the staff was rude and didn't want to help at all. We tried calling for over a week to receive a refund and they wouldn't answer simple questions like when a refund would be possible but every time they hung up in a disrespectful manner. Stay away from this company as it is just trouble.

This companies T&Cs are incompatible with a fly-drive. If your flight is delayed and you turn up late to collect the rental car, they cancel the rental with no refund. The customer service is utterly unsympathetic to this problem and refuse to help in any way. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT make the mistake of renting a car with this people, you are going to end up spending twice as much as the original renting fee you get online, I rented a car for 2 days, at the reservation time the toatl amount to pay was 167 euros, I went to the office to pick up the car and they started adding hiding fees and the price went up to almost 400 euros, I needed the car right away so I had no choice and no time to look for another company, plus they give you a limit of kilometers, something I haven't seen before with other car renting companies, rent car else where

Do not use do you SPAIN website for car rentals. Prices are really high and quotes are misleading.
Paid Euros 1322 for 3 weeks automatic car rental in Almeria airport. When arriving to collect the car the staff at Goldcar desk advised that I needed to pay an extra 650 euros for fuel and airport taxes.
The car had a lot of scratches and it was an Opel not a luxury car that you would expect after paying all that money.
So annoyed that companies can rip off customers so easily! Will never use do you Spain or Goldcar.
Please be careful and book car rentals directly with the providers in Spain, it is probably much cheaper than using a U. K. website.
So annoyed! What a waste of money!

DO YOU SPAIN - CAR HIRE - SCAM
Be warned these people are pure scammers and will take your money and laugh behind your back – can't proof they 'work' with hire companies but they would know what's going on – for sure.
Made this booking in July 2022 at Malaga airport
They 'will' find you a cheap deal but don't have cars themselves - it's a comparison type website - so they 'book' with a hire company on your behalf.
So, you book with DYS, and add premium excess insurance cover and additional driver and then honestly assume DYS will then deal with the actual hire company - big mistake to assume this. Hire company does not recognise DYS insurance etc and they, DYS, do not inform the hire company.
You will end up paying twice for the one hire - surprise DYS and the hire company just blame each other - and then blame you for trusting them
I have rented cars, across Europe, for decades and used multiple hire companies – first time tried DYS – and the last

They steal your money
August 5, 2022

They offer a fully insurance but when you going to get your car in Spain the other company make you pay for another insurance that's 164 pounds more or take a deposit of £1000 if you have a credit card other way you have to pay that £164 extra for another insurance basically a rip off. I won't recommend I will never used this company anymore.

I've been hiring cars in Spain for 20 years and some times the hire has been stressful. However, my experience in June 2022 was the worst ever. Our flight was cancelled by Easy jet when we were in the departure lounge. We rang the hire company contracted by DoyouSpain who noted that we would be delayed. When we finally arrived around 14 hours later the car had been given to someone else. No refund. If you hire a car and pay, it should be there. DoyouSpain? Do me a favour and change your name to DonebydoyouSpain.

Worst rental experience ever…
August 1, 2022

Flights were cancelled and delayed, so that we arrived one day late in Spain. At DYS office almost impossible to reach someone. If so they were unfriendly and not competent. Long story short: the car couldn't be reserved or cancelled, so we lost 630,-€. We were lucky to find another (cheaper!) car at the airport. Strong advice: do not book with DYS in advance, that just creates trouble and you are in danger of losing your money!

Hired a car through 'Do You Spain' / Okay Mobility, My flight got delayed / abandonded but managed to catch the flight 2 days later, emailed and rang do you spain to try and adjust the booking for 2 days ahead, I never recieved any replies, the phones just ring out, okay-mobility answered the phone when i contacted them and told me 'do you spain' would not answer any calls and that the car and my money (£450) were lost and its pointless going any further, I'd strongly recomend you NOT to use either of these compainies
