I booked again but when I got to Marbesol I had two reservations. Marbesol promised me refund on one. I contacted Doyouspain but the service was horrible. Quite nasty treatment.

Paid in full for my rental though doyouspain arrived at goldcar in Spain and was forced to pay another 250£ which I had to negotiate down from 600 euro for 2 hrs! Doyouspain just left us stranded in the airport with 2 kids and my disabled autistic son. I've basically paid twice for the same car and twice for the insurance.
Dreddful company, hours on hold. Paid to hire car for 3 days plus the insurance never actaully got to hire the car as the car hire company wanted to charge me extra £140 for the insurance that i had actaully already paid for. Did i mention the cost of the car hire and insurmace id already paid totaled £66, yet they wanted extra £140 for different insurance etc theives
No refund on orginal insurance offered, car hire company did not accept amercian express, or my visa revolut card or my lloyds visa card, or my uk bank card or cash.
So not sure how your meant to pay for the extra double insurance, which if you dont take out then the dont give you car, then no refund from youdospain.
Totall scam, reported them to credit card, who told me they had had many complaints

My contract stated that the car rental company was open until 11:00 p.m. However, when I arrived at the company's office at 19:07, it turned out they were working there until 19:00. I ask those who also had incorrect information in the contract to contact me to file a class action lawsuit. And the support service simply does not answer me by the way.
I highly recommend that everyone else use other aggregators.
As others have experienced. Hired a seat ibiza (or similar) car for 326 euros through doyourspain.com also purchasing the platinum insurance! My parents also hired a simialr car for a similar price! Arrived in tenerife and at the okmobility car hire company as directed by doyouspain to be informed as I don't own a credit card I had to pay a further 367 euros (26 euros per day) and I would also have 100euros held on my account. Due to the cost I enquired about cancellation to be informed that I'd loose all the money already paid as they wouldn't issue a refund.
My parents who had also hired a car as holidaying together, had made a mistake on their time collection for the booking, so contacted doyouspain about the mistake over 48hours before we were due to collect the car to be told that the car would still be held for them as there was a 6 hour allowance. When we all arrived at the car hire centre they were informed the car had been marked as cancelled due to no show even though they'd informed doyouspain with plenty of notice! My parents who had a credit card were also then told they could have a car as they had one available to hire but they would also have to pay a further 367euros on the credit card and have a further 100 euros held!
We were completely scammed! I have since contacted doyouspain to be informed that it was all in the payment section on the voucher they sent however I do not see anything regarding paying further in this section. Now I am being ignored by doyouspain and okmobility!

I booked the wrong week for 7 day car hire. Realised later that mth I had. It was a no cancellation price. I hadn't realised this, my fault!

Worst company i ever used. They charge extra money for nothing! Highly not recommended! Staff is very unpleasant they were rude
This company makes money through no refund policy! If your flight is delayed they cancel your reservation and do not refund; if you don't get the car whatsoever they do not refund; if you have any problems there is no service and no refund! Don't book here or there is a high chance that you will get scammed because of a ridiculous issue
I think the criticism of DoYouSpain should be more directed at Goldcar. Having bought insurance directly from DYS it is Goldcar personnel that tell you it is not valid just in order to sell you their own insurance when you pick the car up!
Booked a car in November from Malaga airport, Firefly refused to honour the deal I'd booked, big battle as they tried to keep my 1000 euro deposit, I refused to leave until they cancelled the payment. Gloria got very aggressive and threatened to call the police, eventually they relented and cancelled the deal. Doyouspain however have refused to refund my £35 as I didn't cancel through them. I've used Doyouspain for at least 10 years, they have always been OK and I have never in the past had a problem. I went to Goldcar with the same deal on Doyouspain, they refused to hnour it as well, they told me it isn't their website, RecordGo who were very nice said they don't subscribe any longer to Doyouspain. It seems the age old scam of charging you a small fortune for a scuffed wheeltrim has been shut down and no one wants to honour a deal that they can't make any money from. I'll be surprised if Doyouspain doesn't disappear shortly.
Beware they are scammers, you are supposed to meet at a public bench B6 in car park, no office, no telephone number, avoid avoid avoid
Rented a car through this company who position themselves as a comparison site. They knowingly work with scam car hire companies who collect your credit card details and take money without reason or communication.
Paid for a car, in few minutes got an email that I will have to pay 1350euro deposit at the car collection time, even I paid for full insurance cover, asked to refund my money, looks like will have to get my money through my bank.
I strongly do not recommend this company. The approach to the customer is so bad that I don't even think it is legal. If you don't pick up the rental car at the exact time, the reservation is forfeited without even a prorated refund. Unfortunately flight delays are something that can't be planned and just happen and often, but this company cancels the reservation when you arrive late and you have to rent the car again. This company ruined the start of our vacation. Never use.
Never rent something here, its a criminal organisation. If you want to loose money or to have trouble with a car then rent here. But i warned you
When you have been ripped off who would give 1 star. Booked a Seat Ibiza on 14th/10. The local supplier was Click-Rental. Price was about 68 Euros for 8 nights & I paid the premium insurance so came to 124 Euros in total. Also selected the full-2-full fuel option. Received email booking voucher same day & email to add flight details that I has already added, but did it again anyway. Firstly Click-rental made me pay for a full tank + 31 Euros filling charge! It came to 127 Euros. I filled the car up on less than 70 Euros.
Total rip off & they would not honour what I had booked. Worse was to come. DYS then proceeded to charge me twice for the car. It came to 245 Euros. Their flimsy excuse was I had modified the reservation as I re-added the flight details. Citing the car had doubled in price. Again checked the price when I got home & yes of course is the same 68ish Euros I originally paid. Would hate to see others get conned by this outfit, go somewhere else of repute. Received one email from them & nothing since to respond & put this right, customer support does not exist. Trying to go via bank for refund as paid on CC.
Really do yourself a favour & stay well clear!
Made our booking online,1st to 5th October 23.mallorca Spain, price based on small Peugeot 108,£80.68 with full insurance, pretty simple so far. Got to airport to pick up car from goldcar rental desk as instructed,now the stress starts,waiting in a queue with ticket number to be called up, waited a good hour only to get to the desk and submit all my details again just like a new booking,and asked for a further £264 euro's w t f,£116 made up as a fuel charge,full tank given and part payment taken on return of what ever is left in tank, this time over half a tank on return, I get that charge, people at desk not that helpful given a stated i booked online, there response was book direct in future. Another part of extra charges was for airport tax,IM NOT IN THE AIRPORT,im travelling the country,.we have been to mallorca three times this year payed online with another company price online is what it is,and on arrival proved id,picked keys up and enjoyed my break,
If anybody has heard of viagogo then do you spain operate in the same way shame they do not put reviews on there home page, fell ive been scammed.
DoYouSpain uses Drivalia at the Barcellona airport. It is a shuttle ride away, and first you have take a shuttle to the shuttle --depending on the terminal. OK, the rate was cheap so we'll put up with a shuttle. But having to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes in line? That wasn't fun. And the reason for the long wait? Its because they have to explain all their extra surcharges, fees, credit card holds etc. We had car insurance thru Amex, we paid for the rental using Amex. We weren't allowed to pick up the car until we paid 280€ in additional, unneeded insurance. Emails had assured that the 110€ insurance option was optional -- it wasn't and it was now 280€. OR they would charge us 1,000€ and refund it when we brought the car back. Next surcharge was for gas and that was a 100€ credit card hold. We rented a Fiat 500 -- it couldn't hold 100€ of gas!
Then we brought the car back there was a mileage surcharge. We were told it was 4000 km, but it turns out its really 2000km, so have another surcharge.
And any credit card holds that they had would take 10 business days to return to you...funny, they could take the money electronically but giving it back wasn't going to be quick or easy.
Also, the car itself didn't have a full tank of gas, it was only 3/4 and there were two warning lights that we could not figure out if it was any kind of emergency.
Long story short: ADOID DOYOU AND DRIVALIA.
We reserved a car in Gandia Spain, specifically asking for an automatic, we arrived at Enterprise and they said, "oh, we don't have any automatic cars, we will call you later today or tomorrow when we have one" They never got back to us and have a phone line that goes directly to a full voicemail box.DoYouSpain says all they can do is send an email to Enterprise but they have not responded. TWO WEEK and no response, no refund and no car, but of course they hand no problem charging my credit card over €500
Answer: They just do not answer at all! They reply just one generic mail, after that they do not answer at you mails.
