In spite of bad reviews I thought I would give DHGate a try. I ordered 4 items. Two items arrived and were as advertised, but there were either no instructions or that were in Chinese. One item never arrived. One item arrived, but was not what I ordered. When I tried to return it they instead gave me a partial refund, and part of the refund was in the form of a DHGate coupon. Also, they don't offer free shipping. If you opt for the cheapest shipping option it takes nearly a month. Needless to say, I will never order from DHGate again.

Also they have no higher level authority for resolution... dont buy from dhgate

Faulty watch.

I bought a watch which was faulty. The seller wristwatch 111 stopped responding with me, they obviously didn't care. DH Gate also stopped responding and just left me hanging.

As the title says, it all works out fine every time.
I have purchased many things over the years from the store. As always, you have to make sure you read the items' descriptions well, because the store sells what several manufacturers produce. The don't have anything to do with the quality of the product since they don't make them.
Otherwise, easy and pleasant experience.

Placed an order on 4 July 2018 and today 3 September 2018 I still cant find my package.
I been thrown back and forth between DHgate and Aramex and nobody has a clue where is my order/package when the tracing number says delivered one month ago. I spent so much time and energy to find my order that it became disgusting and stressful.

Just avoid IT if you dont want to to get dissapointed.

This is by far the worse company I have ever used.
They took 8 days to verify my payment when you contact them they tell you to wait 24-48

The supplier then took 3 days to ship my item when it should have been dispatched within 24hrs
I have requested DHL service when it states on their website free delivery 2-5 days the supplier has used alternative shipping without my consent and it status says it will take up to 20 days.
When I contacted customer service they agreed what the supplier did is illegal as the shipping time is miss sold to me.
When i asked for a refund they told me to communicate with the supplier. The supplier has been ignoring my message. I really need the item as i have waited long enough already I also informed this to customer service. I have asked them to compensate me my time and refund me or send me my order and use the method of delivery i picked. They then said there is nothing they can do even though they admitted what the supplier did is illegal.
They have given all the power to the supplier and I am now forced to wait for my order that could take over a month.
This company does not value their customers they do not care about any of us!

This is a normal process for:
1. All credit cards that have been used for the first time in the website.
2. Credit cards that do not match the account holder's name.
3. Shipping address of the account holder does not match with the billing address on the card.
4. There are some inconsistent information submitted during the payment process that did not match the credit card information.
5. Orders with large amount
6. Multiple Payment failures
7. Possible unauthorized/fraudulent transactions

I have waited almost 4 days for my account to be verified they say the process is 24-48 and I'm still waiting. If you request for a refund they will avoid your questions with a generic reply. Sometimes they even end the chat just to avoid your concern as they don't want to give the money back. Please avoid this website if you are first time buyer as the experience is a very stressful one

I ordered what I thought would be my dream wedding dress, when I received it, the color was white and camo when I ordered ivory and camo. They continue to argue with me and say it's the same color. If it's the same color why is it (ivory) even a option in their color card!?!? When I asked to exchange it they asked me to please keep the dress and they will refund me some of my money.

I am done with DHGATE. They have nothing but scammers selling on their site. This is the second time I have purchased on their site and the seller has given me fake tracking numbers and dhgate releases payment when item is delivered to someone else. My suggestion is if you have to buy from them... as soon as you get a tracking number file a dispute otherwise the seller will claim the money when the fake tracking number is delivered. My payment was claimed within 5 hours of my item being delivered to another address. DHGATE will just sit on the case once money has been claimed. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON'T BUY FROM DHGATE

BEWARE DONT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE it's a scam! ESPECIALLY this seller! Dress showed up looking NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING like picture. It was BRIGHT pink and looked like a play dress for a 5 year old. Stitching was terrible, material was horrid the dress was so stiff it sat up on its own when I set it down. I paid $90 for this piece of crap, and $35 on first class shipping back, AND NEVER RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK. Seller stopped returning my messages and pretended like they were going to give me my money, messaging me back in terrible broken up English, they probably couldn't even read what I was writing, here is their reply to me: "our shipper said that they don't find it now, but they are try to find it, and i will refund you money after find it "please no worry, after we find it, we must refund you money". And "i have asked our shipper to try their best to fins the dress, please wait". I shipped the dress back 2 MONTHS AGO and still nothing. I have contacted their customer service via "live chat" (their only option) upwards of a dozen times, and they are customer service representatives but there is nobody else available to talk to because they said nobody else speaks English and they must translate the issue. They always tell me I'll hear back from them. I asked HOW will I hear back from them, they say via email or in the inbox on the website, and I have never ever received a reply. STAY AWAY FROM DHGATE! The live chat people pretend to want to help and are nice, but really they have ZERO power.

Exceeds expectations

Not sure about the other negative reviews, but from my experience it was great.
I bought a pair of sunglasses, asked the seller heaps of questions and he answered all of them.
Also, they were coming from China so i thought it was going to take 2 months to get here but they came in less than a week (6 days) and I live in Australia.
Would definitely recommend again.

This is a scam site. I got the product delivered after 45 days and it was nothing like as in the picture. Please look for yourself. And they know that it cannot be returned from US. It will cost me 150$ to return the package to China. So i had to settle down with a 45$ refund for this crappy service. I spent 60$ for a blanket kind of apparel from them. BEWARE

Cheap greedy people

I was at first a little sceptical about ordering from this website, but when I read their policy about how if the customer is not satisfied with the item or product a full refund would be issued, so I felt safe and comfortable ordering from here, but clearly their policy is complete bull$#*!. What I ordered and what I received were two different things! I contacted the seller saying what he sent me and what I ordered were 2 different things and he went on calling me a liar, calling me dumb, saying it wasn't his product. I opened a dispute for a full refund and the only thing he offered me a was a US 0.01 refund... lol. I was pretty ticked off at this point, I contacted customer service and they assured me I would get a full refund which never happened. I uploaded so much evidence and still nothing was done to compensate me. Customer service will always stand by their sellers and not their buyers. No matter how much I threatened to contact my bank or contact the federal consumer protection agency to get my money back nothing worked. The seller goes by "linlin*******", if you come across this seller do not purchase from him, he scams his customers.

Do not get scammed

Do NOT use them. It's a scam. Both times I ordered, they shipped me something that doesn't look like the picture. I asked for a refund for my second item. They said I'd get a full refund plus shipping if I returned the item. I went to post office two days later, mailed it and got tracking number. Submitted information. USPS tracking says it was delivered two weeks ago and these people said they never received it so no refund. I have picture of package and delivery confirmation. Don't trust the reviews on their site because you can't review items if you complain. It's impossible.

Let me give an update on this. I only received a response from DHGate once I did an online review on this website. I'd been trying to contact them for several weeks prior to writing the review. You aren't allowed to review the sellers who are giving you bogus crap so don't believe the reviews on there. They probably have boys writing them.

Let me continue. So like I said, after leaving a review on here, you can see they finally responded to me. The problem is the seller was supposed to refund both the cost of the item and my shipping fee to return the item to CHINA which isn't cheap. I received a refund only on the item (after writing this review), but they still have not refunded my shipping fee. I've contacted the seller at least 5 times since I received the refund on my item to ask when I will receive my shipping fee, but seller will not respond. I've emailed DHGATE 2-3 times each week with my order number included to ask about the shipping fee and they won't respond to my emails. Granted, this is the same email I emailed about my refund (after this review) and they responded to that email. I always include proof of the shipping fees in my emails. That proof includes the receipt from The postal service and pictures of the postage on the actual envelope.

This is just further proof this place is a scam. Fake reviews, lies about refunds, and they sell GARBAGE that isn't the same thing as what they've advertised.

I signed up to dhgate to buy a refurbished iPhone.

After the purchase, waiting for delivery, I get many beautiful emails signed dhgate saying that my first purchase was guaranteed by the same platform. Reassuring! I think.

Unfortunately, the phone does not work. At the request of the seller (kind) I make do a repair estimation in my city and, as the repair is expensive for him, we agree on fifty-fifty.

The platform refunds me, but I note the sum is less than agreed with the seller. I contact him and he, surprised, documents his refund request (done to the platform) with a print-monitor where appears the right amount. "Ok friend!", my answer.

I realize that the missing sum corresponds to a welcome coupon.

I contact the platform and I get only vague copy/paste answers. Among these the request to send - by email - a video as a testimony of the break. The video obviously exceeds the 25 Mb allowed in emails, so I commit myself and reduce its size to make it possible to send by email, a job for those like me who have no experience.
I also explain that time and petrol (in addition to the inconvenience of having bought an expensive item broken) have been supported by my: nothing.

I am so angry that I try to close my account. Nowhere - on the platform - I find how to close the account. I search the web and find complicated procedures that I put into practice successfully.
A rubber wall on which to bounce. I write and they answer: first with rules/excuses to not close it, then deleting my further requests with the motivation that they have already answered in a previous communication, the first. The story is still going on, from over a month.

I have made hundreds of purchases on other Chinese platforms and we have always resolved the disputes, with dhgate its impossible. It is impossible to feel like a client and to see my rights respected.

I bought a lot of Sterling Silver 925 rings on this site, after receiving them they did not look quite right, asked the seller if they where Sterling Silver as advertised, to be told no they are 30-90% Silver, in other words no they are not as advertised, they want me to return them to China and pay for the post, what a joke, i have contacted the helpline at DH Gate, what a waste of time, I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN.
