Firstly, i must say, DHGate staff lack a good command of english.
Secondly, if customers(buyers) have a problem, its very difficult to relay the concern.
Thirdly, the sellers advertise an item, but customers upon purchasing receive something else. Upon sending the non-advertised item, the seller then closes the transaction, thus after 90days of delivery customer cannot even request a refund or report the item. In saying so, i must say, the payment is then released to the seller.
Fourthly, I personally have never had a single good experience with DHGate

My first order NobelHair was sold as 8a hair, high quality. After 1 week hair was shedding and split. I sent pics to merchant and DH Gate. Merchant never responded and DH Gate said it was over 7 days so I can't dispute the sub par hair. My second order was shoes I have never received but have been assured several times they were mailed. I can't dispute with DH Gate till received. It's been over 60 days. Once you pay the merchants don't respond. I will never trust over seas merchants again!

I tried placing an order, paid them and then could never get the payment applied to my order. They said they'd help but never did. Then after my order was cancelled by the seller I tried to get a refund. Ha! That was a joke. Again, their site wouldn't work. They are rip-off artists that only take your money. They are Chinese and probably laugh all the way to the bank with our American money. Buy American!

I'm very glad i stumbled across dhgate

Overall I love the variety of product at a great price. Shipping can take some time so be prepared for several weeks. Most of time products are as described and smooth transaction. Things can happen and the dispute process can be forever and dhgate keeps referring you to contact seller. This is beyond frustrating bc the seller isn't willing to work with you then it's an endless waste of your time to fix an error on their part. I ordered a camera that never arrived. I opened a dispute, seller agreed to reship so I agreed in the dispute. It's been over 5 Months! And I'm still waiting for refund. I kept contacting dhgate through online chat and they kept telling me to contact seller who never responded. I wasted hours of my time, when with most other companies the evidence is clear and they would issue refund right away. Dhgate seems to protect the seller more in issues and make buyer waste time and jump through hoops. Once dhgate takes case over they try to help on your side but this can be many months away like my case. You also have to use a desktop or laptop computer to open a dispute. I had to borrow one bc I have cell phones and iPads which aren't compatible with dhgate systems. The clothing seems to mostly be in Asian size for men. Not sure for women. The size charts can be off quit a bit so please read everything prior to order. The other thing I wish to have changed is the updates after your order. You get emails saying item ships, passed through customs or at local center, etc. They never have the items you ordered in the email. This can be confusing when you order many things at once. Overall I like shopping with dhgate. The few bad apples really take away from my positive experiences and I hope dhgate will change process and make more user friendly as well as quicker resolution help. Give dhgate a try and you will be pleased if you read everything from sellers, make sure they aren't brand new seller with only few transactions and look for their feedback score.
