Do not trust the "Buyer Protection" guarantee from DHgate. I was skeptical of purchasing from them to begin with, but decided to proceed because of this guarantee.
I received my item (a Dyson airwrap), which worked great at first. However, after a few months, the product broke. When I contacted Dyson they let me know it was counterfeit. It was marketed as legitimate, but even if it was counterfeit, you would expect of lifespan of longer than a few months.
I reached out to the seller, who did not want to provide support.
I reached out to DHgate, who said they do not provide direct support, and could only process a refund if I personally could get the seller to agree to it.
Customer service also informed me that review window closes after only 15 days, so there isn't even a way to warn future buyers that the counterfeit product stopped working just outside the "protection window" of 90 days. Essentially, once you mark the order as received, the order is completed and the buyer protection window ends.
I also asked if there was a way to report the seller since it was a falsely marketed product. They directed me to a complaint form, but the only type of complaint you can make is to say a seller stole you intellectual property. So you can't even report the seller.
Essentially, they are protecting sellers who are hocking counterfeit products and then locking down the dispute/review process after a very short window so the cycle can continue.

I don't know what type of company is it but I am more than dissipointed after my first and last shopping from them.
I bought 2 things from a guy nicknamed "brucefight". He had a special offer with the time limit and price range from 1€ to over 600€. I was one of the first buyers and I was charged from bottom price range. After few days I have got the message that I choose the wrong option and I have paid only for paper box. Can you imagine his mistake? There was no other options. Afer that he fixed it and set up his items with one price only but my items was still waiting for shipping. Multiple times he was asking me to cancel the order giving me the same reasons that I choose wrong option. He was waiting till the last day given by Dhgate to process the order and after all he refused to send it.
I informed customer service about it and they were very helpful on the beginning but at the end they did nothing. So what kind of company is it who is allowing sellers to bring customers attention with special offers and ask for more money after you will make a purchase?!
This guy knew what he was doing because he was using private messages between us so customer service had no access to them.
False advertising and discracefull behavior!

I ordered products for an event on January 30,2021 and it's now February 13 and my package still has not shipped. I contacted the seller multiple times and they just kept saying to be patient. Absolutely no help at all. I need this soon, otherwise I'm out almost $100. I tried disputing on the DHgate app, but that is also a scam. I fill out everything and it still says I need to fill out what has already been filled out. They won't do anything unless it's past the promised delivery date, however there is no date given, so can't do anything to dispute. I understand Covid has slowed things, but it's almost 1 1/2 months and still hasn't left China. I think I am going to have to get my credit card involved at this point.

Do these people know that Amazon, for example, works well because the customer is always first?
I have bought 10 orders on this site, I have received 3. The rest was all money lost.
Basically they pay the seller in advance, even if the order doesn't reach you. So if the seller does not respond to you, the order is closed and you must fight to get your money back.
After 9 months I have recovered the money from 2 more orders, which I have lost the rest.
Using that site is authorizing them to take your money and you don't know if you will get it back in the future.

Dghate has some really honest sellers on there they can't monitor all of them so i didn't blame them when I got scammed out of a less then 50 dollar order i blame that crooked seller FEIZHU I waited 5 months for a pair of shoes that never came they sent them shoes everywhere but to me how many different cities but kept stringing me along. I would not recommend ordering from DHGate. I did not receive an item. They keep telling me it was delivered. I have a camera on my porch and there were no deliveries that day. They refused to resend the item or give me a refund. Don't take a chance on this company. Not worth your time or money.

When I understood that my cellphone is too old I tried to find some online stores where I could buy a new one. Scammers! I ordered a lithium ion battery for an electric bike. Cost me almost $400. I received it in about two weeks but it was defective. I contacted DHgate at least 100 times. They told me to work it out with the seller, but the seller ripped me off and refuses to ship a new battery or to refund my money. Then when I kept corresponding with them (for over four months) their answer was always just "thank you very much friend". You're better off to do business with an American company. Buying from DHgate is like throwing your money in a hole.

I would recommend staying away from this site. They are impossible to get in touch with. Never respond to questions. When a dispute is at length resolved in your favour they make promises but don't send the refund.
During disputes communication is next to impossible since English is a second language resulting in frustration.

I received a counterfeit Golf club - cracked after one month of use. Visually nobody could tell it was conterfeit but TaylorMade confired it was not authentic. DH Gate was useless in contacting the seller who did not respond to messages. Some prior purchases turned OK => they get 3 stars instead of one

We ordered 2 items that were flagged at customs leaving China, they were returned to sender but the shipper charged us for them anyway. After having no luck getting a refund from the shipper I filed a dispute with our credit card company. The shipper provided false tracking information and would not return our money. Luckily I had saved the shipping/tracking info clearly showing the package was returned to Wuhan China so after months of waiting we finally received a credit from our credit card company, we never received anything from the seller. In our experience they are a scam.
