My daughter purchased upper control arms for a GMC 3500 Dually. Bowl joints didn't even last a year. No grease fittings. The grease in the joints is dried up and do a Kiki powder. Ordered new upper ball joints from AutoZone, only to find out that Detroit axle uses some odd size ball joint that is not the same as the factory General Motors. Now we have to replace the entire control arm again. Control arms from Auto Zone, or twice the thickness and weight as the ones from this company. Garbage parts. Wouldn't buy them for my bicycle.

A complete ripoff

They sell junk out of wrecked cars stating they are rebuilt which they are not. Their customer non service says it's covered under their warranty until you send the junk back and tell you that you contaminated it. Garbage company and parts and lying people

Great company!

I order brake pads, it was nice to see a company that has such good sevice and at a fair price, you don't find that at many businesses now a days. Keep up the good wook! Not only did I get my parts early they even gave me all the hardware plus brake cleaner and brake fluid, I will order all my parts from Detroit Axle. It was like going back in time when companys cared about their customers! Thank you, Bruce Yocum.

Terrible quality defective reman parts
July 13, 2023

I purchased a remanufactured rack and pinion from Detroit Axle, guaranteed to have all seals replaced, air tested and free from leaks or defects. Instead, they gave me a rack and pinion that was repainted and had a blown out top seal where the steering connects to the rack. There was no core charge nor was there any instructions regarding returning my old rack. They hid in the fine print that the 10-year warranty is only obtainable if the core is sent back within 45 days. My mechanic disposed of the old rack and pinion and so I get no warranty. They refused to help at all. I hope they go bankrupt, they don't stand by their products and hide caveats in fine print and ship out defective repainted parts and couldn't care less about taking customers' money and making them spend on mechanic labor as well. Their customer service rep was friendly but couldn't do anything to help. I'm never buying anything from them again and will be advising everyone I know to avoid them.

Received all items in perfect shape,but even after doing a correct brake in the braking was poor and was told that I had to pay Shipping on a warranty claim. Told the guy it wasn't warranty but was defective and didn't understand what I was telling him

Scam
June 28, 2023

Ordered on Saturday the 24th. Got an email on the 25th showing label created and would deliver the 28th. Checked FedEx today and the package has not even been picked up. I called customer service and they advised the label was cancelled and a new label was being made today. I advised them I need by Friday and that was not going to happen. Said he had to cancel the label and would not cancel my order until that time. They take your money in seconds but drag their feet on a refund that is their mistake. I had my CC reverse the charges and will NEVER order anything from these clowns again.

Parts changed no rebate
June 18, 2023

I ordered drilled and slotted brake rotors for all 4 corners and pads. They sent me an email two days later saying there was a problem with my order. I called and they talked me into a standard rotor set with pads. They wanted to refund me the difference. That would have been OK but I used a $5 off coupon code on my first order. They could not get it through their heads that I wanted the difference plus the 5 dollars refunded to me. Finally I gave up. I called again to try to get a tracking number for the newly created order that I had no clue when it was coming. That went well. Next I had to call again because it had been 9 days since my original order and the down-graded parts arrived but no money was refunded to me. As of writing this, I am expected to get my money back 11 or 12 days after I first placed to order. I find all of this irritating. I really dislike the fact that I was ripped off of the $5 off coupon code. I won't be using detroit axle again. I used to like them but they ruined that.

Shifty parts

Bought wheel hubs from here drove the truck twice and they are grinding really bad and now to get new ones I have to pay would not recommend this company to any one the parts are garbage

Horrible

I keep getting the same run around, no package yet. They keep giving me the same tracking # or I can talk to a supervisor. I have done that already he he gave me the same tracking # and it hasn't been shipped!

I purchased a suspension kit 2 years ago, the ball joints failed. In order to get the 10 year warranty, i need to pay for shipping both ways. If i order the parts again new it ships for free. It is actually cheaper to just order the parts new then ship the defective ones back and get the warranty parts. BE CAREFUL. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. Products do not last.

Called for information, sales rep made a sale off me. Just to later have them ignore me when I was told to contact them for Shipping information. 2 emails and no reply. Called 5 days later just to have Patty tell me she doesn't see my order. Then she found it and I asked her to email me the details, she stated she could not! Well I made sure she did with her bad attitude and all. I can ONLY hope these parts are all correct

When I had issues, their customer service did everything they could to Not assist me. The supervisor was argumentative and contradicted himself. In the end, I wasted time and money on parts and labor for nothing. Warranty is only good if it's honored. Spend your money elsewhere!

I purchased a Rack and Pinion for my truck and installed it and found out it was defective. Called them and was instructed to send it back for either a replacement or credit. I told them the part was installed and i needed a replacement to remove and replace it to send it back. I was told I had to purchase another in order to get it and it would take a week to get it. I paid for it and asked to have it shipped 2 day and it was agreed. After not receiving it on the 3rd day, I called and they had no record of it being shipped although the part was charged from my account. I called and cancelled the replacement when told it was never shipped. I purchased another one from ANOTHER SELLER aan installed it and sent the defective one back. After 2 weeks, I received credit for the defective part, but still had not received the replacement credit. I asked for reimbursement for the double labor I had to pay due to the part being defective and installed twice. I was told "WE DONT DO THAT". Poor customer service for a defective part sold.

Terrible company

I bought a pair of tie rods from this company and the four bellows clamps were missing when it arrived so I had to spend $12 out of my pocket to replace the clamps and they said they would partially refund me $5 which I never received and it has been over a month now

Sent defective parts!
April 27, 2023

Received new rotors and pads. Installed them and the new clips that held in the pads were not bent properly from the factory and the rubbed on the rotors and broke. I had to use the old clips with the new pads and that solved it. I contacted customer service to explain the problem but got the I must not have been qualified to install them story. He did not want to hear any details about the problem.
Don't Buy Anything From This Company!
Customer service is a joke.

Buyer beware

Detroit Axle. Should change there name to China axle. The parts they send are truly junk. Wish I would have read the reviews. Will never ever order parts from these people again. Customer service is horrible. I was basically told take it or leave it when they sent tie rod ends that the bolt length was to short for my application. Was hung up on the first time. Was told they would give me 20 dollars the second time and keep the parts. Tells what they think of there own parts. Basically buyer beware there parts are like trying to get Quality tools from harbor freight. Hope this review helps someone not get taken by these people. Remember this is just my appinion. But read the reviews before ordering from this company!

Worst experience imaginable
April 14, 2023

I bought a wheel hub with a speed sensor for the abs built inside. I finally installed it and almost suddenly I had an abs light on in the dash. I scanned it and it showed the wrong speed at the hub I had just replaced. It would rise and fall as it pleased. Brand new problem. Called Detroit. They said first send us a screenshot of the scanner. I sent. They received. Next day they said get diagnostic from licensed repair. Outrageous. I already proved my failure. I've been licensed repair 40 years. Then they said they'll replace it but to send $32.50 for shipping. ( costs $ 9.00 to ship) so then I said I'm done just refund me as it didn't last a day. They issued me 50% refund because part was installed. Pretty hard to find out a part is defective without installing it. They are outrageous scammers just trying to make you go away. They sell garbage Chinese parts. They couldn't just replace the part? No they will fight to the end to save a return. Ultimate scum. Complained to eBay. Ebay will probably back them up. Update: This fake $#*! woman that apologized from Detroit Axle is fake as the company that she works for. She did NOTHING but ignore me. She's a perfect fit for this company.

They shipped my part from El Paso instead of the 8-mile location. My customer had to miss two radiation treatments. The customer rep. Told me he would push the order. It still came a week later. I'm done with Detroit Axle. Roger

Won't give money back

I wanted to return the parts they told me was against walmart policy. I contacted Walmart they sent them email. They responded again against Walmart policy. I reached out again saying you were sent the same email from Walmart that i did that they approved. Paid with affirm so stuck with the bill.
