I strongly advise against doing business with this company. They sent me two incorrect steering racks for my vehicle, both of which looked similar but were for completely different years. Not only did I lose time and money dealing with these parts, but the mistakes have left my car sitting at the shop for months.
Here's how this went down: I ordered the first steering rack 3 months ago. It was wrong, so they made me pay an additional deposit for a second one. The deposit was almost the same amount as my original purchase, but surprise—the second one was wrong too. Now they're telling me they can't refund me for the original part because it was ordered three months ago!
The worst part? They keep promising a call back from a manager, but it never happens. It's clear the calls are routed to a call center where no one has a clue about my case. I've been stuck with the wrong parts for months, and nobody at the company seems to care.
The worst part of all—these are critical car components that could have serious safety consequences if the wrong part is installed. I can't believe a company that sells parts so vital to vehicle safety is so careless and unprofessional. If you value your time, money, and your safety, avoid this place at all costs.
I ordered parts for my truck they sent the wrong ones told me to send them back and they were giving me a refund! Three weeks later still no refund and they want to charge me a return fee for sending the wrong parts to me to begin with! This is a place is a scam
I am 62 been buying parts all my life Never had to put the month car built for parts. Spend $120 for kit get $25
Back because break shoes do not fit
WTF
Bought a front end kit from Detroit axle, had two bad upper control arms (ball joints) bad sway bar links and a bad inner and outter tie rod. To get the replacement parts they wanted me to pay for shipping. So pay for parts, shop to put them in, then pay to ship new $#*!ty parts yeah no thanks. Will never buy from Detroit axle again.
Purchased Struts from them and less than 1 year later the top stud snapped for no reason. Out of stock for a warranty replacement and they stated they will be back in stock in 1 week. 10 days later I call and no they are still out of stock and now we have no shipping date of when we'll have them back in stock. No refund, no answers for how do I'll get my vehicle back on the road. I could have picked up a replacement at several other suppliers and been back on the road which is what I will now do at my own additional cost. Terrible (or should I say no) customer support and obviously poor quality parts. Being from Metro Detroit I am ashamed they are using name "Detroit" as a symbol of quality. Buyer beware!
Ordered hub assembly for 05 Colorado z71. Received the wrong parts, called and got the right parts ordered, sent the wrong one back and was told the correct parts would ship out overnight delivery. Parts are still sitting in the warehouse according to the customer service representative and will ship whenever. Meanwhile truck is sitting on jack stands. In the way. I had to give a star to leave my review otherwise I wouldn't have gave them any. Do not do business with them if you want your parts correct and in a timely manner. Use Rock Auto. Way better
I placed an order for rotors and pads, waited a cpl days and contacted "Amy" from customer svc and she lied and told me my order had shipped.2 days later, no info on fedex tracking so I contact her again and was once again told order was shipped. LIES! 2 more days and fedex shows order was received earlier this day. By now, the parts are useless to me due to having to buy locally because I couldnt wait any longer. Contacted Amy again and told her to cancel my order and she refused and told me no refund would be given but she would give me 10% off my next order. I then tell her that it will freeze in hell before I ever do business with those crooks again. It is now well over a week since I initially placed the order and I have yet to see any parts. They are by far the WORST option for buying car parts and if you are smart, you will stay far away from this crooked place. If anybody ever decides to file a class action lawsuit against these crooks, count me in!
I ordered front pads and rotors, instead I received front and rear brake pads, called and was on the line for 26 minutes trying to fix rhe issue. Spoke to Aden to get my rotors, paid for them right away and 2 days later still had not shipped. Called them and said my order would not ship until Monday. That means it would take 6 days before Shipping my rotors which I was supposed to get with my brake pads.
Worst place to order anything for your car they customer service is poor 0 out of 10 I order a part they send wrong size I return it and they didn't wanna send me back my refund so be careful they rip off really bad experience
I ordered parts for my cord fusion including 4 control arms and 2 cv axles. The control arms came on the predicted shipping time but the axles weren't in the box I call customer service on a Friday and they say that they don't know what's happening callback tomorrow and we'll let you know. So I call back and get the same response they don't know and I need to call again on Monday. Again I call back on Monday and they say we don't know why it hasn't been shipped yet. So now I'm out another whole week without a car about to lose my job because these mother$#*!ers don't know how to ship things properly. I live 20 minutes from the store and needed them shipped because my car is not drivable. If you can't pickup your item directly from the store DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Absolutely absurd. Then they offered me a 5% discount on my next order like I would actually do it again and here's the best part you can find coupon codes for their website for 10-20% off every day online and you can't stack that 5% they gave me so basically they said I'm sorry and did nothing to fix the issue. Would give zero stars if possible they cost me my job. Edit. I just received my axles on the 19th lost my job and they painted over and old axle on the part the sits in the differential absolutely terrible $#*!ing company shipping rusted ford parts with a new boot and some fresh paint. Now I'm sitting here soaking this axle in paint thinner so I don't have a differential filled with paint
I got the parts within a week no complaints there. I'm sure the parts are correct also. I got into an accident and car is totaled no longer need the parts and for a return they want my order number but they pull up someone else's account for ball joints. She said I'm sorry give me the correct number I said this is the correct number she said I'm sorry and hung up on me. I wasted $166.
I was referred to them by a friend, I ordered parts on January 27,2024, it is going on Feb 2,2024 and, my parts haven't even been shipped yet, I've called and spoken with FedEx on the phone and they haven't even received my order, to ship it yet, website says they ship the next business day, that would have been the 29th, I'm freakin 3 hrs away from them, I could driven there and picked up my damn self by now, my vehicle is hanging on a mechanics lift waiting for the parts to arrive,,,, everytime I call Detroit I get excuses and the run around, they've already gotten my money, if I don't have my parts by next Monday, I'll Borrow someone's vehicle and go see them in person, definitely won't make this mistake again, I'll go buy used $#*! from the junk yard before I'll ever buy another thing from this damn place again,
Keep giving me excuses that my parts are coming from somewhere in Texas, even though FedEx tracking Website says that the sticker was made in Ferndale Michigan, I hate being lied to, especially when I've already paid my money and, not only am I being inconvenienced, it's also inconvenienced the mechanic who is working on my vehicle, I've called damn near every day this week asking for my parts, just ship the $#*! already.
I purchased parts from this company several times, purchased wheel hubs, brake rotors and now control arms. I had some trouble with the brake rotors scoring they replaced them under warranty no problem except I had to pay $45 shipping and was not happy.
I purchased lower control arms for my Nissan Murano in May 2023, and was informed by my Nissan dealer in December 2023 that I needed new control arms because the bushings were all cracked. The companies return policy is total crap. I paid over $400 to have them installed and now I have to have a new set installed again and pay again.
The company offered a new set under warranty but would have to pay 45.00 for shipping
The company offered zero help as far as the labor cost. The supervisor tried to blame my driving
I would NOT RECOMMEND purchasing from them. The cost for their products are cheap but so is the quality
Sent The Wrong Parts, Hassle to deal with customer service, spent about 2 hours taking to customer service, sending pictures and finally a video to get them to help.
This is my prep to file a complaint with Amazon:
Product Condition: The remanufactured rack and pinion do NOT meet OEM standards. The quality of the workmanship and the internal components are inferior. It may meet fit standards but does not meet reliability and performance standards!
Poor Customer Service: Detroit Axle has an "F" rating with the BBB. They are known by many to have not just poor customer service but more like horrendous customer service. Even in your own Amazon reviews you can see a pattern of neglect. This neglect is spread to Amazon by your willingness to provide a seller platform.
Suspicious Reviews: I see a pattern where Detroit Axle is selling a product, the reviews look acceptable. Amazon (3.3 of 24) (eBay 99.7%) However, if you look at 3rd party sites not selling their products such as the BBB 2.39 stars out of 5 and Site Jabber 1.5 stars out of 5, you will see a rating much lower. It is my opinion that Detroit Axle has inflated their reviews on sites where they have a selling presence.
Customer Trust and Reputation: Due to my experience with Detroit Axle I have absolutely no trust in them producing anything with recognizable quality. As for reputation, The Better Business Bureau says it all with their "F" rating.
Reputation in business is everything. Amazon has probably spent billions of dollars building a top tier reputation. Who you, as a company associate with, can cause irreparable damage.
It is my opinion that Detroit Axle does not meet the minimum reputation standards of Amazon and should have all sales suspended and removed from your platform.

THIS BUSINESS HAS AN "F" RATING WITH BBB.
In December 2021 I purchased a rack & pinion assembly for my SUV. It cost 165.00 plus about $480 installation. July 2022, seven months later, the new unit was leaking fluid and had to be replaced. It had a lifetime warranty, but I had to pay the shipping on the ~40lb assembly.
Again, I had to pay the $480 installation. Now September 2023 is 14 months later and the part is exhibiting the exact same failure. Spewing fluid making it extremely hazardous to drive the vehicle. I have lost faith in Detroit Axle and do not believe the quality standards align with industry standards.
The likelihood of having 2 units with the exacts same failure mode only demonstrates a lack of quality control. I have lost faith in them and requested a refund and was told there would be no refund. I have spent over $1,000.00 so far and am no further ahead than when I started.
In my opinion, this company preys on people in need then sells "cheap" inferior products throu Ebay and Amazon hoping the customers just moves on.

It is no surprise the BBB gives them an "F" rating, The lowest grade possible! I am really surprised that some of your retail partners, Amazon or Walmart even consider your products with an "F" reputation. Perhaps they are not aware?
I got charged for shipping two times and still didn't get the right product and then they charged me 31 more dollars to restock it so they got me for almost 90 bucks and I got nothing from them so watch out because they will get you too
I ordered parts online through Amazon and have tried to be understanding while the status of my order says "running late". I finally reach out to see what is going on with my order and am told it was already delivered. I explained I did not get the package. I was told FedEx delivered it so that's that. NO, THATS BETWEEN YOU AND FEDEX TO FIGURE OUT. You clearly don't have proof that it was delivered and now you look stupid and unprofessional! I would NOT recommend to buy ANY KIND OF PARTS FROM THIS COMPANY! They will not take responsibility for their poor quality of business.
Received the wrong order twice... they tell me it's correct. Most unhelpful people to deal with. They are extremely unhelpful.
I placed a parts order with Detroit Axle on Sept. 22,2023, the total cost of the parts ordered was $542.01. I received my order on Sept. 25,2023. I turned the parts over to my mechanic on Sept. 26th. A day or so later my mechanic informed me that the CV axles and the upper control arms were not the correct parts for my truck. I checked my order and I had ordered the right parts but Detroit axle sent me the wrong parts. I told my mechanic to supply the the right parts of which he did. I picked up the wrong parts and started the process of returning them. Detroit Axle wanted me to ship them back at my expense (cost of over $125). I called Detroit Axle customer service and after much debate they agreed to cover the cost of the shipping. A few days later I received a notice that I had a refund of $146.16 when I should have received $311.01. Days later I received a refund letter from Amazon showing a Restocking fee of $164.85. That was the cost of the cv axles. Detroit Axle was allowed to steal my money. I have attached a copy of the statement sent to me by amazon.
Answer: A pain in the butt I sat waiting for tech support for hours with no answer.
Answer: Detroit Axle wasn't the low ball company but after doing business with them we got low balled.
Answer: For us it has been a scam and we will never order from them again and request you do not. But the choice is up to you.
