The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor communication, prolonged shipping delays, and issues with product quality and returns. Many customers report feeling misled by product descriptions and express frustration over unresponsive customer service, leading to claims of unethical practices. Conversely, a small number of reviews highlight satisfactory experiences with product quality, particularly regarding refurbished items. Overall, while some customers appreciate the selection and pricing, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a pressing need for improved transparency and reliability in customer service practices.

This company has to be the worst internet company on the planet. They do not sell what they advertise. They must pay people to leave good reviews. They don't let you return anything for a refund even when it's broken. Please believe me I'm a real person who is trying to tell you the truth about this horrible company. Do Not Buy
I sent two iPhones to them at a quoted price of $75.00 and $55.00 + a $15.00 coupon. Phones were pristine and in their original boxes. Took two weeks to hear anything. Then one phone was only worth $5.00 because it now had a LCD pressure mark. (didn't have it when it left.) I declined and had it returned. Showed up without original box, in a plain brown shipper, no protective packaging. Followed up about second phone 2 weeks went by. No response, second phone shows up, back to me. No explanation, and NO ORIGINAL BOX. AVOID. AVOID.
Make sure you click through the entire website until you find the actual warranty information. Decluttr site itself leave misleading and not full information about the policy and if you end up with a faulty product like I did you won't be pleased. Service rep Marc C refused connecting me with a manager.
Do not do business with this company. They are ripoff artists. They offer a price, but then they reduce the price substantially once they have your phone. Their customer service sucks too.
I'd give them zero stars if I could.
Hello Kajal: I am very disappointed with the way my request for my refund is still NOT credited to my Amazon account and also that you have NOT replied to my request that I sent again yesterday. I called Amazon customer service to ask them for assistance and they do NOT have live on-line representatives to take telephone calls due to the COVID-19 situation. Please look into this matter and help me get my $8.91 refund posted back to my Amazon account immediately.
Ntombifuthi and Kajal:
Please re-check... the $8.91 refund you claim that you sent to me on May 9th, 2020 must have been sent to someone else.
I just checked my Amazon account a few minutes ago today at 11:00 am 05/17/2020 and my $8.91 refund (you claim was sent to me on May 9th, 2020) is NOT POSTED to my account even now.
I have repeatedly told Decluttr Store that if they had processed my $8.91 refund as they claim, I would have seen it applied back to my Amazon account back on to my Amazon Gift Card balance by now. I paid for this item with a Gift Card Balance I had on my Amazon account. I have repeatedly checked on my Amazon Gift Card balance since May 5,2020 (and today is May 17,2020) and my $8.91 refund IS STILL NOT Applied to my available gift card balance on my Amazon Gift Card account. I also checked with Amazon Customer Service with an on line CHAT and they DO NOT see the $8.91 refund applied to my Amazon account. So the ethical thing to do is that Decluttr make another $8.91 refund to me. Thanks.
I sent in two phones and on the initial offer, they were the highest to purchase my iPhone 8 and Samsung S20 Ultra. However when they received the phones, they stated something was wrong with the devices even though they were brand new... so I declined their low ball offer price after the items arrived. When they mailed the phones back, they were both scratched on the front glass. Please please do NOT use this company. Use uptradeit.com or someone else. These people are horrible!
I sent in a dozen tablets, iPods, Samsung phones, games and iPhones. They kept my items for months until I finally had my lawyer contact them and they said they changed what they accepted one week after I sent them. No communication, no nothing.
It went from paying me over 300 to 13. They're shady, dishonest and I will blast this everywhere until they go out of business. I needed that money because I lost my job like millions of others because of COVID. And now I'm out both my money AND my items I could have sold. This company needs to
Go out of business.
Device: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
Condition: Good condition - Factory reset
Declined by Decluttr: Block/Barred
They said that they're unable to give the payment nor able to send back to me. In my opinion, this is a scam because
1. The value of the phone was $71 according to them.
2. Factory reset and was working fine - I checked the phone upon starting up and it DID. It went into setup wizard just like a brand new Samsung Galaxy phone supposed to.
3. I got that phone from AT&T in 2016 - AT&T sent to me after I dropped my older Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (Through AT&T phone protection plan).
There is no reason for the phone being blocked/barred unless this was a mistake made by the staff that reviewed my phone. They refused to pay the $71 or sent back the phone. I could go to Samsung and get it for a direct trade-in! At least, they should have sent me detailed information on why the phone was blocked or how to resolve the problem. I would GLADLY pay for the return fee if they are too poor to send it back to me. I DO NOT recommend using their service because they are not transparent with their vetting protocol.
To be fair, I will take down/revise this review if they are able to follow-up with my issue.
Sent in a working iPad with a slightly diminished battery. Other than that, everything worked exactly as it should. They received it and said the item was "not as described" even though there were no questions upon submission regarding the battery state. All they asked is if the device is in working condition and has no major damage. They said the battery health was below average. This was the only issue they claim to have found. No kidding. Did they think they were getting a brand new iPad? If they had been reasonable and offered a respectable revised price, I would have accepted it, but their "new" offer basically said the device was worthless. So I declined it, and according to their terms, they would send it back to me for no charge. Received it back in the mail today, and the device has been ruined beyond repair. Something inside the casing now has a huge bulge, the front of the device is separated from the backing, and it will not charge or turn on. Seems this is not unique, as I have read numerous reviews describing the same issues. It appears they quote high prices on tech so you will send it to them instead of someone else, they invent some excuse to give you a revised price (something barely more than zero), and if you decline it, they ruin your device. When pressed, they will likely claim it was damaged during shipping, which is flat out lie. This company may be fine for cheap things like old DVD's, but they will never pay you for anything of value. Shocked they are allowed to continue to stay in business.
Jokes, scam artist. I will be reporting you thanks for participating with this FBI look up investigation. It's time to stop the madness. Ttys
On 03/20/20, I bought a "refurbished" Motorola G7 play. It arrived on 03/25/20. I tried setting it up but quickly discovered it had a Google security lock on it. I had never seen or heard of it before. Kept asking me to enter the original email that was associated with the phone. I called Motorola within 30 minutes of the phone delivery to see if they could tell me how to get the Google lock off. They could not because it's a security lock. They advised me to contact Google. I called Google and they could not help either. I was then advised to return the phone for refund or replacement. I emailed decluttr, they provided a return shipping label. Now today, 04/02/20 they are refusing to refund my money and accusing me of the Google security lock. It's not mine. I'm beyond livid. Hopefully this will be settled in the honest and fair way by them providing a full refund.
Edit: 10/28/20-
I received notification of a "helpful vote" and realized that I never updated the ending to this experience.
So basically decluttr absolutely refused to provide a refund. Luckily I had paid through PayPal, so I disputed the charges. I was able to provide the proof of me calling Motorola and Google, and the reason I called. I just made another short call to both companies to ask if they could send me proof of my initial call to them and had them email me a short overview. I submitted everything to PayPal and they refunded me within a few hours. A few days later, after reporting decluttr to the BBB and FTC, I received an email from Veronica telling me they had decided to refund me. Even that was a lie, they never initiated the refund, it was taken without their consent by PayPal.
I would not recommend anyone purchasing anything from them however if you choose to do so, please use PayPal as your payment method so you have a way to dispute the payment and get a refund if any problems arise. I absolutely believe that past buyers and potential sellers of electronics should get together and start a class action lawsuit against this company. They are nothing but a scamming company with no morals. It's crazy. They need to rectify the issues and be forcefully shut down permanently.
I sent a device and they came back telling me that the device is blacklisted by my service provider which was false as I sent them evidence to support that. They are refusing to send me back my phone, giving me the run around every time I contact them and they have stopped responding even now. You can see why they stopped receiving phone calls. I would seriously advice anyone to stay away from this company.
I sent Decluttr an old phone on March 9th 2020, and received an email from Declutrr stating they had received my phone on March 14th 2020, and their tech's would check over the phone and I would be paid through paypal. Then I received 4 emails from Declutrr asking me why I didn't send the phone, did I change my mind?
I sent them 4 emails back with their email attached showing them that they received the phone on the 14th. I then received the same email, but this time asking me to screen shot their email stating the phone had arrived. I did this and I still haven't heard another word from Declutrr, or payment. Its been 2 weeks now. I think this is a scam company to retrieve items they can re-sell for pure profit... Be careful if you decide to use them!

They lost my phone and are giving me the runaround, even though I used the shipping label they provided and the USPS tracking shows that the device was delivered to their facility on February 15 (it is now February 26). They are giving me the runaround, saying they will need to escalate with USPS. USPS did their part -- they delivered the phone to Decluttr 11 days ago.
I have demanded that they either return my phone, or send me the money promised. They keep replying with canned responses that don't address the issue. Now they are asking for the serial number of the phone -- I don't have it -- they have the phone!
I sent in 2 apple watches the 2 and 3 the 2 came back without its original box and they took my charger 3 came back without charger and the extra band. Very angry they probably took the piece from my watches and so they can use them to sell other watches very shady. There are no phone numbers to call them and the only way to contact is through online chat which gets u no where.
I accepted DeCluttr's offer to buy my used iPhone and sent it to them expecting payment. When they received my phone they falsely claimed that it was blacklisted because it was reported stolen. I checked the IMEI on 3 different web sites and all 3 indicated that the phone was NOT blacklisted. I sent written copies to DeClutter. They then changed their false claim to say that the phone had unpaid bills, so they couldn't buy it, but would return it to me. They did not. I contacted them again to find out the status, and they went back to the original false claim that it was blacklisted. It's been 3 weeks and they have not paid, and are refusing to return my phone. They have lied and ignored proof I have sent them. Do not do business with this company under any circumstances.
I HAD MY GALAXY NOTE 9 CHECKED BEFORE I SENT IT WITH AN OFFER OF $318. I GET AN EMAIL TELLING ME THE SCREEN WAS BURNED AND THEY WOULD ONLY PAY $26. LIARS AND CHEATS. SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.
They will value your items, then take the highest value and log it as NOT SENT which is an utter lie.
They scammed me once on this, and I will never ever use them again. I am very lucky because the item was only something they valued at $3.63 but the distaste it has left in my mouth is real and I hope to hell no one ever uses them again. Liars and thieves.
I sent them a DVD and Samsung Tablet, they were to pay me $3 for the DVD and $13.30 for the tablet which was a very low offer considering it works great, it's just an older model. Well after they received the stuff they gave me a revised offer of $2.20 for the tablet. I declined that offer and told them to send it back. It's been over 3 weeks and I've never gotten it back or any money for it. After about 9 days I finally got the $3.00 for the DVD. They keep telling me they have escalated the process of getting my tablet back to me as soon as possible, but it's the same story every time. They just steal from you is all they do!
I sent an iPhone 8 Plus and they said I sent an iPhone 7 I told them they were wrong and to send back my iPhone 8 Plus and they sent back an iPhone 7
I have never owned an iPhone 7
They are a total scam
