The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor communication, prolonged shipping delays, and issues with product quality and returns. Many customers report feeling misled by product descriptions and express frustration over unresponsive customer service, leading to claims of unethical practices. Conversely, a small number of reviews highlight satisfactory experiences with product quality, particularly regarding refurbished items. Overall, while some customers appreciate the selection and pricing, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a pressing need for improved transparency and reliability in customer service practices.

They was going to give me four hundred for my note ten it took me two weeks to hear anything from them first of all so they send me a email saying my phone was blacklisted or stolen so I got Verizon on the sent them a copy of our conversation and they claim they will be returning my device shortly. I use to deal with them all the time but for all the lies and trying to make me look bad they are done!
I've sent in a MacBook Air, for which they've offered me a fair price. However, I caNNOT reach them to either accept or decline the offer. I've lost the password I used to set up my account and despite ENDLESS attempts to communicate with them, I can't reach a human being who comprehends the issue. They just keep sending me emails reminding me that I'm running out of time to accept or decline the offer — but I can't respond to those emails without my password. I'm very, very frustrated.
Sent in my Galaxy S10 plus unlocked, and quoted a very good price. I sent the device, took 2 days to acknowledge my order only to get an offer that was almost 50% less. The device was in great condition and the only reason that they are giving is "OTHER".
I tried a competitor of theirs and it turns out the lower price they offered matched that of their competitor.
Total bait and switch and certainly a scam. Beware.
Scam service! Was quoted $50 for an ipod with absolutley no cracks, scratches, or other damage. Once they received the product (which was extremely well packaged), they claimed the screen was cracked and the casing was coming apart, but provided no photo evidence. I even shared with them the photos I took of the product immediately before sending it. They reduced their offer down to $5. I declined the offer but they have cut off all contact since then. They have not sent back my ipod like they are contractually obligated to do, they refuse to respond to any message I send, and they have not sent any money. Their scam is simple. Quote you a reasonable offer, claim non-existing damage once it is received, send you a low ball offer, hoping you accept, or just outright keep the product for no payment if you decline and refuse to respond to any attempt to communicate. Stay away from this website.
I bought a new Apple Watch and wanted to sell my Series 2, but because of Covid I didn't want to have to meet up with anyone to sell it. I decided to try Decluttr and unfortunately did not see these reviews first. I sent in my watch in the original box and it had a white band, which was the way I bought it brand new. They offered me $65. After they received it they revised the offer to $22 stating the item was not as described. I declined and had to email numerous times to get my watch back. When I finally received a package from them, the watch they sent me has a black band and is a Series 1 watch. I have tried through numerous emails (because there is no phone number to call that is customer service) to retrieve my phone and it's gotteN me nowhere. I honestly don't know how people who are thieves even look at themselves in the mirror. This company is a scam. If there is a class action suit I'd love to be involved.
I had seen all the positive reviews for Decluttr and I thought I should try them out. Bad move on my part, there were so many problems with one order.
-My order arrived later than your site, and rep, said I should expect it;
-I received a phone that was not able to work on the Sprint network, even though I ordered a phone from your site that was said to work on the Sprint network;
-My return had not been processed still today, 8/17/20, even though it had been confirmed that it was received by their rep and tracking on 8/10/20;
-On 8/14/20 I received email confirmation from the rep saying that the returns department ‘have now processed the refund in full‘. It's 8/18/29 and My refund actually had not been issued to my credit card as was promised by the rep;
-Reps email replies not at all acknowledging this problem created an urgent situation. The reason I was buying a phone is because my last one was dying. Their lack of concern and urgency was very disappointing.
At this point I have had to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
I do not recommend this company to anyone.
On July 9 I sent my MS Surface in for the promised $60 payment. A few days later they claimed that it had camera damage and they would only pay me six dollars. The surface had hardly ever been used except as a desktop, so I don't believe that claim was correct. I asked for my Surface back, and after over a month I have still not received it. Not happy with them at all.
Device was sent in company says Device is blacklisted. Had phone provider verify that it wasn't. Provided proff to Decluttr. Decluttr is not returning phone calls or returning my phone. Complete scam.
Submitted for iPhone 6s Plus in perfect condition and an iPhone 8 Plus that the camera was messed up on. They offered me $99 for the 6 and 39 for the 8. I shipped them, wrapped in fuzzy socks with tons of padding. When they received them and tested them they claimed the 6 had pockets on the screen and the lcd was messed up. It was not when I sent it. They then said they couldn't file a claim on the shipping because I accepted the offer, I did not. NOW they are saying my bank information is wrong and they will have to send me a check! Stay away! They are now offering to pay me 21 for a phone that is in perfect condition!
I sent in two iPhones expecting a payment of $685. I received an email saying that the payment was sent... no payment has been received. I contacted customer service and they said there is nothing they can do, since the payment shows as sent. So I'm out two phones and $685. The customer service is terrible and no phone number to reach anyone for actual help
I sent them a Galaxy A50 after receiving an offer of $70.00. I used their label and tracked it until it was delivered to their facilities. I emailed them to confirm and got a response saying the box I sent was empty. BS! I have the shipping receipt showing the box weighed 10.3 ounces. The galaxy A50 weighs a little over 6 ounces and the box and packaging made up the rest. After I replied with this info... crickets. I filed a complaint with the BBB who sent it over and got a message back saying they are will refer this to their Claims Dept. I then received an email from the Claims Dept asking for the EMI number. I dont have that! You have my phone! How can I pull it up when YOU HAVE MY PHONE! Side Note: During this whole debacle, I sent a Note 9 and Galaxy S9+ to Gazelle. I sent them after the initial "nothing in your box" email. As of today, I have had both other phones processed and checks sent and received from Gazelle. Not only that, but gazelle emailed me after getting the box and said the S9+ was in BETTER condition that I indicated and they were INCREASING the offer by $10.00! Decluttr is a SCAM! If you want to sell electronics I cannot recommend Gazelle enough. DONT USE DECLUTTR.
I was looking for a quick way to sell some CD's, DVD's and an old cell phone. I came across Decluttr and it appeared to be legit. I used their scanning app to go through all the items I had. They were accepting a majority of them. Although they WAY underpay for the items, it seemed to be very convenient. I packed all the items into one box, but according to their direction packet, the box could not weigh more than 20 lbs. So I split the merchandise into 2 separate boxes, both under 20 lbs. I shipped them according to THEIR instructions. I received a receipt from the UPS store showing that I shipped 2 boxes. A week or so later I received an email from Decluttr stating that they received my shipment. Approximately a week after that I received another email stating that they only received one box. I informed them that I shipped 2 boxes following THEIR directions and even scanned and emailed the UPS receipt. Their customer service pretty much told me "too bad, let us know if you want us to pay you for the box we received". The customer service rep seemed very unwilling to even try to help me in the process to find my merchandise. I do not recommend this company and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
Paid $345 for a Samsung Galaxy S9. Worked for 1 email and 1 phone call... twice. Have tried multiple times to get a response through email. Their phone number doesn't work. Currently, I have it under PayPal review and plan to return the phone via insured certified mail. Only choose to purchase through declutter because of the 4 star BBB rating. Lousy company... save yourself a headache and buy elsewhere!
This is not a business it's a scam. The customer support phone number is fake and when you call it states all circuits are busy regardless of the time you call. They stole one of my devices after saying it had a bad ESN I contacted the cell phone provider and the ESN was clean. They do not pay the next day as they claim. Please avoid this place at all cost. I have an email stating that they would return my device and it's been weeks no device. Now I'm am forced to file multiple complaints against them. I also believe that they are doing this because of racial reasons. Avoid or risk being scammed.
They offered $45 for my old phone. This was way more money than any other site would offer me. Once they had it, they offered me $9. They said it was not in the condition I claimed. I answered all of their questions honestly. They just knew that once they had it, they could offer me much less and I would probably take it. Really a bait and switch situation. They baited me and knew they would not give me $45 from the beginning.
Not an honest company.
An order was never delivered. I contacted Decluttr three times through their "customer service" system over a period of 2-3 weeks and they ignored them all.
I sent in two items in the same box. They claimed to have received one but not the other, which is impossible because, as I said, they were in the same box. It has been almost a month and they not only refuse to give me any information, they will not pay me for what I sent to them. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have sent them countless emails asking for information, but no one ever gets back to me. They either lost the phone and are trying to avoid taking responsibility, or they legitimately stole it so as not to pay me the full amount I'm due. Whatever the case, do not trust this company. It's a scam and they will steal the items you send.
Stealing bad, don't pay your items, careful be careful is mr Chris a bad shameful person who will soon write you telling we don't pay all because we think that your items are not good
I received a fair offer from Decluttr for my iPhone X for over $300. It was in excellent condition. Once they received it, Decluttr falsely claimed there was "screen burn" and revised the offer to about $50. What a great way to boost their profit! Bait and switch.
I posted a review on Trustpilot with proof of all the emails, screenshots, pictures of my phone working perfectly - and Decluttr challenged it. It's been pulled, for now. I'm fighting it.
People need to be warned. I thought they looked legit and was lured in. They are a SCAM. Evil people just trying to scam regular consumers just trying to get a fair price and resell their stuff. Shame on whoever works for and runs Decluttr. What a bunch of rip-off artists.
The people who do the book quality checks are MORONS! They recycle books that are in perfect condition because they are so lazy they didn't bother to read the title of the books and never looked for the ISBN inside the book when ISBNs are not in the back cover. Thus, the "NO BARCODE" found state.
Answer: It is a legit company that reserves the right to keep your stuff and not pay you
Answer: I go to the library and print out shipping label. Go to Yahoo mail, or whoever you use, and you can print from there. Hope this helps Julie! And YES, they suck!
Answer: I've never purchased from them, only sold, but if they're dishonest in one direction it seems likely that they're dishonest in the other direction too.
Answer: Seemed legit and were mentioned on several respected web sites
If you're looking to make quick cash or just need to declutter, sell your stuff with Decluttr today - we accept phones, CDs, DVDs, games, books, tablets and much more!
