I order this helmet with 3 other companies waited 3-4 days to get a email saying that it was on back order. I confirmed with each company and they promised that they had it in the warehouse. Come to find out they were just playing the middle man. Cycle gear shows same the inventory to make me a believer sure enough the next day I got a email from fedex saying my package was on the way! I have a cycle gear near me so I was able to look and try things on. Online has more options and colors. Sadly not everything online is in store, and I only order things I can try on first. Shipping was good and fast, I was surprised almost every item came in its own box, I wouldn't mind if they grouped them together for less waste.
Loved how fast the product came. It showed up a day earlier than anticipated. I loved the shades and the packaging it came in! Just wish one of them fit into my helmet, but still good shades to use even off the bike!

Ordered a new set of tires for my Goldwing what I received was a 2023 and 2024 year old model tire, when I inquired I was told they could not guarantee production dates. And go watch a video about tire age. If they posted that on the tire ad I would not have bought them. I would have gone to my local store. When you order a New item you expect a new item.
I purchased a set of Pirelli Angel GT tires. They were delivered to my local store within 2 days and the mounting/balancing took about a 1-1/2 days. Overall a good experience but I wish the store would have communicated my order status better rather than me constantly calling.

As a new rider I was a bit nervous coming in. My first experience was okay but not that great. I decided to visit one more time and my second visit was great! Steph helped me out and was very patient and explained everything to me so I understood everything a lot better and felt confident with my purchase. She gave me tips that I didn't even think about and appreciate her going the extra mile to help and support me. I picked up the order and there was another guy that did very well with helping me further and made sure the helmet fit perfectly and gave me more information and tips. Both of them are very nice and extremely helpful
As usual there was a fairly decent selection and fair pricing. Product shipped quickly and arrived one day late by fault of the carrier. That was the first time for a delay during shipping but it also seems somewhat common that the carrier marks it "delivered" and it magically shows up the next day.

Instead of being grumpy about all my returns, they were so amazingly kind and patient with me. They both certainly went ABOVE & BEYOND. And finally I was able to get some gear that actually fit! I was treated like a friend/family and left so HAPPY… I hope they are properly rewarded for all their hard work and remarkable customer service! The first time I went to pick up the shoes 2 men were very happy and enthusiastic. But the second time I came, the woman seemed very uncomfortable when talking to me. I said the recipient's name but she was very annoyed when asking "which shoes?", "give me number order". And I tried the shoes. I was waiting for her while she was talking on the phone. I feel so sad when being treated like that

The delivery date on this order was all over the board, FedEx stated one delivery date, but the package never was delivered, then they had another date listed, but that changed as well.
So bottom line is the tracking you receive from FedEx/Cycle/Gear is unreliable.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
