Needing larger size helmet and jacket caused me to have very limited options as well as brand seen on site were not available in store. With brands all being unique in sizes makes it hard to know what to get from your online store.

So, in order the get this on you start with this little opening at your shoulders, put your feet through that fight it over you hips and then fight to get your arms in and then rip you scalp of getting the neck over your head. It's awful

This is my first Shoei helmet. I ordered from CycleGear and because it is an older model it had s great price tag on it. The package came fast, however when I opened it I got s little surprise as the sun visor was in down position and didn't want to go up as it seemed like one side was broken. I was almost ready to send it back when I thought let's see if I can find some info about how to replace the visor. Luckily I figured it out and I just had to click it back and it was working as it was supposed to be. I'm nit sure if it was an open box/ retuned product but it looks unused so I'll keep it for now. The helmet size accurate and really comfortable. I was able to install the Sena 20 Evo communication. You have to put it little bit farther back than usual, but still easy to use it. I didn't try it on the road yet, but I'm confident that I will like it it.
Find the replacement armor pads i needed for my jacket, which was kind of an old one. The shoulder and elbow pads were perfect, the back piece was a little smaller than the original but nbd. The coupons and gift cards I was sent for creating my account didn't seem to work though

Great experience after someone spoke to me. I stood at the wrapstand for minute or two while two associates looked me in the face and did not speak or say anything. Then when I ask if I could be help a female associate ask what I needed. It seems like they did not to be bothered or make a sale.

I purchased a new tire at cycle gear and was going to have it mounted at our local store as always. The tube needed for my bike was not in stock so the staff ordered the correct tube, I left my tires ( new and old) there and when the tube came in the staff called when it was ready to pick up.
Can't complain, haven't used it yet as I don't have a bike and haven't completed the MSF course just yet. But overall seems like a good helmet.

Received both front & rear tire replacements for my Honda Rebel 500 w/in a week of ordering them. They each came on different days, but both came in time to be installed before my upcoming trip. Great so far!
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
