I recently visited Cycle Gear and had a great experience. The sales associate explained that I could get better pricing through their website, especially with delivery to the store. I've shopped with CycleGear before and at the physical location (in Edison NJ), the associate was extremely helpful and actually took the time to help me purchase my first helmet earlier this year. He was very kind, genuine and knowledgeable. The website is also easy to navigate and I can easily weigh my options of picking the item up at the closest CycleGear store or get it shipped to my house. Shipping is also usually very quick which helps my decision to choose CycleGear over other retailers. I've also had to return items that did not fit before and the returns process was not painful at all, unlike most other experiences I've had with other retailers.

I ordered a size up from my usual, because most reviews said it ran small. It was HUGE. I guess it depends on how you want it to fit, but for riding, I like mine just a bit snug. I went from ordering the 2XL to reordering a L. Other than that, I like it very much. Love the black and white, with black on the collar and cuffs. Looks great.
I have not yet used the Cardo set yet, so cannot speak on it, but the shopping experience and shipping were great

I found what I wanted online. My local store did not stock either brand I was interested in so I could not try one on prior to purchasing. I feel that with prices of quality helmet's now there should be a few available to test fit and comfort.

Hunter was awesome. Selection was great although I ended up ordering a few things not in stock. Had them shipped to the store and picked them up a few days later.
The item i needed popped up when I searched. It was an easy process
I needed to update my helmet and boots that I had purchased in 2015. I bought another Schuberth helmet because of the quality and I opted for a pair of Sidi boots. The sales rep at Cycle Gear in San Francisco was very helpful, professional and courteous. The boots I selected were not in stock, so the rep suggested I order them and have them shipped to the store. I ordered two pairs in different sizes as I wasn't familiar with Sidi and their boot sizing. The boots arrived at the store within a couple of days. I went to the store and tried them on, selected the pair I wanted to keep, and returned the second pair. The entire process was seamless and efficient. Kudos to Cycle Gear for helping me obtain what I needed and for making the purchases as easy as possible.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
