The prices at cycle gear are great and they provide good communication and fast shipping time, I had entered my vehicle make, year, and model and was sad to find out the chain they claimed to be compatible with my Yamaha r7 was way to big, I was not educated enough on the product, I trusted cycle gears vehicle fitment filter to find the right size, I ended up braking the chain trying to get rid of some links only to realize I had permanently damaged it and would have to then buy a new one, I take credit to my mistake, I should have read more or taken the bike to a shop but I certainly wish the websites fitment filter was more accurate to my bike spec.
The only reason I knew that I could pick up my order was because I tracked the package to see that it had been delivered to my local store 2 days prior.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
