Four items, two problems. The shield won't latch on the helmet because the base plates were installed out of position. Inspector didn't catch it and I've got to return it. Pants were supposed to be 30/32 (waist/inseam) and the inseam isn't even 31"... my socks show. The Merlin boots were good and you can't go wrong with Dixxon.
Great service! Even a cycle gear fan for many years now and always satisfied
Rebuilding an old vn750 and got new tires mounted, brought the rims in they didn't have the ones I'd scoped out online but turns out it's such a heavy bike it needed a higher load rated tire anyways so they helped me out with ordering it to the store to mount it. Overall easy and simple
I ordered a set of tires to be delivered and installed on my rims at the Tacoma, WA store. One of the tires I ordered was not the optimal size for my bike. Rather than just installing the tire, the tech called me, explained the situation, and suggested the correct tire. We got the best tired ordered and installed. The customer service I received from the staff in the store was great.
I've never had a problem with cycle gear, in-store or online. The items I ordered arrived on time and in perfect quality. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again if I need something.
Shipping wasn't bad and good packaging. Pinlock just has a weird color effect where everything looks oily and rainbows.
Helpful, friendly, customer service. Made it easy to order a tire, have it mounted/balanced and pick up. Also offered a tire warranty that I bought. Happy with the tire I bought.
Purchased new tire online and installed at CG Plano. It was nice to have the staff member ask me to review the completed installation to ensure I was happy with their work.
The folks at CycleGear in San Francisco have been very helpful, providing guidance, answering questions, suggesting options, and finding the equipment and supplies to keep me safe, comfortable, and having fun on my motorcycle.
Ordered a slip on exhaust. Was packaged well, came unblemished and quickly.
The store was having a hard time keeping an item stocked. The customer service person in store suggested I put in my name for a back order and I was emailed when the part became available making it possible to order it. It arrived in a couple days and I am happily riding my bike :)
I order thing from Cycle Gear many times with no problems encountered
The saddlebags were in stock and shipped quickly. They're generally well made, however there's a slight defect in the stitching ( in a very obvious location). Likely a QC issue with the maker, as the carton appeared factory sealed. I couldn't really justify expending the resources to return them, however I definitely should have purchased these in the store to have looked them over first.
Received my order in 3 days. Great fit and build quality.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
