I can always get what I need at Cycle Gear, and the customer service at the Springfield store is always excellent if I need to return something.

This cycle gear store is very small and has limited options for in store shopping, however using the ship to store option is very convenient. I completely understand the need for surveillance due to the ridiculous amount of shoplifting, but it is also really uncomfortable to shop here (worse than a car lot) that an associate follows you to "help you shop" the entire time you are in the store. I'm much more likely to spend momey when I'm browsing and looking at other items. Every time I'm here it is so awkward I tend to look for a specific item and get in and out immediately.
My only wish is that you had a seacoast area location in New Hampshire. Other than that, when i have time to get to a location, I really like the selection.

**Updated** Cycle Gear reached out to me within 24 hours and provided a credit to my account and an apology for the hassle. I've never had a negative interaction with their customer service, online or in-store.
First time having this issue with Cycle Gear. The Dunlop tire arrived with a completely collapsed bead rim because there was no insert to keep it open during storage/shipping. This made mounting the tire a royal P.I.T.A. And made it impossible to seat the bead. They couldn't seat it either. Had to take it to a Big Brand Tires that had a heavy duty shop compressor to get it seated & inflated.

They where able to find what I was looking for in color that I was looking for.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
