Worst online shop ever! They create problems that doesn't exist, with a massive and ridiculos red tape. If you live abroad they won't sell anything, even with an american bank debit card. Terrible!
Bought a stereo for my run of the mill 2014 caravan. Their instructions said no cutting of the dash required. Well, after wiring I up I find I does not fit in the opening. The radio is too big so without hacking the outer dash, it's not going to fit. I decided to call and find out I this was normal and all I got was attitude. Tech told me I didn't read the instructions or fit info. When I proved him wrong on both counts, he then said I must have some special model. No apologies, no solutions, he just tried to blame me. And then hung up. I'm sending this junk back. If I can't can't get accurate fit info or tech support I might as well buy it on Amazon for less money.
I purchased a complete car radio but paid for it but all the parts were sent. I did not realize that until later on. They claimed that the weight recoded is in indication that it was complete. That package was full of paper.
Bought a kenwood radio and after 3 months started having moisture behind the screen. My jeep is a pavement process top goes down doors off but has never been in the rain and does not leak. Was told by customer service that humidity can cause this issue but was then told that there was probably more than just humidity to blame and because of the moisture my warranty was void. End result if you buy a radio from Crutchfield remember humidity will void your warranty.
Hooked up 2 vehicle radios f250 and sub in Jeep
Every time I called for assistance every person helped tremendously Oakley, Andrew, Rudy etc etc
I called at least 5-6 times total
Definitely purchase from Crutchfield to get the knowledge, help needed
Thank you 🙏
1st system i bought died in 1 year had to send it in JVC,, and it was 3 weeks getting repaired. I gave them a 2nd chance and order car radio and speakers for my jeep. It came missing the 4 sm screws that hold on the faceplate. I called to get them mailed to me. 2 days later lady calls and say i have to call the company that made it for the parts. WTF? They should have done that and forward them to me or open another stereo and sent those to me and sent that one back to the company that they get them from. They lost a customer.
Horrible Sales Support and possibly one of my worse experiences ever. They do not care about their customers. Check Amazon or any other retailer.
I bought speakers and one of them was defective right out of the box. Crutchfield took care of the problem super fast and without the normal headaches like dealing with eBay or AMAZON. Crutchfield Customer Service is the best I've ever seen.
Thank you,
Jim Mc.
While Crutchfield promotes self-installation as a cost-saving measure, the process falls short for complex setups and lacks the promised level of custom support. Customers should be aware of potential complications and hidden costs before proceeding.
Key Concerns:
Misleading Information: Crutchfield's "Custom" installation instructions are not truly specific to individual car and radio configurations. Additionally, instructions for accessory parts often lack clear guidance and require referencing separate manuals, creating confusion and frustration.
Limited Support: Customer support representatives often refer customers back to existing documentation, even when the specific information is unclear or missing. Moreover, support abruptly ends at closing hours, leaving customers without assistance during critical troubleshooting steps.
Return Fees: In case of product issues or dissatisfaction, Crutchfield imposes restocking fees, further adding to the financial burden of a failed installation attempt.
Complex Installation Nightmare: For complex setups, the self-installation process can become a time-consuming and frustrating ordeal, negating any potential cost savings.
Recommendation:
For complex installations, engaging with a professional installer at another store offering free or low-cost installation services is strongly recommended. This ensures proper installation, avoids potential headaches, and guarantees accountability for any issues.
Overall:
While Crutchfield's self-installation option may appeal to technically inclined individuals with simple setups, the lack of truly customized instructions, limited support, and potential restocking fees make it a risky proposition for complex installations. Customers should carefully consider these factors before choosing Crutchfield for their car audio installation needs.
Have to ask tons of questions to receive decent customer service and overpriced products. Misleading multiple people. Weak and liars! Spoke with other customers also.
This place has live people that can help you with any questions for installing their equipment. I cannot believe in this day and age you can get live help in less than a minute
I recently purchased a stereo and installation kit from crutchfield.ca for my truck. If you buy both at the same time you get a discount on the installation kit that makes it nearly free and you get free shipping. The stereo was nice but the installation kit didn't fit even though I talked to one of their advisers first. I called them and they told me I had to order a different installation kit from them but don't worry they would take care of it. So I ordered another kit, paid for it and the customer rep said he would remove the charge so it would be free. Two days later I noticed I was charged the full amount plus about $30 extra. I phoned and asked another customer rep what was the deal. She says that I had to pay for the new installation kit (I must have heard the other rep wrongly) and I had to pay the shipping to get it. When I heard this I said is it shipped yet, she said yes and then I said I was just going to send everything back. She said yes you can return everything but you have to pay to ship back everything to the United States and there would be a 15% restocking fee on top of that. This whole ordeal was a nightmare and their customer service just straight out lies to you.
I've ordered from Crutchfield for years. My recent purchase was exactly what I expected. Great service, great warranty, zero issues. Save yourself the trouble of ordering from places that have zero after purchase customer care...Sonic... If you want a worry free transaction order from Crutchfield.
They delivered my order 15 days late, and when I returned the complete order without even opening it, they just refuse to issue a refund.
Nicest sales team and always accommodating. One less thing in life to be stressed about. This company is a National Treasure, and for many decades.
Hesitated to choose between the Sony or Senheiser audiophile headphones since their specs were similar. But Ziggy, their expert, clarified some crucial points to me and I bought Senheiser Momentum 4 Wireless.
I purchased my first item from Crutchfield (QLED TV) and it arrived today. I had promised myself to use them since I got excellent advice from them on a different product, a year ago, that they no longer carried (was discontinued) and they told me to get one even if it meant going elsewhere. So, I got my next TV from them. New TV's are not easy to ship as the glass is so thin. It arrived perfectly and right on time with no drama from UPS (their only shipping partner). Since Covid nothing has seemed to go right in customer service - Crutchfield is the obvious exception. I am now a loyal customer.
EXCELLENT Customer Service! Needed help getting a dash cam today... staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Also great selection in stock! Highly Recommend!
I placed an order for about $250 worth of Crutchfield products to be shipped to a postal parcel station in Blaine Washington. I jumped through all the hoops and they placed a charge against my credit card which went through my bank with no issue. Then they decided that they needed to confirm that I had an account with the postal parcel station and they emailed the station for this information. I checked with the postal station and they confirmed that they responded to Crutchfield's request. Crutchfield said they did not receive it and elected to cancel my order. I checked with Crutchfield and they confirmed that they regularly send product to this station. So it wasn't that they didn't know if the postal station existed, they simply didn't know if I had an account there. So what, if they sent the parcel to the station and I could not pick it up, they could always take it back with a suitable restocking charge. They had already demonstrated that they could take the full purchase price out of my credit card.
No when I go to the postal station, i need to identify my account and they won't release any parcels unless I produce government issued identity. So whether they confirm if I have an account should be irrelevant to Crutchfield. I have made many purchases through this station from Amazon and others and have never had this problem.
Anyhow, I won't be placing any orders to Crutchfield again, and I recommend caution to others.
I ordered a lg OLED TV in stock. Crutchfield says 2 day shipping. It's now going on a week and I still have not received my tv. I live in NC.I could driven to Crutchfield and picked it up. So much for 2 day delivery!
Answer: I've bought outlet item for many years now and never had an issue or even needed to return. I'm pretty sure you can return if not happy with it. It says it under the price after you click on that item I believe
