Worst experience I have ever had with a bank. I am closing my account when I get the money back that they owe me. Called them three times and messaged them fuve to six times about a double payment taken out. They double charged us and have not fixed it since march first. I bet if it was their money they would do a better job getting it fixed. Do not bank with them!

Jan 2023 someone paid a oge elect bill of $496.16 using my elderly 81 yr old mothers chime card. We disputed it 4x with a police report of fraud. They have refused to give back the money 4x. Yes u read right, 4x with a police report. I'm gonna tell anyone and everyone I can what they did to her. They r fdic and supposed to protect ur money. Ya what a joke.

Wrong routing numbers

I received a chime card to have my taxes sent to and the routing number is wrong and the IRS said they sent to them and they saying they don't have my money. Bad business,they not trying to help recover my money

Unlike credit card purchases, if you don't receive your item…chime will NOT help you get your money back. DO NOT used chime for any purchases. There are many scammers out there and chime is one of them.

Forced to give one star

I'm incredibly angry I have to even give one star the fact that they boast about early direct deposit is absolute BS when your payday falls on a holiday Your pay gets deposited two days after the intended date while you're waiting to pay bills. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't believe the lies how many holidays fall on a payday think about it it's not worth it. Get a real bank instead of this technological company that isn't even actually a financial institution.

False advertisement

They tell you will get your check two days early that's a lie I been waiting on my two days early check for a while now I even look to see if it has posted on my job account it shows clearly that it has been an I send them the information they tell me something different an put it all on my job lol what's funny is soon as I did they ended the chat so I really know this false advertisement an then they have problems with the system it will send you an email on some days saying son has changed in your direct deposit an then get you all scared they canceled my card because someone call in on my behalf an said it was use unauthorized an it wasn't me I was trying to see if someone was trying to hack my account an he goin tell me to get off the phone an get on the app an make a request I don't understand why I would do that an I was on the phone with them so if I get off the phone an make a request I will have to wait til they get it to write me an tell me what's going on by the time they get it whoever was trying to get in my account would've took the money by then an they just not secure because I told him I wanna know when an where the call came from he couldn't tell me nothing at all it they just a front to get you to sign up DONT DO IT

You are better off stashing your money away in a shoe than to think it is safe with Chime! I literally had to transfer my money and change my bank! I had a checking account with these idiots for over 4 yrs before i needed to file a dispute for paying for awful unacceptable services i received. THIS WAS MY FIRST AND ONLY TIME FILING A DISPUTE SO ITS NOT LIKE IM A CROOK AND TRYING TO JUST GET MY MONEY BACK THE SERVICE WAS TRULY TERRIBLE AND I EXPRESSED THIS TO THEM OVER AND OVER. Long story short, they ended up closing my case before even investigating it and when i called over and over to try to get an update these sorry people told me it had been closed but no explanation was provided. What actual successful bank operates so sloppy and unprofessional? I genuinely hope this fake "bank" goes out of business soon because at this point they are not special so many other REAL banks offer 2 day early direct deposit and allow you to overdraft. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BANKING SOME WHERE ELSE

Their CEO claims to expect and cultivates customer centrict workforce for Chime. What a blatant falsehood! My fiancée made a hotel reservation through Hotwire but failed to mention an additional 100 room deposit but quickly removing 52.75 from his account. We have provided written documentation from the hotel's manager and general manager that we did not receive the room, their employee not my fiancée canceled the reservation due to Hotwire's FTC violating ads that do not disclose all PROBABLE charges to receive the services requested. Hotel manager also included her information so Chimes disputes department & the magical unicorn known as the "investigation team" could contact her. Chime claims on the website landing page to honor visa's " 0 consumer liability" but they do not as anyone requesting an immediate refund for fraudulent charges, (ie monies taken for services not rendered, prices falsely represented, etc) can expect den8al of the up-front refund, hung up on repeatedly by the disputes department, inauthentic apologies, repeatedly informed (after spending 20 to 30 mins repeatin yourself to customer service tier 1 & 2, and disputes tier 1 & 2) that it's "being worked on" but you as a consumer aren't given the option of having a disputes manager take ownership of the issue until resolution like 90% of call centers & business services companies expect here in the US. But expect, as stated before to be hung up on, lied to, have individuals pretend to be members of upper management such as operations managers, quality assurance trainers, etc but do nit expect a resolution after doing all the leg work to prove your claim is valid, should be refunded, and sending the same information multiple times as items like this seem to disappear almost as quickly as you receive their automated message that your email was received.

Chime apparently can't take criticism. I was trying to use them to put money aside to not touch and my deposits from PayPal are nowhere to be seen so I contacted them. One deposit bounced back I guess for different names when they're the same but maybe a blessing in disguise. They obviously didn't solve my issue. I got the survey and was honest and left a negative review. They emailed to say they closed my account after the recent review jokes on them, I closed it already. Now I just hope my money does go back to PayPal.

The company referred to a "Chime" accepted a Direct Deposit payment, deposited a referral bonus into my account and then shut off my access to my money.
They claimed I needed to verify my identify, which I did by providing the requested documentation.
I called multiple times and have desperately been trying to find a way to contact someone that won't claim to transfer and then hang up on me. I Haven't been able to get an answer or my money.

CHIME IS NOT HONEST

Oct 29,2022 I ordered a scooter from BUCKMASO"M" not BUCKMASO"N" only to find our it's a fake website. Nov 4,2022 I filed a dispute with Chime, I checked account fir correspondence, nothing until I contacted CHIME CHAT, I was told it was still under investigation and a decision would be made Feb 2,2023. I called back 2 hours later and chatted with a different live agent she told me my case was closed Nov 14 or so and that she would reopen my case with the documentation I provided. Jan 6 I received a notice to ck my Chime for a document, It was a denial to issue a refund of my 76.00. I will be closing this account with CHIME due to dishonesty of the company. I also mistakenly transferred money to the 2nd card sent to me, and not knowing a credit check was pulled for this it showed on my credit so this card was an actual credit cared pre pay type the consumer puts money on and is tracked by CHIME. I have canceled my direct deposit and will never do business with this DISHONEST company ever!

Second fintech I've tried. Moneylion was the first. They were far better than chime. The biggest problem I had with Chime was I just couldn't trust or rely on them.

Kept my account for 6 months until just moving everything permanently to Chase. The first 2 months with Chime? It was great. Deposits were on time, etc. Then over the summer their system crashed. Google it. No access to app, no deposits, and no cards would work. No access to money for 2 days. I'm glad I kept some $ in my Chase acct to cover. Then my card got hacked and had a $250 charge on it. Submitted a claim with Chime, took 90 days to get my $ back. Most banks this is instant. Then my direct deposits kept getting later and later. Used to come in like clockwork at 10 pm every other Wednesday. Then midnight, then Thursday morning, then Thursday afternoon, then Friday night, then I started getting them days late. Talked to other people I work with, and their banks always had it on time. So I know it wasn't payroll like Chime said. On top of it their app looks and feels like a 5 yr old designed it. You can't easily transfer $ to people like they advertise either.

Overall, try at your own risk. Just keep a standard bank with some $ in there as a backup plan. Because Chime is not reliable.
