Once again on May 31st I'll talk to me about 3:30 in the afternoon I gave chime banking a phone call to reset my password now nobody called me I called China and in the process of the guy resetting my password he was still in my money and for some reason this whale protected banking company that they claim to be is not that protected at all because they let this happen and they don't want to refund my money so let the public know what's going on with chime banking have a nice day
More than 2 months ago I put a dispute in for $50. One transaction of 40 and the other of 10 from same person. After waiting 90 days they only approve the $40 and not the $10. I do not care if it's $10 it should've been returned with the 40. And now I can't get it credited on my account and they want me wait another 90 days. Only do common transactions on chime. They will not refund your full amount and they will make you wait extra long for something simple. And I've been with them over 4 years
Why would Chime send your debit card with your ENTIRE account number attached asking you to set up direct deposit. This makes it so easy for a thief to transfer your money to another account purchase items and set up automatic payments. If anyone wants to set up direct deposit that should be a personal decision that the chime user can make via phone call or through the chime app. This is insane they offer up this sensitive information through mail! Mail could be mistakenly be put in the wrong mailbox or be lost. Mainstream banks do not disclose account information when distributing debit and credit cards. Take notes!
They accepted my check then they said they would return it and then they held it I had to waits a long time. They do anything with your money
I wouldn't trust chime. I reported a few things, and didn't get my money back. Chime took the side of the seller/scammer. They aren't FDIC insured, nor do they back your money at all. Visa doesn't either, so please don't trust chime.
I had my money stolen from chime one dispute was handled but for some weird reason they are not try to give me the other half of my money.why should I have to wait when it's clearly fraud! It makes me sick to my stomach to know how that chime is doing nothing to protect the consumer money
Chime is horrible. I put cash on their card. Spent $187 at Autozone ended up not needing the part and really needed the money so I returned it the next morning. Autozone ran my card and instantly refunded my money was eve able to purchase something else with part of my refund. So I has $168 refunded back onto my chime card. Try to use the cars and the money isn't on there. Chime tells me it will take 5 business days to appear back on my card. It was my cash. Absolutely ridiculous. CHIME SUCKS. DONT USE THEM. SOFI IS WAY BETTER!

When you call from the number on your account, the system tells you it has verified your info and gives the option for a callback when you answer the call it says that everything is verified and then helps in whatever way. UNLESS YOU GET SOME RANDOM WHO ISN'T WVWN IN THE UNITED STATES!
Then they ask for your last 4 of your social which shouldnt be thing if the system verified my info! I will be posting my displeasure on every single board i can find since the rep decided it was ok to raise their voice when i asked why they wanted this info and then wouldnt transfer me to a supervisor!
User's recommendation: The only good thing about them is no atm fees atp.
Chime is not a safe banking option. They allow their employees to hack into customers account removing their funds and refuse to help and fix the issue. I'm a single mom and they emptied my account and refuse to fix the issue. Do not use this company, go to a credit Union or a real bank. You could be next. God bless
Very poor customer service skills and today I tried to withdrawal money from my account it was declined saying insufficient funds so I rechecked my account balance on my phone and I have $409 dollars in my account as I thought at first so I go back and try to withdrawal money out once again and it's still declined but this time that money is showing withdrawn out of my account they said it will take 3 to 5 days to replace my money but this is something that should never happen but since Chime isn't a real bank with a free standing location you can visit it operates how it wants and this is my last time dealing with Chime because they are more of a headache then anything else
My chime account and Google account were hacked 3 years later I want to buy a house and I cannot gain access to my old account because I do not know a street address that my ex changed on my account because she knew that would make it hard to access I give them all my personal information that only I would know sent my pictures of my ID and my social security card I don't know how many times and still I get ran around in the same rotation and circle of things with Promises of returning a call That Never Comes now to talk with an expert of their company they want to charge me $10
5 going on 6 months they locked me out of my account and won't send my money in the mail. 17 calls and 30 emails and the incompetent staff threatening to close an account that was closed after I realized that they were not willing to fix the problem. Staff is lazy and now telling customers they will end their service when you are upset about their bad service and the withholding of your funds.
Chime Bank credits themselves as full service. They are not. They do not do standard international bank transfers, instead they rely on a more costly service. Chime does not do standard bank transfer in the states, though they claim they do. I tried. The Chime agent said it hadn't been implemented yet.
Chime Customer Service answered 5 contacts with them 2 by phone and 3 by email with either useless information that did not address the question, or wrong information. They do not answer simple questions regarding their own system regarding ACH codes or even physical addresses of Bancorp Bank branches used for transactions.
I would never recommend this partial-service attempt at online banking to anyone. I would give them ZERO stars in the review if it did not default to one star.
Chime can't be trusted with your money. I had four $200 transactions taken out of my chime account almost a year ago from MGM properties. I sent them documentation, including my work log proving I was at work in key largo at the time. No where near an mgm. They determined there was no isssue and blamed me saying I made the charges and refused to do anything about it. Then recently I had a friend pay me back through chime and a charge came from something called smiley homie. I had no idea what that was, chime couldn't tell me and said the same thing. No fraud was found and I was responsible for the charges. Do not keep any funds in chime. They won't protect you from identity theft or fraudulent charges. They'll blame you and won't do anything to help you.
Have 5 kids and no money for 3 going on 4 days now. Had to put to file something in court. Got charged 2 times for a total of 410.00. Called several times to try and get my money back. They said it can take up to 7 business days. Honestly do not know what I am going to do.
The merchant already settled. Chime will not give my money back. So so furious!
I had)1600 stolen from my account. Filed a dispute and it got denied stating merchant verified no error. There's no question that $1600 was taken out of my account the problem is it wasn't by me. This company is complete BS. I've been waiting almost 3 weeks. No discrimination, but all the reps you speak to are oversees. There's no US number to call. They say they can't assist you. Trying to get my direct deposited early has cost me big time. Oh FYI, they didn't even do that right. PLEASE, PLEASE don't choose this "bank"!
When I got my chimes account my score was in the middle 500's. I'm in my upper 600's now, it's not all chimes but it really helped. The only thing I have against them is if your wanting to keep your utilization at 0 its almost impossible because of were they don't report everything. Yes I would recommend this card for starting out or rebuilding credit.
Chime says they help rebuild credit. I was rejected with decent credit. So chime is a scam. They lie about acceptance.
They failed to protect my money and did absolutely nothing when I was scammed no dispute no nothing. I'm in the process of filing a lawsuit against this company.
Answer: Yep! Same here. My entire paycheck was drained, then I filed a dispute and they closed it within hours, denying me of course. Next they decided to close my account out of nowhere, I'm sure bc I wouldn't stop trying to get my money back. I'll be taking this to a lawyer.
