Do NOT fall for the false advertising of their Credit Rebuilding Program! They only lure people who are trying to improve their credit buy getting them to have their entire checks direct deposited in a Chime holding account and then, even after they send you a Visa debit card, and verify who you are, when you try to activate the Credit Rebuilding Program, that has to be done in the Chime App, it says your denied because they cant verify who you are!

After complaining to Chime about it, they then requested I send them a picture of me holding my Driver's License, up to my face next to me holding a plain piece of paper with the date written on it! After I complied with the request, the Chime App still denied me with the reason being, once again, they could not verify my identity! Now Chime is saying their is nothing they can do about it! FALSE ADVERTISING at its best.

They now have all of my money and personal information and home phone number and more. They wont even tell me what I can do to try and further the validity of the person they already had me verify on multiple occasions to no avail.

Closing my account! Good luck if your going to sign up with these shysters!

DO NOT trust Chime

I got the credit builder card which has so been great for 2 months & suddenly I got a -77 point ding on my credit report. When I looked at why it's because of Chime. I got the credit builder account to build my credit and everything is paid ahead of time. Every time I spend on that card is paid ahead of time but chime reported to Experian (I talked to Experian) that I owe a balance. The amount of the balance is the exact amount of money on my chime credit report of the difference of money I had spent from the previous month until the current month. There's no way that I could owe money on a prepaid card where every dime I spent was paid ahead of time. I have talked to customer service multiple times and talk to management multiple times and they just keep sending me in a loop and telling me they'll take a note of my issue. They take no responsibility and they refused to fix it and they blame Experian when it is very clearly their issue. They are frauds.

My card was stolen and someone use it and they not even honor it saying my money just gone this worst thing ever im switching my deposit today I never heard of anything like this so im just lost out of money where the insurance etc at this is the worst bank ever I never recommend them to no one

The 1st year and a 1/2 I was doing fine with chime any time I had a problem that fixed it with no cancelations In the past couple of months however I get a fraudulent chargeThey deactivate my credit builder Then my debit card which was supposed to block a certainCompany from taking money out of my account they let it go through And then deactivate my card When I called and asked them why it went through When they were blocked from doing so I am and over the road truck driver I depend on my card To be able to buy food and something to drink while I'm out for weeks at a time All they can tell me now is I could use my online card but I can only do online purchases I can't go to an ATM or get anything over the counter at any store With the money that I still have in my account So basically it leaves me with no money for food or something to drink the whole week I'm out on the road I'm very upset with these people will never do this again with chime

Horrible

I'm having to pay late fees waiting on Chime to release there funds to pay bills, why dose it to so $#*!ing long to release out money, but it takes less then a second when y'all take your money, I'm not trusting Chime and I'm going to close my account because no one can ever help, none of the rep can help, Sorry $#*!

I have been banking with Chime for over 3 years and I've never had a problem until recently. I have the credit Builder card which they keep hassling you to get so they can make money on the credit card purchases cuz that's how they make their money but anyway each month when I get my direct deposit into my checking account they automatically transfer 25% of that to the credit Builder card that is the monthly payment on the card I just got a notice from Capital One which I also bank with that my credit score dropped 57 points because Chime reported to the credit bureaus that I had not made a payment to them since November 1st and I was delinquent, they have destroyed my credit. If that isn't bad enough there is a $35.64 hold or AKA pending transaction that has been on my credit Builder card for over a week and Chime is refusing to remove it. I have never heard of any financial institution that does not allow pending transaction holds to be removed after 7 to 10 days. If I don't know if they have changed ownership I don't know what's going on and I don't know what I can do about it

I had unauthorized transactions on my account even though I had my transactions were turned off for both my credit builder card and my debit card and I haven't even activated my new debit card because I am. afraid to with how much I've had stolen from.my Chime account from. Scammers and I filed a dispute for these transactions with the Chime dispute department. I got an email today stating that they concluded their investigation and determined that there was no error so they are taking the credit of 41.95 out of my account that they had given me while they were investigating my dispute. Funny this is the 41.95 is no longer in my account because I once again got scammed for 39 dollars by Instacart once again with my transactions turned off and no active debit card. Chime you are a huge disappointment it's obvious my hard earned money isn't safevwith Chime so.Im closing my Chime account as soon as I can
Chime is literally allowing these scammers to take food and shelter away from my family and we are already struggling not ok! I can't make my mortgage payment now because of all of the money I have had stolen from.my Chime account by scammers

They refused to get me my money back

These fools only partially gave me back the money that was stolen from me by the merchant Arcani Coil Care. I waited well over a month for these fools to file a dispute only to get an email from Chime telling me that they are not going to give me all of my money back. Customer service at this bank is as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle. It is appalling how incompetent these people are. First, they act like they weren't even going to file the dispute by telling me that they had to work something out with the merchant before they can file a dispute even after I sent them loads of photo evidence that the merchant was a thief. Chime told me on August 30th, 2022 that I would have to wait even as long until November 2022 before they arrive at a conclusion on what they would do about the dispute. I made the order I never received with this merchant on July 28th, 2022, and a few mornings ago I received an email from Chime "support" (they shouldn't even be called Chime "support" because they do the exact and total opposite of support) with them telling me they won't give me all of my money back. They said I don't deserve to have the rest of my money back despite my sending evidence to support my case. DON'T BANK WITH CHIME!

Chime is the worst

They stole my money by claiming that I broke a rule which they won't specify. They told me to send identity verification and I did but are keeping my money hostage in a suspended account because they disqualified my actual identification. I am disabled and homeless to boot. All my money in the world is in there. They are ruthless liars who market to and steal from the poor. My spirit is heavy with the suffering they have caused me. This bank isn't even a bank. It's a big scam. Many people have suffered because of them. Don't fall for their evil advertising. Save yourself the heartache or worse!

When using download comtacts it downloads people you dont know with the same name and u cant get your money back and they bounce you around for hours and days with no possibility of a resolution

Terrible and Infuriating

For the last day and a half I have stood on the phone with Chime for in total over 3 hours. They still have not rectified my problem and have been absolutely NO help. Long story short, I contacted the company myself that took money out of my account without my authorization. Chime in turn, blocked the transaction not allowing the refund to go through. The company told me they would only send me the refund one time and one time only. I called Chime as soon as I saw the transaction get blocked, and I was transferred to 3 people total all saying that they could not help me. To say I'm done with this company is an understatement. I emailed them while I was on the phone asking for help and telling them I was on hold and needed this rectified to which they told me in an email that someone would reach out. Of course they haven't! I'm so upset right now! I hate this company to no end. I would never recommend them. Awful! I guess I'll never get my refund!

The Worst
August 25, 2022

Have had issues with this company since day one. Hacking on account, information changed, and company allowed transfers to an unknown individual. After going back and forth with company(2 months) to unlock account due to hacking, finally getting account reopened, noticed unknown transfer to some individual. Submitted disputes with screen shots of account being locked, the company kept denying the dispute and I never received my money back. Again account was locked and they still allowed someone to transfer money to themselves. Unbelievable!

For me Chime is the best there is out there! If I need money and don't have it the over draft option saves me and mine everytime. I'm never left without and I'm never penalized for it. The "big banks" need to take from Chime and how they take care of there customers. I won't be change it any other bank, probably ever! If they had banks themselves and found a way to keep doing business the way they do, I would stay with them forever! Tell everyone I know to go with Chime! Like I said, I've never been left without when in need and flan that means something to me! Thank you Chime for doing business they way you do business. It's much appreciated!

I had ordered some items off of forever 21. My pages was delivered to the wrong address. So I contacted forever 21 and I was told to contact my card holder which is Chime. I did two disputes with Chime to get my refund and Chime refuse to give me my money back. This is wrong on all levels. I do believe Chime make you go through all these disputes so you can get frustrated and give up on your money. This how this multi millionaire business. Staying Rich. Smh

Frozen account

About a month ago, Chime sent me an email requesting certain information about my account. They told me that there were some suspicious activity going on and they needed a response in 5 days or my account might be suspended. At the time I really didn't take it seriously because I had been with Chime for years. Well they did lock me out of my account until I sent them the requested information. So when I did provide the information like driver's license, social security card, utility bill, deposit information, etc. They still didn't unlock my account. When I tried to call, I was still unable to talk to anyone who's actually over my account. The customer service team said that I would have to talk to the Support team but I could only do that by email and it would take another 24 to 48 hours for them to respond. When they did respond it was the same automated email saying I need to send this or that. Now mind you, I have been doing this for almost a month now. They've gotten all the info they needed and I have the emails to prove it and they still haven't released my account. ANYONE who is thinking about opening up an online account with Chime, DON'T! Even if you are currently with Chime, you really need to consider moving your money to another bank before its too late and you end up like me.

The worst experience I have ever had with a bank, my money has not
Been returned to me after I have repeatedly provided supporting
Documentation for my dispute. They filed my dispute incorrectly and even after 3 agents told me they would fix it my dispute was denied due to "the merchant cannot be contacted because you need to be logged in to an account to speak with them" which is false! The phone number is in bold writing on the apartment complex website. I provided the contact information of my apartment manager as well as a letter from her with her phone number and email along with a ledger from her showing that the money was not received. My $1258. 13 will be returned to me, they will not get away with it.
