Booked a ticket to Copenhagen and due to Covid-19 Denmark's borders closed and then the flight was canceled. Despite of the clearly stated policy Gurufare is charging me a $150 Cancellation fee for a flight that was canceled by the airline (so had to cancel my trip regardless of what I wanted). On top of that I've been trying to get my money back for a month and have spoken to THREE different agents before the refund process even started. It took a week before anyone even answered my email and all the phone numbers they leave in their emails do not work. And if you call the support line you'll hold for 10 minutes and the line just hangs up on you without the ability to leave a call back number. If I don't receive my money back after being charged for the cancellation fee I WILL be filing a small claims suite. 100% do not use this company.

We purchased two tickets and you have to give credit card early in transaction. We realized this would not work and tried to cancel before we were even off the site and they refused to refund our money. This company is crooked. Do Not Use their service unless you want to lose your hard earned money. Crooks!,,,,,,,

Was on hold the FIRST time for 53 minutes and spoke to a employee very hard to understand but did say call the airlines and HUNG UP! Called again (another 50 minutes later) and unfortunately for me I ended up with the same person Charlie #198! Once again didn't get anywhere. WILL NEVER BUY AIRLINE TICKETS HERE AGAIN!

Customer service personnel very hard to understand; wait times over 45 min each time I called.
Was told twice my E-ticket will be ready in a few hours... day later... still no E-ticket. I believe they want you to cancel so that they can charge you. Will be sending BBB a complaint.

Stay away!

I had a terrible experience with this service. Booked a flight through them and they greenlit my card, so I believed all to be well and I went ahead and requested my time off of work. Several days later I get an email telling me my transaction was declined due to insufficient funds, which I know was not the case, as I always monitor my balance.
I rebooked, but in my haste I selected the wrong date for my return and called their customer service line to fix my error, which is where the fun really begins. I would like to preface this by saying that I myself work in customer service and because of this I am always extra polite to other service workers, so was in no way rude to these people to provoke them.
So anyway I was on hold for over half an hour, which was fine, and a representative picks up. We exchange greetings, so he definitely knows that I am on the line and can hear me. Then I said that I was looking for help either cancelling or rescheduling my flight and he gave me this long exasperated sigh before simply hanging up on me. I could not believe it. Not knowing what else to do I called again and spent another 30 minutes on hold. The next person that picked up did help me, but was rude, telling me that he didn't know why I had messed up like that. I really couldn't handle any more of that treatment, so I simply cancelled my reservation entirely and booked through the proper airline, even though it ended up being about fifteen dollars more. Absolutely worth it to not give Guru my money after being treated like that!

I have used this company many times to purchase flights and I have recommended it to multiple people. However, I am extremely disappointed on how this particular event was handled. I purchase a flight from Madrid to Seattle on January 10th. I was checking in with the airline 24 hrs to my flight and, to my surprise, I was told that my ticket was canceled by this company. That evening, my husband called this company and waited to be helped for up to 45 minutes. When he finally spoke with a representative, he was told that we would get a call back in 1 hr. We waited and there was no call back. My husband called back to be told that this was been looked into. He had to call a 3rd time to receive some information. Finally, at 1130pm Madrid time, 13 hrs before my flight, I received an email saying that I had my ticket ready. There was no explanation and no apology for the trouble this caused my husband who had to take time off from work and it completely ruined my last evening with my family.
I wrote the company requesting an explanation and they said it was a computer issue.
I am extremely disappointed on how this was handled, needless to say, afraid to purchase from this company again.

IT'S A SCAM

Somehow these $#*!s hijacked my booking that I initiated through Kayak so I thought it was legit. Well it's not! When I went back to Kayak and tried to book the same flight a second time the site when where it should have in the first place, directly to Spirit. There are only 2 people to talk to and they cut you off mid sentence by hanging up on you. You can't get anywhere. I still have no E-ticket for a flight tomorrow.

You stay on hold for 30 minutes and when they pick up they say hold on and you wait another 10 minutes and get disconnected. This happened three times.

We booked a family vacation through them; the dates of the flight changed (how does that even happen?) and they failed to notify us. The result was that we had to scramble at the last minute and we left later and returned early from our planned vacation. Will never, ever use again or recommend.

Mis-selling tickets

This travel agent mis-sells flights on a daily basis. When purchasing a ticket with Air Transat, the booking clearly stated baggage included as well as on the confirmation of purchase. I then got a secondary 'revised' e-ticket which said luggage isn't included. Fair enough is that the case from the onset but don't mi-sell flights on the pretence that luggage is part of the price you are paying! Absolutely shocking customer service, had to wait 57 minutes to speak to someone about this and when I did they hung up on me. I then had to queue for a further 45 minutes to connect with another colleague.

Will never use again and would advise against all other flyers ever using them.

I am so angry! They are crooks! I bought 3 tickets from them. They make you do a review of their service before you even have your tickets. After purchasing my tickets I had a bad feeling about them. I called and called and got out on hold 5 different times before hanging up cause I was so angry. I emailed them several times before finally getting a call back. Before I got the call back I blocked my credit card so they could not put anymore money in it. When they finally called me back the guy was ride and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Your talking to someone from a different country. They promised me a refund, I still don't have it back and it's been 7 days and they said I'd have it back in 5 days. I am emailing someone back and forth now and they keep saying they gave me my money back which they have not done. Now I'm reporting them to the fraud department at my bank so I can try and get my money back. Do NOT use these people! Their tickets are cheaper for a reason... you don't get them! Save yourself major stress, pay more brought a reputable company.

When you buy air ticket they always ready to pick your call right away but when you select option for cancel or change your ticket they put you on hold for very very long time 99% of time you give up because you have to be so lucky to get some one on the phone. Guys please save your time because time is money and buy your ticket somewhere else. I dont want to see someone going through what I did.

Worst travel agent ever

They are the worst. Was on hold 45 min each call, they know nothing about booking, their agents don't know a thing and they charge my credit without my consent since they had info from the day before due to charges that were done day before that needed to be canceled. Their customer service is bad and their manager stand by them doing wrong. I still can't understand how someone can charge your credit card when 3 times you refused to give them the Security code number yet they did cause they had the info from the night before. I will never ever use them again and advise anyone to avoid them. The Worst of the worst

Bad customer service

Kept on hold for 30-40 mins while trying to change a flight due to medical emergency. Ok i understand that they might have been busy during the holidays. But they kept changing their answers. One time i was told i can not cancel my flight. Mind numbing experience especially when u have just had an accident.

These people can't help you to change the last name and once you wish to cancel your flight they would charge you 500 USD irrespective even if don't get to the flight.

Attempted 6 days in a row to contact Cheap Fare Guru to change a flight due to a family emergency. They never answered the 1-888 number. Was on hold for over 30 minutes. No one returned my e-mails or 'contact us' messages. Will never use their services again.
