I wrote to the attorney general Monday 11/30/20 recieved a notification today 12/2/20. I am happy to announce they are going to monitor the trend of the company for consumer fraud acts. They do NOT HAVE ANY agreement with airlines not they are in the travel business; this is a front to take your money. This SCAM IS LOCATED IN INDIA (The Los Angeles address is fake), and they have 2 people working the scam that use 11 different names. HOW THE SCAM WORKS? (1) They post flights into their website (AGAIN; THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY AGREEMENT WITH AIRLINES), flights that have a 90% to be canceled (based on the history of the flight), or non-existing routes. (2) You book and pay for the flight; (3) within 24 to 48 hours they will notify that some of the flights have been canceled (not all); (4) or they will tell that the airlines made changes to your flight (DO NOT BELIEVE - THE AIRLINES WHEN A FLIGHT CANCELS, THEY WILL NOTIFY YOU, BUT THEY DONT CHANGE YOUR ROUTE); (5) The INDIAN SCAMMER will tell that your previous ticket is NOT REFUNDABLE (IF THIS HAPPEN CALL YOUR BANK AND DISPUTE PRONTO), (6) The INDIAN SCAMMER, will contact you by phone (so is not paper trail) and tell you that they can put in another flight and they will charge an additional $300.00 or more (NOW THEY HAVE YOUR INITIAL AMOUNT PLUS $300.00); and once you book your second flight, the SCAM REPEATS. THEY WILL TELL IS BECAUSE OF COVID-19. MY advice to ALL TRAVELERS, for the next 6 to 12 months book your trips direct with airlines, cruise lines, you prefer travel agents or recognized online travel agents such Expedia, TripAdvisor, Kayak, and so forth. STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP FARE GURU, AND SKYSCNNER.

Measlinding and then when you asked them they would lie on you. Very poor practice! All they do it to take advantage of customer. The Airflight agent told me how awful they were and that we customer should not buy our tickets from this website. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

After being told i was going to be credited for a flight canceled due to covid, i attempted to redeem the $850 I spent only to be told that the flight i was trying to rebook ($150 LESS than the credit I have) I had to pay an additional $150 processing fee. So my $850 quickly has turned into a $1000. Now emails and calls are going unanswered. Unacceptable, would never recommend
They charged me $150 for refund processing fee due to cover cancellations. That was nowhere in my contract with them. While I used their services before during the cover crisis they did not help me at all, they did not process any refunds -I had to fight with my credit card for them,. Very disappointed.
Cheap Fare Guru processed an unauthorized $25 charge after informing me of a one hour departure time change on my one-way flight. I had already paid them an $11.89 fee on a $74.21 airfare. I was not advised of this fee beforehand and when I spoke to a customer service representative my request for a full credit was summarily denied. This company does not operate with integrity and I will not use them in the future.
Airlines changed our flight to a later time on the same day. Cheap Fare Guru's charged us a $25.00 fee because they had to reissue our ticket. This was not our fault the airline changed the flight NOT US. I will NEVER use these people again! The agent was rude and said "that's the way it is"

I have bought 7 tickets this year for myself, my mother, my wife and 3 children from cheapfareguru. They have cancelled my tickets several times, set new travel times, charged my card without my knowledge or approval. I only realized this happened after I noticed the charges reflecting on my statement then I contacted them. The travel dates are in November and December and am awaiting for them to hang themselves more tampering with my itinerary and funds. The customer service are not polite at all, not willing to help or understand and basically give you a dead end which only leaves you with annoyance, anger, loss of funds and regret ever dealing with them as a travel agency. I have contacted several Attorneys in Los Angeles through legal benefits provided through my employer and is awaiting review. I advice all the individuals in numbers that similar incidents happen to please do not let it slip through the cracks. They have done this too long since 2001 so its time to end this and Cheapfareguru which is contradictory to their name! America is way past this kind of business ethics. I would give a zero rating but there's no zero.
The company is asking for a lot more money for new reservation after de airlines change my flight... after paid again extra $165 us dollars for new reservation the airline change again the date for travel... they toll me that they are no going to return my money and that I have to pay for another reservation,,, I need my money back because I can't travel the dates the airline gave me. And also because due to the virus I need my money to solve economics problems... If somebody can help me to recover my money including the exta $165 I paid when I did second reservation, please let me know what can I do. T
Bought a ticker on Jan 26th for flight on March 21 2020. Covid cause flight to be cancelled. Rebooked with them on Aug 6 for flight Oct 3 2020 and paid $198 rebooking fee. Called today as the flight doesn't exist. They offered to rebook on Oct 19 but no flight shows for that date either and the wanted another booking fee. These people are the worst of the worst!
Booked a one way ticket to Chicago. They say that you have 24hours to cancel! What they fail to tell you is that they charge you for cancelling! My flight was on United. United refunds your money when you cancel within the 24hrs! Without a cancellation fee! I than booked with United, and guest what I got it even cheaper than this dishonest company!

Be aware when dealing with this company when purchasing airlines tickets with your credit/debit card online the payment will go through and then in turn tCheapfareguru will use their corporated credit card to purchase your ticket with the airline you chosen. Downfall if you decide to cancel and you contacted the airline directly the airline will accomadate your refund but ywhat you do not know it will be refunded to Cheapfareguru without your knowledge and cheapfareguru will not contact you that they in fact received the refund since they used their corparate credit card. Unless you do research with the airline and get the info from them where the refund weent then Cheapfareguru will refund you after going back and forth with their company demanding your refund. RED ALERT: Watchout and avoid this website!
One person told me to keep credit With the company for a canceled flight so I don't get charged any fees then They proceeded with a refund without my knowledge and charged my card $300 customer service wouldn't help.

They have On hold my return flight, plus $765 extra money for a flight that could not have made it back to the US as you cannot fly from London straight to Phoenix right now.
When you call they are reluctant to give you your money back, stating fees e. T. c.
Thing is I had to fly back on Delta as they were blocking the middle seats.

I did not receive any communication from CFG after they took my investment. My flight was canceled and I did not find out until the night before when i went to check in. That was more than 1-month ago and they still have not refunded my $1000. They can barely speak English. A. Airlines refunded them but they won't refund me. Be careful-I would not use this company!
Customer service is nonexistent. Ben waiting for months for a refund for flights canceled because of COVID-19. Every time I contact Cheapfareguru they can't give me a response as to why I still have not received my refund.
They have had my money for MONTHS for two flights that were cancelled due to coronavirus. When calling for a refund, they just lie and lie and attempt to charge you fees that you never agreed to pay. In my case, fees totaling $450! In the meantime, they have THOUSANDS of dollars of my money! You will regret using them, believe me. They are criminals! They've had my money since April and I haven't received ONE PENNY back! Even minus the fees - NOTHING! When you call their "customer service" number, they just lie and finally just hang up on you. I can't count how many times they've hung up on me. They've stolen my money and they will steal yours. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Purchased ticket at great price in 2019 and completing international flight as scheduled I booked another trip in 2020, then COVID happened and it has been so far IMPOSSIBLE to get a refund or talk to someone in person about rebooking, called multiple times and after long wait times and trying to explain the dilemma was HUNG UP UPON both times by some guy in India who was very difficult to understand because of heavy accented English. Absolutely impossible to recoup my money or rebook, very disappointed and will rather pay more and book directly with the airline than being conned again with these guys.
I've purchased 2 tickets with first luggage included, but unfortunately on the way back I had to pay again for the luggage fees. And their excuse is they have a disclosure (very fine print on their website) that: "We also would like to inform you that it is pre-disclosed in our website that baggage fee is airline fee and need to pay airline directly as it may not always be 100% accurate as the airline rapidly modify such allowance/fee. You must check with the airline directly for most updated baggage information (such as baggage fees, overweight charges and baggage allowance) for your trip". So I wonder why I am paying a travel agency to take care of my booking, if I still have to check with the airline directly? They didn't had the courtesy to let me know I have to pay for it - I found out later that if I would have paid 1 day before flying I would have paid 50% less. And getting an answer from the company it was a struggle... several phone calls and being told they will call me later and I would get the message above. I managed finally to talk with a manager and promised to get a $100 voucher as apologies. That didn't happened and I am glad cause I would not use their services ever.
I have booked flights through different ticket companies but didn't mean to book with Cheep Fare Guru. I hit an ad when I searched Cheep Flights which I really like working with. So booking with Guru I am very disappointed with their customer services. I got hung up on multiple times and when I did get through the man talking to me and I mean "to me" was rude. I needed to cancel my flight and when he was giving me the number I said I was having a hard time hearing him (he sounded like he was working from home on a bad speaker). He told me to listen to him in a very rude tone and still didn't hear him through the static sound. Then he said I need to go look up the number myself. Also if you book with them they will not refund their fees added to the cost of the ticket. If you book with Cheep Tickets they do not have a booking fee.
