Didn't like the back and fourth, the miscommunication, the false information given, the 3rd party miss information. Having had 3 opinions the tire rod outer on passenger side is infact needing to be replaced. Christen brothers said sao yals 3rd party said no and I had a mechanic look at it who confirms what Christian brothers stated. So now what do I do?

Wear & tear

So recently I had my unexpected first experience using CarShield as my Jeep wouldn't start. So initiating the claim felt pretty straightforward in terms of having my vehicle towed. They paid for most of it when I needed to move it to a shop who would work with them. I had it towed originally on my own dime to the local Jeep Chrysler dealership however they refused to initiate a claim so I had to move it. So I'd definitely recommend looking on their site to see who will honor the contract. To my surprise however my claim was denied due wear & tear even though it would have been a covered repair per my policy. The gal at Midas in fact told me that initially they said they'd cover it. I guess since it's a used vehicle, am I to expect the "wear & tear" exception to come into play frequently? If so, I'm on the fence about maintaining this coverage. If I packed away the $129.99/month for my own repairs, I may just be ahead of the game. Needless to say, I'm kind of unimpressed.

Wende, upon further review, it appears the issue was called in as a bad connection on the battery control unit due to corrosion, which is where the wear and tear exclusion applied. Additionally, the administrator noted in the claim that the parts in question were also not listed for coverage under your contract. We want to make sure you have a clear understanding of the covered components as well as the exclusions that apply. My husband requested that we 'trim the budget', so he suggested we 'let go' of CarShield. Reluctantly, I agreed and gave CarShield a call. I had Katelyn as my customer service representative. She was kind and offered us a loyal customer discount and it was sufficient to where my husband said 'YES'! Delighted to know that we WERE and STILL ARE valued customers by CarShield!

Never went thru such a Journey before! My vehicle has been in shop facility going on two weeks? I appreciate the thoroughness which is needed? When I had service performed on MY Cadillac at the dealer or other Authorized/Trusted Repair Shops... I was offered a loner vehicle which I definitely needed to get to work! I am renting a vehicle which I believe will be reimbursed after the results are final. The anxiety is relentless! I Pray that this Repair will not be Major' but if it is. I hope/Pray it will be covered?

Phone System was down

The phone system was down and so the car repair shop was unable to get my claim processed in a timely manner. This delayed getting work down on my car which made ne not have transportation. After 2 days of not getting through, contact was finally made. The claim successfully went through without any hassels. I was thankful for that, because of all the negative reviews you here on the news about carshield not paying for repairs.

My Experience

My car stopped turning over headed home from the gym one early morning at a gas station (where I was picking up a Red Bull). I walked home, checked for recommended repair shops nearby on the Car Shield App, then called Car Shield for a two. The two arrived an hour and a half later and towed the car to the repair shop. I left a note on my windshield that included my Car Shield MRF number. Once the shop opened, I called. The shop appeared thrilled I had Car Shield insurance. They assured me that they would take care of me, contact Car Shield and that there was nothing I needed to do. I picked up my car that afternoon fully repaired and Car Shield paid the majority of the repair.
