I had to cancel a cruise from a better cruise line that have the biggest ships in the Business. They were kind enough to refund me my $1,900 because of work scheduling issues.
I booked a cruise with Carnival and I had to cancel a cruise because of work again, Carnival refused to refund my $300 deposit.
Make your own judgment. All I know is they have lost my business forever.

Garbage cruise
September 12, 2023

First time cruisers. Total waste of our money. Do an all inclusive instead that way it's actually all inclusive. We bought the cheers package (barely under $1k) and it limits you to 15 drinks per person which you are forced to buy two if you have two ppl in your room. We are not big drinkers and ran out of included drinks by 7pm meaning we couldn't even order more drinks! The food was meh at best the itinerary sucked because you never knew what actually was going on and everything was an up charge. There was barely any pools. Don't do bingo total scam only one winner per round and 3 rounds. There were at least 200 ppl playing at $50/ round and the max prize was $1k which only if they guessed the right envelope and they split it! So cheap! We had no clue if the dress code and half the events we actually cared about overlapped so we couldn't do them. I will NEVER do a cruise again. Total $#*!- at least through carnival. Bartenders were so slow and rude. Literally only positive was other upset guests we could vent to. Would have received a 1/5 of what we paid to leave before day 3 of the 7.

So last night I entered a raffle to win a Rolex watch out here on the carnival cruise celebration ship. We left port on the 9th. So I won the raffle and the associate comes over to put the Rolex on my wrist to adjust links to fit my wrist and I had asked so am I getting a box with this and the associate said yes so me and my fiance are standing there in disbelief for 20-25 minutes for the associate to come back over and say how are we going to be paying for this today. I told them I won it and he replies with a laugh saying you didn't win a Rolex and hands me some trash DIY bracelet. These folks owe me a Rolex. I have the flyer I got with the raffle ticket clearly saying enter a chance to win

Never Again
September 10, 2023

DO NOT cruise with Carnival. I just want everyone to know that this whole experience has been less than good. I've been on the ship 2 days and haven't had a good meal yet. The first day they closed the buffet and we could not get anything to eat for 3 hours unless we wanted pizza or a burger. For me I didn't pay all this money to eat burgers and pizza! I understand that the meaning of owning a business is to make money but come on they have crossed the line and are now just being greedy. They charge extra for everything but the room and substandard food. You pay for drinks and literally everything else that you want to make the cruise bearable. The ffirst night dinner was NOT even Applebees quality.We sent all the food back. The shrimp was old and rubbery the steak was so chewy. And they even use the lowest budget soda. I was very upset the first day we spent 100 on alcohol because they didn't deliver the bottle of vodka we ordered online to the room until the next day. They proceeded to tell me it was some law they can't deliver until 6 pm the next day which they delivered it at noon so I'm not sure what law they are referring too! Also no towel person on duty at the towel hut to get towels for the pool. Also they have only 2 pools to accommodate 4300 guests so you can imagine how packed it is. Waited over 20 minutes at the bar because they don't have enough bartenders. Overall I would recommend that you seriously look for another way to vacation because once your on the ship your are stuck! They got you over the barrel and are not afraid to bend you over. And last but not least they provide the cheapest toilet paper. I did the math they make over 2 million dollars every time the ships sails and that just based on the fees they charge everyone. Room, internet, drinks.Crazy

Carnival Spirit to Alaska (Aug 2023). Full capacity with Covid. Everyone we knew walked off ship stricken with Covid; yet, no disclosure nor acknowledgment by ship that there was an outbreak. Meanwhile, meal service was awful (wrong orders, food preparation bad, waiter preoccupied flirting with staff), only 2 of 7 nights with stage show (kept rotating comedy club comedians), and did I note that COVID was running wild.

In short... Absolutely pathetic.

1. Chaos in the dining room (Lido) when all passengers are aboard (ie. Sailing days);
2. No trays for one to take a variety of food items, or just one or two items for more than one person, meaning you have to rejoin a long queue in order to get additional items. Absolutely ridiculous!;
3. Sugar dispensers that release about five sugar crystals at a time. Have management ever used it themselves to know any better?
4. Staff in the Lido (behind the counters) seem to be very disinterested & withdrawn;
5. Only access to tea & coffee on the entire ship, is in the Lido, & NOTHING to have with your hot beverage (cookies, etc.) after closure of the dining hall (9.30pm), except one type of cookie, at one venue (which closed at 11pm), and where you had to queue for 30-40 minutes, to get said cookie!
6. Stateroom attendant was very friendly, but simply chose not to make up the room in the evenings;
7. Room was not sufficiently soundproof, to the extent that one could hear entire conversations (with clarity) happening in the corridor;
8. Music playing in the corridor everyday from early in the morning to late afternoon or evening, which did not allow one to sleep-in comfortably;
9. Inappropriate (wild) music played at loud volume in the Lido (dining area), resulting in being unable to hear each other in conversation. Passengers included families with young kids, as well as older folk. It's mentally tormenting. I've no doubt that it is also affecting the workers.
10. Entertainment onboard was of a poor quality, and the sound quality was also bad (which may have contributed to the above);
11. On sailing/bad weather days, watching some TV should be an option, but the ONLY movie channel was TCM, playing B&W movies from 70-80 years ago!;

I could go on, but it is too tiresome.
Suffice to say that I would advise everyone to stay far away from this cruise line!

For the record, I have done many cruises, all around the world, with different ships & cruise companies.
This was my first (& last) time with Carnival.

My Cruise Disaster
August 22, 2023

I went in my First Cruise on the Carnival Sunrise on August 17 to the 21 st. I was truly disappointed. It was supposed to be just friendly. The children were loud and disrespectful. They were up all times of the night. I could not get in the pool because it was always over ran by children. Everytime you attempted to do something interesting children were in the way. Everything was a little pricey. There was no one to direct me and my friends as we got lost. A few of the workers had really terrible attitudes and were extremely rude. Some of the food selections closed a bit early. The check in process to get onto the boat was unexpected and horrible. I wish it could have had a better experience

Hated the all black cruise. Carnival did not tell me when I booked that it was an all black cruise. I am white and felt white racism. They are loud, unruly. Half naked black butts shaking all over deck. No where to find a peaceful rest. Guest services told me to go to library. I do not advise going. This is the worst group of people to put on a cruise. They fight constantly, extremely loud and arrogant.

We purchased the excursion to Costa Maya beach party and all we got was a stench of rotten seaweed. We could hardly breathe from the stench. We had to hurry and go back. The beaches were covered in nasty seaweed. Carnival knew that and still sold the excursion.

Hello My name is Jill Taha. Booking# S2J3N2. I have been on 5-6 Carnival cruises and enjoyed every experience until July 28,2023. I was scheduled to leave 7/28/23 for my birthday cruse (my birthday was 7/30) and carnival cancelled my cruise in error after driving 9 long hours. My boyfriend goes to dialysis. I sent in the waiver and medical letter from the Nephrologist saying he completed his 3 days of treatment and is able to go on the cruise. Carnival sent a email at 10am the day we sail saying they received and accepted the letter and enjoy the cruise. We get to Port Canaveral, paid to park and got a call from Carnival saying my boyfriend can not sail because the doctor said he would me 2 days of treatment which is absolutely INCORRECT. The letter said he went 7/24,7/26 and 7/27 and would resume treatment on 8/1.he completed his treatment for the week and was scheduled to go when we returned so how was he missing 2 days. I paid $190 for travel protection. Carnival wants me to go the the protection plan when I shouldn't have to. I didn't cancel, carnival cancelled in error. The doctor was incorrect.I didn't get my birthday trip, gas and mileagez I want 100% refund

As many have said, this is the "walmart" of cruises. Very, very outdated! The room was always so hot and when I asked for a fan, I was told I could only get one if I had a medical condition. The drink stations were always broken...good luck getting a full cup of ice and water! The buffet was basic at best. Always the same and very few options. In order to get to Half Moon Cay, you have to stand in a line for over an hour to get a "shuttle pass". Then, you have to wait for your group to be called. My group was called at 11 and we had to get in line to return by 2. The food on the island was inedible. The teeny, tiny pool was always too packed to enter. The shows were so boring I never made it through a full one.

There were leaks in various places on the ship. The food on the Lido deck sucked! I usually have early dining, this time around they gave me anytime dining. The staff at anytime dining did not know what they were doing at all. I was sent from one floor to the net numerous times! There were children playing tag in the casino area and I also seen someone sitting in the casino with a child. The WIFI I purchased kept going out. I had to connect to the WIFI each day more than once because it would disconnect. Why purchase WIFI if you have to go through changes. They had no Hieneken on this ship, but other Carnival ships do. I feel they should give this ship back to the original owners. There isn't anything for the children to do

My wife and I had to cancel our upcoming cruise, booking #S4H8W6 due to a family illness. My wife's father has fallen gravely ill and she had to make emergency plans to get to his side. Her father lives in Athens Greece and we live in Florida, the USA. We did confirm that our penalty is $1278.00, with a credit back to us of $316.40. This would have been our 20th cruise on Carnival and we have a booking for New Years Eve, which we hope to take. We are Platinum members. Our request is for consideration for some sort of credit towards a future cruise, perhaps the New Years Eve booking on the Carnival Spirit 6-Night Western Caribbean, booking #S6L3P1. We can provide you with any documentation of my wife's trip, for example her flight bookings. She left on a United Flight #4255 on Tuesday July 11th, with a transfer to flight #8867 to Frankfurt Germany and flight #9303 to Athens Greece. Her return is tentative for August 9th. As loyal Carnival cruisers and having never experienced a need for a sudden cancellation, we'd appreciate any additional consideration for future bookings. Thank you and we'll be glad to provide anything additional that you might require.

We went on a carnival cruise in 2017 & enjoyed it. We booked again but then Covid happened & carnival gave us a refund no questions asked. We booked a 3rd time but had some guest complications where one guest couldn't go and then a second ended up backing out, so we attempted-after fully paying for 4 people- to change the guest a final time and they charges us not only the $59 fee for changing but another $1300 and their only response why this fee was so high was because its what we are charging now-but i'm looking at the website and it says $350/person?!? We cancelled and got most of our money back. Its cheaper to just go book elsewhere than to pay that crazy amount. Their customer service reps were nice and polite and they gave me a refund no questions but thats not how you take care of returning customers.
