We have booked a car in Lisbon via Carjet, the amount website provided for 14 days was about 300€, we have chosen that platinum insurance to be sure there will be no extra costs, so there was no mentions about any security deposits through the whole process of booking, we have successfully booked the car and Carjet charged me about 110€, the rest should have been paid in car rental office. After booking procedure was done I have received an email saying that at car rental office I will ask to leave a security deposit of 3,300!€ from my credit card. I have tried to reach carjet via email, but they've never answered.
When we came to car rental office I was told that I need to block 3,300€ on my credit card which I did not have (I don't have a European credit card at all actually only deposit cards which did not work at all even if I had needed amount), in case I want to get the car without a deposit the cost of the rent for the same days shall be around 1200€, in case I will cancel my booking that 110€ that carjet charged will be gone for good. Thanks to car rental employee who understood my situation and was able to do his best to help us out, we have changed duration of the rent but still we had to pay over 700€ in cash instead of 300€ we have planned.

They are completely robbing people, we reserved a car at 8 am in warsaw airport we didn't get any car at all and they didn't answer well the third party which was wheego car rental company also didn't give the car for 2 hours we were standing in front of hotels and each time they were saying wait 15 min we'll come. And then after we lost our plans we didn't get refund from them and got robbed so be very careful dudes.
Horrible service.
They take your money (the full amount for the car rental + you can pay WITHOUT creditcard) with the online reservation and when you come at the desk from the airport they refuse to give you the car in case you have no credit card.
I can follow this mindset, but in this case it would be appropriate to refund the money you paid upfront. Not everybody has a credit card.

Customer 'service' zero. No possibility for decent contact via email or telephone. They only way is their way and they absolutely do not treat clients as they should!
DO NOT BOOK A CAR WITH CARJET
This the most horrid experience ever. I made a reservation with sketchy website. Paid 60 USD dollars not knowing this website was from another country and live in the USA. Made the reservation guess what my confirmation email never arrived. I email them and late response no help at all. I asked for a refund ignored. I want to cancel my reservation. I'll make a dispute with my bank tomorrow. And my review will stay. Don't do Bussiness with this sketchy company. Carjet refund my money. This review will not go. It will stay.

The car I rented was a Ford focus I drive one my self so the space for a baby wagon and bags were perfect
Instead of that we got a Renault capture
Conclusion it's not the same
Baby wagon at the front with 1 bag 1 bag at the back and still the baby back needed to force it on to the back

Had a rental car all booked at MCO airport (Orlando, FL) on 3/13/23. The advertised price was stellar. I paid the initial down payment of $38.12 (I'm so glad it wasn't more). Per the rental agreement contract I was to contact the car provider with whom CarJet partners with, for a shuttle pickup to take us to their offsite lot for the car. I made over 50 phone calls to the rental car provider (Street Rent A Car). No answer. Their v/m was 'full', so I could not leave a message. The phone auto-attendant option to leave my phone number for a return text went nowhere. I researched and found 3 other phone numbers associated with Street Rent A Car, all with the same auto-attendant. CarJet's only direct contact phone number was an overseas number, no response. Finally, after 2 hours of constant 'no-contact', I was forced to secure a car from a reputable agency, but at almost 3 times the price I had contracted with CarJet. To date, no one from CarJet has responded to my calls, my online requests, or emails demanding a refund of my down payment. A complete F-you blow-off. Again, I'm thankful my loss was only $38. I did get in touch with my c/c company, filed a claim for a merchant mis-charge, and they refunded my down payment. SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION AND STRESS. Clearly CarJet has $#*!ty customer service, and from the reviews I've read online from other customers, CarJet uses shady car providers and has zero integrity. ZERO RATING STARS FROM ME. Rent at your own peril!
Buyers beware! FALSE ADVERTISING! Got a voucher for EXACTLY THE CAR I PICKED UP in Madeira and was told by Sixt that it wasn't covered by their voucher. Been arguing for over 6 mths now - neither Sixt nor CarJet acknowledging their mistake... For something a 5 year old would understand.
Even better, customer service said that "at the end of the day you were given the car..." (see photo). Yes, I did... AFTER PAYING ADDITIONAL MONEY because their voucher DIDN'T COVER THE CAR THAT WAS LITERALLY WRITTEN ON THE VOUCHER! It's almost comical... And I do have to give it to this Andreaa lady, Holding the company line while keeping brain activity at a minimum. What an asset to CarJet!
Total mess! I would never recommend this company. They are not organised. They cancelled 2 cars before i even got a car. When i went to pick up car, it was cancelled. They are refusing to give a refund. And we ended up getting a car for 230 euro above the original price. A week later, and no sign of a refund. They are a joke. I would recommend any other company than carjet! BOOK DIRECTLY WITH SIXT!

All they care about is money, I booked a car through this website after I landed I went to the car rental office and It was a small company, they only accepted credit card but they did not have the machine so I use my credit cards! They were only able to do online payment through their computer, and since the company was too small my credit card company did not recognize them and was not going through, so I could not pick up the car and the car rental office told me you can cancel it now and ask for refund from carjet, i did cancel then I emailed carjet 3 times, they said no refund because it is too late! At least they could have refunded a portion of the money because it was not my fault that I was not able to pick up the car. I wish i could gve them zero
Avoid at all costs - go direct. It is cheaper in the long run. Absolutely awful from start to finish. Took my money and offered no assistance whatsoever - like a cheap pimp. Upon booking and them taking my money I emailed them and asked them to ensure that my car had studded tyres (Norway - winter). I eventually got an email saying 'ask on arrival at the car hire desk'. Not helpful as they would OBVIOUSLY not change the wheels / tyres while I waited. So I asked again to be told 'email the company direct'. WOW! What a lot they are offering for their 'agency' fee! The price quoted by them also used a very favourable / fictional exchange rate at the time resulting in what I EXPECTED to pay was a lot less than was actually claimed from my card. Annoying. When I got on holiday I was then treated appallingly by the hire car company and when I returned I complained to CarJet.com (Once I could find the details to contact them - why would a company be so coy about being contacted - I know now!) They basically told me that they couldn't help me and didn't respond to further e-mails from me. Their 'UK' office (A deciding factor in me choosing them as I figured that it would be easier to sort out queries) is also in Spain it seems - I wonder why that might be?!?! I will leave you to decide that. Basically a crap show from start to finish - and an expensive one at that. Just do yourselves a favour and avoid them at all costs. Appalling customer service. I would give 0 stars, but unfortunately you can't.
The car rental agency warned me they are a rip off, so I cancelled the carjet insurance. I got a response that I had successfully cancelled the insurance, then 2 days later I see they had taken the money from my credit card…and I can't find a place to complain on their website.

I have booking with Carjet for rental car at interlaken city, Switzerland on 1st March 2023, however they no person in charge for me to pick my rental car at 3 pm.
I have called them but they said only can come at 6 pm. i have decided to cancel my rental car and they said i can cancel my car rental.
The rental costs 188.03 € as the receipt attached. I would like to do refund because i cant take my rental car. Thanks

11.02.23 I have booked car by CarJet in Antalya Airport. No one Visa Card was not working there. So, No Car and No Money back! Very bad Service
Cars were ok but make sure there is not a single tiny mark of the car when you return it as they claim against your insurance and you have to pay the excess.
They are absolutely ruthless in checking the returned vehicle for ANY mark, stone chip or any slight mark requires a pro retouch. Thats £300 sir thank you! Beware to take out all the insurance you can get, the hire may be cheap but with the insurance charge you might as well use Avis or anybody else

If there would have been an option to leave -5 stars, I would. They revert me to SMART cars rent, do not use that one as well by the way. They freeze my credit card £1680 amount, can you imagine. They gave me old damaged car and charged as they were looking for the scratches with the magnifying glass. Charged admin fee of £100 despite it should have been £75, I am claiming from my Insurance and blocked my credit card. One word SCAMERS!
I'd give a No Star Rating for Carjet if I was allowed to do so...
On the surface, this company offers cheap car hire... which is great. However, beware of the hidden terms, concealed deposits and poor customer service.
I have used them twice and they have caused me problems on both of these bookings. The first time was a genuine system error, which was forgivable because I received a full refund. The second booking was a fiasco - I got what I considered to be a great deal, £141 for 8 days car hire - plus an extra £63 for Excess Insurance - however, when I arrived to collect the car at the allotted time, I was kept waiting for over 50 minutes, and then advised that I had to pay a £1,250 credit card deposit. If I had known about the deposit at the time of booking, I would have cancelled it. However, Carjet in their infinite wisdom... choose not to disclose the deposit in clear view when you make a booking. (Probably because their booking cancellations would go through the roof!) You have to search through the hidden T&C's before you find any reference of a deposit. This caused me significant problems on the day and I ended up having to pay the car hire company at the full day rate just to secure the vehicle for an important meeting that I needed to attend.
My advice to any potential customer would be to avoid this company at all costs... because they have refused to refund any money or offer a fair compromise, then hid behind their dodgy Terms & Conditions as a pathetic excuse. Do your self a big favour, book direct with the hire companies, you may have to pay more, but you will get peace of mind and be treated fairly...
I book a car for 2 weeks and I pay 260.00 for insurance. At pike up time was so many more charges. I told him I need my money back and I'll go someplace else. So renter car say deal with carjet. Car jet have no customers service or phone number. Good by to my 260,00 of insurance plus my car deposit. Don't do it.
