The company enjoys a generally positive reputation, highlighted by swift delivery, high-quality products, and effective customer service. Customers frequently commend the reliability of the ordering process and the helpfulness of support staff, often noting their satisfaction with the product fit and included accessories. However, concerns arise regarding service delays, particularly with RV cover orders, and some customers report issues with product features, such as inadequate strap designs. Overall, while the company demonstrates strong strengths in customer engagement and product quality, addressing service consistency and product design flaws could enhance customer satisfaction further.

Beware: it is not a "lifetime" warranty despite the company's many statements it is and them having a very good warranty. I paid for their GOLD product (highest quality and "lifetime" warranty) to have the best warranty, and the company voided it after 4 years. In my very mild climate and me always being gentle with it, each cover this company sent did not last more than 1.5 years. I had to pay $30 for each replacement, then they told me the "lifetime" warranty is only good for 3 replacements. Upon making a warranty claim (rip, material degradation, etc.), all the company does is send you a new one for $30, which seems not too crazy, until you realize that (1) you paid for a "lifetime" warranty, not to be charged $30 every time the cover fails, and (2) that it's not "lifetime" at all if it's capped at 3 replacements (which will cost you $30 each time). It's a shady warranty practice from a company that just wants to take your money for a substandard product. (Extra star because they do respond to emails, but the cover is crap and the company will hide behind "well, that's all the fine print allows for. Please go to a legit car cover company and don't waste your money here.)
Received one cover under warranty they say we received three. Liars to avoid meeting their advertising.
I purchased a car cover through carcover.com roughly a year and a half ago. I opted to go with this company as it had decent reviews, a good price, and a "lifetime warranty." That all seemed great at the time of purchase, but has since turned into a nightmare. From the original ship date, they sent me the wrong car cover and made me send multiple emails, pictures and proof that it didn't fit…under their "perfect fit guarantee" thankfully they finally sent the right one… the next one fit properly, but less than a year after having it, the cover is torn, faded, disintegrated and rendered useless from elements. Less than 1 year! I went again to their warranty department where I had to send pictures and prove it was defective. All to find out they don't cover the $30 shipping for warranty items. Their product failed, has a "lifetime warranty" but I have to continue to pay every time it fails. Also, read the terms and conditions page where the "lifetime warranty" ONLY COVERS 3 REPLACEMENTS PER CAR COVER.
The customer service experience on the phone was such a hassle and lacked empathy and a true customer service mentality. They kept repeating the policy and Issac, the supervisor raised his voice at me. Mike, the next manager was able to not yell at me, but did no more than the entry level call rep in explaining the policy. I spent 45 minutes on the phone and got no where.
IF YOURE LOOKING TO ORDER A CAR COVER, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE!
I bought the Platinum Shield, spend over $200 because I wanted a very good high quality cover.
This piece of junk isn't even waterproof!
Maybe I got a dud because the other reviews say it's a great cover.
But I have video proof. The car was bone dry when cover was put on.
The rain goes right through it.
Buyer beware.
This "100% waterproof" top of the line car cover from them leaked within one day of rain, one!
I've contacted costumer service (which is a joke)
Only to find out i need to send an email with pictures… so i did…
Within one day I received an email back saying that even though it waterproof, well, its not completely waterproof…. Wait what?!
So your website says 100% waterproof and now you telling me its not?'
Wtf?
No way jose that you pulling this trick on me, read all the one star reviews here to see how those people are just scammers!
But they just messed up with the wrong guy, i will go all the way till my money is back in the fullest.
And I will sue them if they dont give me till my last dime back, i am an attorney and i have all the resources to go all the way i dont care what this cost.
I bought the CarCover Gold Shield 5L to protect my Tesla Model 3 from the sun and any inclement weather while I was away for 6 weeks this summer. The Gold Shield 5L is CarCover's top of the line cover and is meant to withstand UV and rain, according to their description.
When I returned home, the entire top surface of the cover was flaking off, and when I removed the cover from the car, there was a layer of fine dust covering the entire surface of the vehicle. The car was freshly cleaned when stored (as one must ALWAYS do prior to putting on a cover) knowing that any dust between the cover and the car can act as a fine sand-paper and ruin the pain finish. The whole purpose of the cover was to protect the car, and instead it created a scenario that was worse than not covering the car at all.
When I contacted CarCover, they offered a warranty replacement at the cost of $30 shipping, no refund available. When I indicated that it was clearly a faulty cover, they indicated that the cover will "break down when exposed to the elements" and "hopefully the next one will last longer". The customer rep on the phone ("Mike") was quite rude. C'mon man.
Anyhow, don't bother with CarCover - spend a few more dollars and get something that will actually withstand a few weeks in the sun.
Total scam - but a great business mode if you are happy being dishonest. They brag about the quality of the 5L cover. I paid $160 each for 2 covers. Both covers fail by decomposing in 11 months in my sunny location. The say it has a lifetime warranty. But they do not say on the front page (it is buried in the Terms) that they will send a replacement cover, but they can charge any shipping they want. To replace my covers are $30 each, more than shipping costs. They make money every time they ship a cover, and this is once per year!
Had the cover for 3 years but started to deteriorate a year ago when i order talked to Isaac on the phone and he told me the lifetime warranty was for how long i have my car or others things not to my control so he sold me now the phone number is blocked *******041 had to email my number to them to call me didn't call me until i talk to the NY ATTORNEY GENEREL THEN THEY REACH OUT TO ME to see what the problem was told me to send pics and telling me that LIFETIME doesn't mean LIFETIME sent pic everything they needed respond to me right back saying it was replaceable but there was going to be a shipping charge of $52.39.BEWARE STAY AWAY and this is CARCOVER.com
The car bag is cheap quality for so much money I paid and the strings ripped. They will cover the car bag but not shipping and they're going to charge me $30 for the car cover bag. Also the customer service sucks and takes forever to answer back.
After only 2 days of using my NEW gold cover that is presumed 100 % waterproof a normal rain came. The next day the water went true and the cover was soak and the car wet. Made a claim for warranty replacement and read the email I received.
" While the cover is 100% waterproof to a certain extent, it is important to note that it can only withstand a certain amount of water. This means that the cover is considered water-resistant rather than fully waterproof." Totally the contrary as advertised!
Then: " Our main focus is on providing excellent breathability and UV protection, which is why we have designed our covers to be water-resistant rather than fully waterproof."
So they don't want to have it waterproof but the web site say: " The cover will not let a drop of water go through, as it is 100% waterproof and water-resistant. In order for your car to breathe, the cover is equipped with an additional layer of micro-porous film so that there can be no condensation or water build up"
So what is the thrue about this product? It is not Waterproof and they don't stand behind their own warranty policy.
Do not waste your time and money on this company's products. Overpriced garbage. Customer service will give you the run-around. Still waiting for a partial refund after weeks.
Bought a cover for my truck, this cover was supposed to be for outside and fit this truck, I still don't know what they sent me, but it wasn't for my truck, it appeared to me to be a cheap universal cover and didn't keep a lick of water out, my inside my bed had puddles of water laying in it. I contacted there customer service about this problem (what a joke)and sent pictures and explained all these issues. They did nothing but blow smoke, There website states that they will cover return shipping if they make a mistake, that's a lie. I paid to send it back,I just want everyone to know this before they decide to deal with these crooks!
They shipped it in a box that was too small and it was hanging out of the corners of the box dragging on whatever it came across. When I didn't need it, they offered me a discount- I rejected and then they offered me even more of a discount to keep it. To return it YOU have to pay for the shipping (not to mention an appropriate sized box to ship it in).
Out of the 42,000 plus reviews, I'm the one to get a bad wrap. I ordered a Mazda cover from them promoting their Memorial Day sale of 61% off. Sounds great right? The cover was about the same price as Moss Miata however Moss charged shipping. I chose not to select free shipping w/ carcovers.com but selected express instead for $30 bucks. I needed the cover quick. I could have ordered one through Moss for $70 bucks more and got the cover overnighted. This was important to me because I just purchased a brand new Miata. It's now sitting in my driveway under trees that I have to babysit for bird droppings and tree sap until this cover arrives. Had I ordered the cover from Moss, it would have arrived yesterday. Carcovers.com's express was 1-2 days. It should be here today but I get a notice from UPS telling me that it won't be here until Friday June 2nd, a WEEK after ordering! So disappointing. UPS is the worst to do business with. I'm not even sure I'll get the cover since they love to deliver to the wrong addresses, consistently. Thanks carcovers.com. Fool me once, shame on you. Grrrr. You stole my joy after buying this brand new car. I trusted you. Update: They did return the $30 express shipping charge to my order. The cover finally arrived and I returned it immediately for refund. After reading the negative reviews on the damage this cover does to the paint of a car, I wasn't taking the chance. I did some research and it's important on car covers to get "paint friendly" ones. This one wouldn't have been. And by the way, this is a Chinese company located here in the USA. I won't order from them again. There are many other companies out there that are Made in the USA. The best deal isn't always the right decision. Hope this helps some people.
Cover fell apart after 18 months! They said they would replace under warranty but I had to pay $95 shipping. So their "lifetime warranty" is not really a warranty, they will just sell you the item back for a lower price. Customer service was responsive by email but when I complained about the exorbitant "shipping charge" the best they would do was $75.
I'm hopeful this review will be posted. Hence, a majority of the reviews I found prior to placing an order were nearly all 4 or 5 stars. They do not stand by their warranty. I have a cover that is less than 2 years old. I filed a warranty claim and they want to charge me $95.00 to ship a replacement cover. They have informed me they will determine the cost of shipping upon warranty claims. I believe postage within the United States is determined by location, dimensions, and weight. Also, a representative within a "Chat" informed me the free shipping is included in the price of the original product. Therefore, customers are not receiving "free shipping" on their original orders and the products that are being shipped are far less expensive in cost than what the company is charging to ship the product.
I purchased the product to cover my brand new cadillac escalade an it messed up my $7000 paint job on top of the car cover Shredding an ripping, it tore from the bottom to the top an company only wanted to offer me 25% of my money back for buying they product, I wasn't even asking for compensation on my paint job expenses, an this was all in a 2 week period...be careful it's a rip off
I've had this Platinum car cover from car cover dot com for 18 months. I live in So Florida where there's a lot of heat and a lot of rain especially in the summer time. Unfortunately after a little over a year it started leaving a fine white dust on the black roof of my car. It has started to get worse. It is deteriorating already. Not too good considering this is their finest cover. I contacted them and since I received this as a gift, I cannot provide them an order number. Therefore they won't offer me anything. But the simple fact that their premium cover failed in such a short time made me write this review. Don't buy from them.
Ordered a car cover for my son fedex delivered it to a wrong address Car Cover immediately sent us another. Customer service is quick with their responses. My son put the cover on was very happy with the weight a little disappointed that it did not have bump outs for the mirrors. It repelled rain great. Beaded up nicely. Overall very happy.
CarCover.com refused to pay for return shipping label. Charge dispute was open as the product received is faulty, not as described and advertised on the website.
