The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with many praising the quality and aesthetic appeal of its clothing. Positive feedback highlights the stylish designs and satisfactory product quality, suggesting a strong initial impression. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with frequent reports of long response times, unresolved issues, and difficulties with returns and refunds. Advertising Genius
September 11, 2020

This company has produced an outstanding promotional magazine and website. Both illustrate a high quality product that, unfortunately, gives a potential customer a. Misleading impression. Coupled with a very high price, the overall impression is product of high-end, unique manufacturing. Not so. At all. My two items list at $99 each. Many other companies offer the same quality at a third the price. I am very disappointed with C2C, but I grudgingly compliment them for advertising that hooked this naive fish into thinking this company was much more than it's less-than-mediocre self.

I've spent a lot of money with this company on high priced items. They recently gave me a coupon code, but then backtracked and wouldn't let me use it. What a terrible customer experience. I will NEVER spend money with them again.

Return Label Wont Work
August 18, 2020

UPS won't except the inclosed shipping label. Customer Service is non-existing. Makes you wait on hold for 25 minutes only to be routed to the order desk. They say they will take 48 hours to email you a working label

Shirt received has sleeves of different length and the placket was crooked. Contacted them and I had to send them pictures of me wearing it and then another set with a measuring tape showing the sleeve length differences. Finally they agreed to take it back but I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING! So then finally caved and said they were sending me a paid label. Yeah great, except when I go to mail it I had to pay! They then give me the go round about receiving the shirt. Finally they offer me a free shirt.

Oh wait that one is out of stock. Okay... how about this other one. Nope out of stock. Finally after a total of 16 emails from start to finish they just give me a gift card. Funny thing is, the gift card amount, however they came up with it, is like 13 bucks less than the shirt. It's like they charged me for the shipping label that wasn't actually prepaid.

So I find something I don't reallt want just to drain the gift card and be done with them. Shirt arrives and the material so thin it looks stupid when you wear it. Maybe if they spent a little more to have their stuff made in a western country with some standards and spent less of photography for their fancy website the clothes might be somewhat worth their ungodly over priced rates.

Avoid avoid avoid.

Poor Customer Service
August 4, 2020

I have to return my purchase twice. Not for poor quality. Once because my son did not like the style and the second because I ordered the wrong size. Both times I had to follow up with C2C to find out what happened to my return. The first time it took the several days to find my return even though I had proof of delivery. The second time they did issue credit but I had requested the correct size. The correct size was out of stock so they issued credit but did not inform me of that until after is contacted them. Finally to top it off, They charge for the return if you use their prepaid return form. I chose to send it on my own dime but the took the return fee anyway. Nickle and dime you even thought they probably charge too much for their products in the first place.

Customer service is so slow, it is shameful, most of the products are very expensive, one may think there is a solid customer service behind the product, but no, garbage. Never again, I have asked not to get promotional emails from them as well. RE: Carbon2Cobalt Order Confirmation - SO*******

My last review...

Updated review

Final thoughts: be aware & informed. Some products have issues. But you can return anything at any time. And I would suggest talking to a manager if you want free shipping. Every single manager I have spoken with has been very reasonable and accommodating. I did have an issue with one of their newer employees during the holiday season but I asked to speak with a manager and everything went beyond my expectations. Bottom line is that some of the clothing is fantastic! To me, it's worth it to take have the possibility of a phone call and a return. Some people may not have the time for that and if they don't I would not advise shopping here. Otherwise, like I said, they are very accommodating and there are no time limits on the returns from what I can understand.

Have had great experience with this company
October 30, 2019
Previous review

This is an update to my initial review - since I ordered, I have had excellent response and experience with this company. Great clothes - really soft which is what we need in our sensory-sensitive home. Awhile after my first order I received a coupon in my email for 20% off and there was a nice write up about how they care about their customers, with their phone number. I have spoken to two different employees and both were incredibly respectful and caring, and competent! They were responsive. I want to add, It is important to follow their laundering directions - I can see this. So far everything is wearing nicely. No shrinkage, no piling. I do wash cold, and lay flat or hang dry till mostly dry, then throw in drier on low setting for 10+ min. I will update again on the wear as we've only done a little laundering. I did need to return a couple items and am waiting on this response now and will update. I have to say, I was scared and apprehensive to order from this company from all the negative reviews, however I have not found anything negative about this company at this point and I'm so glad I went ahead and gave them a try. The detail on their clothes, the softness they create in some of the clothes with various pre-wash techniques - somewhat unique and well received from our family.

My husband is a Levi Jeans and Tee shirt guy, has been since his surfer upbringing decades ago. To find a catolog with style he likes is rare, very rare. We bought an order of shirts at the holidays, just now sent in a second order of shirt and shorts. Style, muted colors, varied fabrics and detailing are very noticable and appreciated. We like the look, not cookie cutter, not stiff, clothes look like enjoyed favorites. The clothes we purchased were true to size, color and materials, well made. Yes, some styles have a flawed look, but that is what they are intended to look... classic favorites. I don't see the problems that many of these reviews have mentioned, and hope to continue having the option to buy in the future... but they aren't always a bargain prices and shipping seems high. Still, it is so nice to see my husbands tall frame in these clothes. And they wash well with care too.

I have placed three orders so far, all within the last 6 months -- all shirts -- and I am absolutely thrillled with the quality of the shirts and how good they look. SO far, every time I think I'm going to like something based on the picture, I *do* like it when I see it. Right now I'm wearing one of their shirts I received two days ago. I feel like these are heirloom quality things. Very glad I discovered them. I think I was throwing away all the catalogs they sent me by snailmail for about 3 years before I finally looked at one and said "Huh. Not bad."

Have made several purchases from this company. I'd say more than 1/2 the time I've been disappointed in the actual color of the item I received versus the special filtering in their glossy catalog. See the accompanying photo for an example. Glossy tobacco color of jacket in the catalog versus actual honey color of the jacket in the background. Due to the high cost of this item, this was one that went back. Not certain who this jacket was cut for, either. Must be a pear-shaped individual, because the waist seemed quite a few inches larger than the shoulders.
Customer service was a pleasure to deal with, and the return was done quite easily with no muss and no fuss.

Our credit card backed by GM automatically refunds any questionably charges then they go after the merchant. Once this happens and you get your money back who gives a s h t if they want to drag it out... it works

Why do we care if they have terrible return practices. We got our money back... their product line is terrible... dont fall for the professional photography in their catalogs... that's stategic and misleading... I put their catalog in my bird cage

First and last time I order from them. Their sweatpants only come with a 30" inseam and they charge shipping for returns. They are really sneaky about the refund as well. They provide a fedex label but if u read the fine print they deduct the cost of the fedex from your refund.

Now I know why their website doesn't offer reviews from customers... Because they would be TERRIBLE! Finally ordered two sweaters and a shirt after receiving their sexy catalog for a few years. The Waterman sweater looks nothing like the color in the catalog, more of a dull gray than the rich blue shown. And it's incredibly heavy given that it's 100% cotton. Not to mention the fit is bizarre. The Deep Dive shirt is so poorly made I'm not sure it'll last through one wash. It's all being returned - I'll be more than happy to pay the $7.95 return shipping charge.
I love how they say "imported" on all their products - this junk is made in CHINA, not Italy!
Shipping is ridiculous. Fortunately I had the wherewithal to call and get it waved on my $287 order.
Do NOT waste your time with this shoddy company. For these prices, you can get Peter Millar or similar at Nordstrom.

If it fits it's great
February 24, 2020

I've ordered several items from Carbon2Cobalt and was was pleased. I ordered a fleece jacket after Christmas and it was way to large. A cold weather jacket that needed to be snug around the waist. The purchase was free shipping but the return cost me $11.00. I guess I'm spoiled by LL Bean. That's like walking into a store, trying on an item and if the fit isn't right, it cost you $11.00. Not good.

My husband fell in love with Carbon 2 Cobalt styles and has been ordering almost exclusively from them for several years. He started with shirts, then over time, progressed to jackets, jeans, sweaters, and shoes. I just surprised him with a 2 page order of 7 shirts, all uniquely different fabrics; the Mauve Mellow Henley; the Woodlands Pullover in forest green; and the Refresh Sweater in glacier; plus a couple of lounger pants. All items were gorgeous and well made as has been the norm with his previous purchases. So, my birthday man is looking pretty snazzy! Items matched the catalog in appearance and description. And not one return out of my large order! We appreciate the variation in fabrics and designs. The only thing he doesn't purchase are the T's because the style is snug with shorter sleeves, and he prefers a longer sleeve almost to the elbow (Territory Ahead T's). But that is just a style preference as a heads up. It is hard to find stylish men's clothing at a reasonable price. And Carbon 2 Cobalt's prices are not out of line. The prices are right in there with Men's Wearhouse prices, less than Brook's Brothers, and far less than some of the high end men's clothiers or pricey department stores. Unlike many of those stores, the thing we love about Carbon 2 Cobalt is their focus on styles that have a bit of character along with nice variations in textures with fabrics. They don't focus on cookie cutter styles found in larger volume stores. Consequently, my husband and I are disappointed to see the number of one sided, negative reviews on this website. There really should be a sense of balance in reviews to get a good picture of this company. And sadly, this site seems to have gathered reviews from only those who have been disappointed in their purchases. We have watched this company grow over time since their departure from Territory Ahead. They must be doing something right given their expanding growth. In the reality of online purchases, not every online purchase is perfect. In all fairness to this company, I hope that others like us, who have had good experiences with Carbon 2 Cobalt, will take the time to share their more positive views. In the end, I am so glad to see my husband care about his appearance and be inspired by this company to take the time and effort to shop for himself. He has had nothing but good experiences with Carbon 2 Cobalt from his many purchases to excellent customer service. As a gal who loves a quality casual look, I am glad to see that they have begun to expand their line for women. My husband and I are both fans of Carbon 2 Cobalt styles, and we wish the company well in their future growth.

Briefcase broke within 3 months. The shirt I returned at Christmas was processed after they had finished inventory 3 weeks later, they didn't exchange my shirt they didn't have it anymore and didn't bother to communicate that to me. 45 minute wait to talk to someone in February. They won't stay in business long if this is how they treat their customers. Worst shopping experience ever!

Deceptive Catalog Images
February 1, 2020

Needless to say, returned all 4 cheaply-made shirts that looked wayy less glamorous than the color-saturated photos represented. I was so disillusioned, that my first purchase became my absolute last. And the exciting "free shipping-on us!" email headers are an insult once you open the email (free shipping with $100 purchase).
