The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with many praising the quality and aesthetic appeal of its clothing. Positive feedback highlights the stylish designs and satisfactory product quality, suggesting a strong initial impression. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with frequent reports of long response times, unresolved issues, and difficulties with returns and refunds. Customers express frustration over order delays, misleading product descriptions, and perceived overpricing. Overall, while the brand's products may attract interest, the inconsistent customer service experience detracts from overall satisfaction and loyalty.

As so many other reviewers have said, there is a huge disconnect between the appealing catalog photography and what actually arrives at your door. It would be hard to describe just how cheaply made these clothes are - sloppy stitching, ill-fitting sleeves, shabby material. They look like they are actually factory remnants or "B" stock quality. Even at 1/3 the price they would be overpriced. I am not always happy with my online purchases, but I only feel compelled to write a review like this maybe - oh let's see - I never have before. What bothers me the most is that this entire business model seems to have been built with cynical intentions from the very beginning: spend a lot on hype, deliver ultra-low quality merch with a massive profit margin, and even if we have a 25%+ return rate we're still getting rich. Also, the website will charge you an inflated shipping fee - unless you call them before placing your order to complain, and then they will waive the shipping charges completely. But you gotta ask them - they are not proactively offering free shipping.
You better make sure you like the product that you're ordering, or else you will see your refund A lot later than when they took the money out of your bank. And that's if you ever see a refund. Me, I'm still waiting for a refund that I sent the Product back a month ago. I was dumb enough to buy another product the same thing but in a bigger size had to take it back because I didn't like the fit and now I'm still waiting for that refund as well. In essence they're holding almost $200 of my money, when it should be in my bank account
For the money, I expected a much higher quality product. Pics in the catalog are very deceptive. You can buy better shirts for $19 at Costco.
Purchased several shirts, one was not color fast, ruined some of my pants and the quality is poor. Everything was overpriced as well. When I called to complain they gave me a we don't care attitude... good companies like LL Bean will always refund or replace. I also asked to be taken off their mailing list but of course I still get the brochure, they just wont listed, don't bother spending any money on these rags they sell
Expensive cool looking clothes that fall apart after a few washings. Nonexistent customer service. If I could give them zero stars I would.
You can't help but love the style of the clothing but I'm not sure the quality is worth the heavy price tag. Worse of all, their customer service is the worst. This order (and last) I got 4 mens shirts half fit nicely and the other two were much too large. He always wears a large. The rep told me she could give me a one time "curtosy" wave on the shipping. Then I called again to see if they were mailing back a smaller size and she said they were out. I checked online and that was not the case. They want to get you off the phone as quick as possible. Back to Banana Republic!
Despite online, not so good reviews, I bought 5 different shirts because the "looked like my type of shirt." Mistake, mistake, mistake! 4 of them ripped at the elbows. Now, it's easy for someone to say "You bought the wrong size, or you're too heavy, or you're too rough on the shirts" but I also own many other similar shirts from different companies - the same size - and all of those are among my favorite shirts. I've been the same size and weight for 20 years, so I know it's not me or anything I'm doing. Don't buy these expensive shirts - they don't last!
I purchased two of the Women's Proviso Tees for $39 each last year. After only 1 washing both t-shirts pilled. I'm not talking about a small area of pilling fibers, I mean the ENTIRE t-shirt pilled and the armpits faded because the fibers disappeared. THIS is QUALITY? Their designs will suck you in, but buyer beware, you are not paying for quality. Pictures tell the story.
When I looked at he catalog I saw stuff I just ' had to had'. Unfortunately, almost without exception, they looked a LOT better in the catalog than in person. Their sizes are also very inconsistent. I had to make several returns/exchanges. If you are buying something cause it looks great in the catalog, I highly suggest you set your expectations very low- it will not look like the item in the catalog. My original spend was $700 and several items, of which only 1 was even close to the catalog pictures. Buy here at your own risk
I have shopped with them before, but have a hard time shopping at any online store that does not offer free returns and exchanges! It is hard to always tell colors online or how an item will look once on and if you can't make exchanges for free, well then, forget me as a customer. Carbon 2 Cobalt charges $7.95 for any exchange or return which is PATHETIC! At most, exchanges should be FREE! I will not shop ANYWHERE that does not offer FREE exchanges! Don't waste your time shopping at Carbon2Cobalt!
Received an 8 M leather loafer which is beautifully made, but it appears to be gently worn, or perhaps tried by several other people. The heels are stretched and slipped so they won't stay on my feet. The box has several fingerprints on it, along with a spill mark on the top. The paper inside is crumpled and old. The item had been listed as back-ordered till Sept on my online order, but arrived 8/28. Disappointed because the shoes are beautiful in the catalog.
I bought several things for my husband last Christmas. The shirts have been great but the $89 jeans have ripped in the crotch just 6 months later, with very little use. I patched it but that is a really awkward place for the fabric to fail. I think the quality control might not be a high priority with this brand. I will not be ordering from them again.
The design of the shirt I bought was nice and was a nice addition to the wardrobe. However, the fabric is nothing special (i. E. texture is rough) and the length (I bought an XL shirt) of the shirt is really short. I can't recommend this company.
I have purchased a few shirts/sweaters from C2C. First purchase, color was nothing like in catalog. I was told color can vary on computers and in catalogs. Next I ordered a light weight sweater which was nice. After that, every shirt has had problems. On one shirt, the fabric shredded away from cuff of sleeve in one washing. Another had strange bleached out spots all over the shirt. Appeared to be marks made from the buttons. Returned it for another, took 2 months to get a replacement. Another order I placed was on backorder, took about 5 months to get. By the time it arrived I had forgotten I had ordered it, and with their lack of communication, it was easy to forget. Don't waste your time or money.
I love Carbon 2 Cobalt! Almost everything in my closet has been purchased from them. Their sweaters last forever, and I receive compliments on their shirts and tees every time I wear them. The customer service is friendly, helpful, and responds quickly if a return needs to be processed. Very high quality, stylish clothing! My favorite company for causal clothing!
Ordered a shirt which had a manufacturing defect. (Quality Control?) They want me to pay return shipping if I exchange. That's their policy even if it was their mistake. I will refund my card and say goodbye. Good luck with that policy.
Additionally, they said the shirt was in stock when I originally ordered and later discovered it was back ordered. 4 weeks later. Do they not know their inventory or is Sales afraid I would not order. Integrity?
FYI, BBB complaints are similar. This company has issues. I would not recommend.
This company does not give price adjustments for items put on sale like other stores do. The customer service department is an email system, you will never speak to a real person to solve problems. I'll stick with Nordstrom
I've ordered several things from them, and I would probably have ordered more except that (a) they charge for shipping, (b) processing and shipping is slow, and (c) you have to pay shipping to return things. I don't want to run the risk of ordering something that I don't like or doesn't fit and I have to return it, because I would have to pay shipping both directions. Also, getting a response from Customer Service on anything takes at least a day.
Maybe shipping is fast if you live in California but elsewhere (Midwest), it is very slow.
Purchased men's Zamora leather jacket. Buttery soft, nice detail & stitching. 2XL seems more of an XL, so I'm glad I sized up. Shipping was fine fr California to Florida. Jacket is a gift,& I'm sure he'll like it.
