Cheated

Ordered a sweater for $118, and returned it for size reasons (large was too large, medium was too tight). Got a $63 dollar refund. This is not right. Will not order from them again.

It's a gamble!

I bought a couple button-up casual shirts and other sweatshirts/sweater types couple years ago and I still receive the very enticing catalogs periodically. Let me say, the catalogs make you want to throw caution to the wind and drop some extra money to get some stylish, unique casual clothes. I spent about $400 on a few shirts and ended up sending all but one back immediately because the items looked nothing like the catalog photos. Luckily I didn't have the return issues I have read others experienced but it did take longer than normal to see the refund appear on my bank account. But I kept one shirt that looked pretty good but after washing one time, per directions, it was a crinkled-up mess virtually impossible to iron and the fit was terrible. It shrunk even washing in cold and hang-drying. I ended up using this $100 shirt as a painting shirt. It's too bad the catalog always has some "cool" items that make you rationalize spending high prices but DON'T DO IT. I got lucky with my return it seems but you WILL be disappointed with what you get for the money you spend. If you want to spend that kind of money just stick to Polo or Orvis

The fleece was so thin and cheap that after wearing it in my auto for 30 minutes the seatbelt left a stripe across it forever.
The shirt I ordered was soiled around the neck and very poor quality material.
All this at ridiculously high prices.
Waste of money.

I've tried this company twice, both times unsatisfied. I'm done with them.
First order was a men's sweater. Looked great in catalog, not so much in real life and not comfortable. Returned it and ate the $7.95 return fee.
Second order was the Firefly bracelet. Arrived damaged and unwearable. Called customer service to return and they tell me the $7.95 return fee may be waived if I return with original invoice and they agree it was damaged. Not holding my breath.
Same shipping issues as other reviews here.

Company must be same people that ran Territory Ahead (also from CA). High-priced, low-quality crap that doesn't last and doesn't look ANYTHING like it does in catalog or on website.

Very frustrating!

Poor customer service, rude and not helpful. Didn't arrive before Christmas even though ordered on cyber Monday! Said fed ex shipping but then came from us postal service. Sweater was nice enough but certainly did not want to pay the return fee of 7.95 and continue to deal with this company to exchange. Will not order from this company again.

Terrible

Ordered shirts first week of December - eventually had to go thru customer service just to do that. No shirts have arrived, regular operators say they can't help me, I need to go thru customer service - that number is not taking calls at this time... terrible service absolutely the worst. Stay away!

Don't be fooled by a fancy catalog and high-end pricing! This company is a nightmare; worst customer service ever! It's Dec. 24 and still waiting for an order I initiated weeks ago. Don't waste your time and $.

So disappointed in the men's shoes I ordered for my husband and son. They look completely different that the photo. Super cheap, shinny fake leather, with weird fake marbling to make them look cool. The photo in catalog must have been photoshopped as it looks like a naturally distressed leather. Sending them back.

I ordered a sweater on December 9th from this awful company. I called Federal Express and was told this company ships the cheapest way possible. It is on delivery for December 27th. Federal Express told me the package now has to go the United States Postal Center for delivery on the 27th. The package is on track for the way the order was shipped. This company to least to say it very expensive. TRUST ME STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I SENT A PACKAGE TO PARIS, FRANCE AND IT ARRIVED IN 1 WEEK. I can't even get to speak to a person and what good is going to do any way.

I ordered a shirt for my husband on December 2nd. They it would ship on December 16th. Still hasn't shipped as of today. Now my email says they can't guarantee a Christmas delivery. I have been calling for two days to check on my order or cancel if it can't be here by Christmas. I have been on hold for 30 minutes twice and no one can help me. I have been a customer for several years now, but I'm done. Please be very careful using this company.

I was leary ordering from this company based on the reviews here. So I contacted the company and got an immediate response from an employee from their customer service, Tera. She assured me I would be very happy with my purchase and if I wasn't that I would receive a full refund. I'm so glad I took a chance and ordered two shirts for my husbands birthday. Yes, they are pricey but much better styles to choose from than some of the stores I shopped at the malls. My order arrived quickly, the quality was great, the shirts were so soft and great colors. My husband loved them. So if you are on the fence like I was I say go ahead and give them a try I think you will be pleased. I want to thank Tera for her excellent customer service and I will certainly be buying more for my husband and son in the future.

Total misrepresentation

Purchased an Expedition Bag and upon receipt it was mashed out of shape, a cheap lining and the so-called padded slot for a laptop was insufficient at best. This is one of the cheapest products I've ever purchased. I've never been so impressed with a catalog's offerings and so disappointed with the actual product. It just goes to show what a good photographer can do with his/her clients product. BUYER BEWARE! Do not recommend this to anyone expecting a quality product.

My guys LOVE their clothes but it doesn't cost $18 to ship a shirt! In this day and age of free shipping, these shipping costs needs to eliminated or at least reduced. Would buy a lot more often if it wasn't for the ridiculously high shipping costs.

Red Flag

Hello?... What are the lengths of these shirts, sweaters, etc? These cool styles need to be seen on a body, or at least a mannequin. One photo of an item does not give me enough information to evaluate it as a potential purchase. The fit is questionable without these details. Also, there are also no online reviews for the products, which I depend on before ordering. I'm so grateful for these Sitejabber reviews and will not be ordering. A beautiful, complete catalog without a well-developed online store sends up a Red Flag for me, which is confirmed by the majority of reviews I've seen. If the design team could get more support from the production, marketing, and customer service side of this line, these styles might be a very cool addition to my closet.

First off, like so many others the catalog is very different than the actual merchandise. I Believe in supporting businesses in which the country I live in and it has nothing to do with the leader at hand. Clothes are designed in California and made in China. Very very cheaply made. It's no more about good quality it's only about profit on the backs of hard-working people.

Surprising find

Am very happy I stumbled upon Carbon2Cobalt. I was looking to revamp my wardrobe with something new and they have not disappointed. Quality, unique, comfortable clothing. I get a lot of compliments on their shirts and it helps me stand out among the mundane. Best fitting shirts I have ever owned. Highly recommend their clothing line. Customer service, shipping and attention to detail is superb.
