I dropped my remote during the winter... bounced off my rocker panel and popped open... bounced into the snow. I found the case, the circuit board and battery but the rubber contact key pad went into another dimension and was never found. Less than $5 for the replacement case and rubber key pad plus $8 for international shipping to Canada. That's $13 American or $16.25 in Canadian funds (No Duty charges and No Sales Tax charges). A fraction of the cost of buying a new keyfob and programming. Product arrived 5 days earlier than scheduled. 5 minutes to install with a new battery and everything is working perfectly. Will recommend to anyone who will listen.

I called in regards to a defective order for a refurbished remote for a Mazda CX-5 that I had received and really was put off by the customer service rep I spoke with. The key I had received had TWO unlock buttons, one of which is upside down on the remote. Lol. Idk how anyone could mess that up, but they did. When I told this to the customer service rep, he said that was odd and that thwy would have to make sure it was "in fact the remote that had been sent to me" before they'd replace it. As if I was lying and trying to do a switcheroo on them. Really? What a joke of a business. Now I have to ship the remote back, for them "to inspect it" and then wait additional days for a new shipment, all while I am trying to trade in my vehicle with a defective key. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a FOB for my Jeep Grand Cherokee, the description said new. When I took it to a locksmith on their website he tried but the key would not take the program. I paid $120 for the program regardless and the locksmith said it was a used key. In the end I ended going to the dealer for the key and luckily the locksmith gave me a discount to program the second key which worked. When I asked for the programming fee to be reimbursed they where rude and denied sending me a used key. Never again will I use this company and do not recommend them for high end car keys.

I e-mailed this company to make sure the key fob would fit my car. I gave them the vin number and car details.
I then called them before i ordered, to make sure AGAIN it would be compatible with my car. They assured me it would. Fit.
After taking it to an auto shop they showed me that the battery on my old fob was in a different place, so it would NOT work.
I called the company and was told I would have to pay shipping to send it back for a refund.
So I would be out $6.00 total shipping
And still would not have a working key fob. It was THEIR mistake, not mine.
Stay away from this rip off.

The programming instructions describe a method of programming new key fobs with an already programmed one, but that did not work for me. The instructions for removing all key fob mappings and subsequently programming in batch (old and new) worked, but it also confused me by not telling me to put the key fobs in the front cup holder rather than the back cup holder. I assumed the key fobs would be programmed in the back cup holder because the previous steps used the back cup holder. This confusion frustrated me for about 30 minutes before I searched for instructions online that told me to use the front cup holder, after which it took a few seconds to program all my fobs.

So the product is mostly fine, but the instructions should be clearer in this regard. :D

I tried to order some items over the phone, however, the salesperson was not polite and showed immediate agitation from the very start of the call. He pointed out my accent several times, saying that I should order online due to a "language barrier". He then proceeded to insult me in a rough manner that if I do not understand him then I should order online. I asked to talk with his manager, but he hung up on me. I tried to call back, but he had turned the phone to the answering machine. As a business this is unacceptable. Miscommunications are understandable, but the rough and crude way I was treated is not. This is borderline, if not blatant, discrimination and racism.

Paid extra for 2-day shipping. Took the keys to a dealer 180 miles away and they didn't work. Had to pay the $225 per key at the dealer. The customer service rep here at "carandtruckremotes" told me dealers always do that... he wouldn't listen to me and then hung up on me. I called back and they played the "it was Scott not me, and Scott is on another call." Then he gave me a fake owner name and told me someone would call me. Don't get ripped off by these weak people hiding behind an internet page.

When the remote went bad for my 2011 HHR I expected to pay a hefty sum to get a replacement with the very real possibility of needing to go a dealer or locksmith to get the new one programmed. While searching on line I came across a reference to buying only the inside rubber piece with three built in buttons, and for $9.95 figured I could afford to take the chance. The part came today in the mail and I pried open the remote and put the replacement part in, and went outside to check it. It works perfectly! I saved a lot of money, thanks!
