I just noticed when I clicked the final order... it showed... billed in US$ why... I see C$ on this and now I am questioning the currency? I still feel you should indicate USD before the last payment entry... but all in all price was OK converted to C$

Speed of processing and delivery was incredibly fast. Very satisfied.
Overall was impressed by how fast products came in - I ordered mostly Canadian lights so they were already in Canadian warehouses which helps, but even one came from Cleveland and was at my door 2 days later. Was unable to get 4 lights that turned out to be back ordered but otherwise was happy.
Delivery was fast and we are happy with the product and price we paid.
Great place to shop even with the exchange rate it's still cheaper and delivery to your door.

I received the product ok - but it is too bulky and large for the space we have
The web pages were a little misleading - the glass globes turn out touch larger
Than we expected - so I am returning the product for refund
I can not believe the service I received. Light derived exactly in a week to Canada. Thank you!
Was delivered right on time and looks great! We have all 3 fixtures from this line and love them highly recommend
No where does it say that the price is in US $. I realized it the next day on my credit card bill. There was no order confirmation email sent. They have no email address for contacting just a phone number (not 1-800) and an answering machine that no one returns your call on. I couldn't cancel my order. Buyer beware! Very unethical.
I bought a ceiling fan from Canada Lighting Experts. The price was good, then I noticed it was in USD not Canadian Dollars, but I figured I still got a deal. When I received the ceiling fan it was the wrong finished, so I started a replacement. I emailed them prior, and asking if it's an exchange - never got back to me, so I purchase the a new one, and started a return with my old one. Shipped it via UPS - $61 later, and sent them the tracking. Tracking indicates it arrived there and they signed for it. 5 days later i'm still awaiting my credit to be processed. Called, and emailed but no answer. Do not buy from them. Scam artists at play here.
Same as others I ordered from a company called Canadian Lighting, would I have to believe I would pay in any other currency? Yes you do have to pay in USA currency what a BS way to do business never ever ever going to get a penny from me again and hope this educates others.
As soon as I ordered the lights I saw it was in USD ( a little misleading with a company called Canada Lighting Experts) I called a few days letter as charge was still in my credit card. I was told the account showed "pending" it was explained that it was in the process of cancelling and I should see the charge reversed in the next few days. I then received an email stating my purchase has been shipped! Called again and was told there was nothing they could do but as soon as they received the lights they would credit my account. The charge was $100.00 to return to Florida for two one lb boxes. I feel very deceived they refuse to pay any of the cost for return shipping! I would welcome a comment to this review from the Company!
They do not make it known that you will pay in USD. CANADA is in the name of their company but this is an american company and you will pay in USD. When you want to return something, they will not pay for shipping to the states. They will not return your phone calls or emails either.
All though that is a slogan they put on their web page " the price you see is the price you pay" it's a total lie. The price you see changes the minuet you check your visa. They are too deceitful to put a Canadian dollar price on their items in hopes of tricking you. Then when you realize and try to cancel the order they say oh sorry it's already shipped. Even if you do this within hours of placing the order... it's always shipped. Then good luck returning, I'm in the process of this now and they sent me return slips that require me to pay the return. I'm in talks with them and we'll see what happens I guess. One more thing. The items arrived heavily damaged with big holes through every box. Not sure what it looks like In side and I'm not about to open to find out. I'm sure they will prolly try and ding me for that too. Ugh! Never again.
Canadian Lighting Experts are not experts in lighting and they are certainly not a Canadian company. Their real name is One Stop Lighting which is an American company. This is the name you see on your statement.
They are clear about the fact they pay the customs and duty charges but not that the pricing you see is in American dollars. You don't find out until you see your credit card statement. No where on check out is there a US dollar sign next to the total.
When I called to talk to a customer service rep to I was repeatedly talked over by her. She would not give me her name. I asked to speak to a manager. She told me I would get a call from her in 48 to 72 hours.
I would not recommend this company, they are not transparent about their pricing and their customer service reps are rude.
This company has been terrible to deal with. It doesn't matter how many times you email or call you will never get a customer service agent on the line. They are deceptive in their pricing and very difficult to deal with when it comes to returns. Buyer beware, wish I never found them.
The list price on CANADA light experts is in USD. The token answer given by the representative on the other posts is that they mention numberous times you will be charged in USD. The issue is, they state this in the manner that makes it sound like the list price is Canadian, but as they are an american website you will be charged the equivalent in USD (mention some nonsense about how rates fluctuate so price may not be as stated - making it sound like there is a conversion that will happen).
I have to assume this is done intentionally by the retailer to bet on the laziness or absent mindedness of the customers to not immediately check their credit card. I bought a fixture and luckily caught that it was 1.333x what I expected to pay.
Nothing worse than a SNEAKY company. Will not buy again.
Received my order very quickly. Glad that duties and taxes are included in the price. One shade on the sconce was defective and was replaced and shipped in a couple of days. Very pleased with the chandelier and matching sconces made by Hinkley Lighting.
I was told by Stephanie, a supervisor, that glass breaks easily when I explained that the glass light covers on my 3 ceiling fans (same model) break when attempting to take off when changing the light bulb. She had no empathy when I explained that this was the second time it had happened to me.
Instead of helping me order a new one, she directed me to the website to request a quote for it. Very impersonal and not helpful at all.
Poor customer service. Charged for in USD when advertised as Canadian site. Product was not in stock even though advertised as stock. Would not let me cancel order even with 4-6 week delivery.

We appreciate this feedback and we're sorry the customer isn't happy with how our processes work. We don't regularly sell replacement parts, but when something like this happens, we just ask that customer's submit a quote for the part, and then our parts specialist will be able to get the information to order it. We're happy to help, but we just need to make sure the request gets to the right department. We're sorry again if this was viewed as unhelpful or impersonal.
