One would think that a company called "CanadaLightingExperts" would be based in Canada and list prices in Canadian dollars. Please reset your expectations. This company is based in California. The prices are listed in US dollars. Most companies that serve international customers have the decency to identify the currency before one is checking out.

In my case, I ordered three lights with the same SKU (2 by the garage and one by the front door). Three boxes are delivered several weeks later and one light is completely different. I complete the return process online. After a month, I received an email containing a "we are working on it" message. Now, two months has passed with no further communication. I still don't have the correct light.

If this company were located in Ontario, I would file a consumer complaint.

On October 21/20 I found an led lit 24in round makeup mirror on their site for my new suite. I ordered it, paid $82 US and expected it to be delivered in a week as per their guarantee. About a week later I got an email that it was back ordered until Nov 30. Oh ok, well I can live with that. I'll just have to bring the electrician back to hard-wire it in the spot he made for it when it arrives. So on Nov 27 I called again to see if it was still coming on Nov 30th. They said yes but you can go on the site of the manufacturer and check it out there. I did that put in the model # and up comes a lamp. Whaaattt - My order says that model # belongs to the mirror I wanted. I put in the descriptioin of the mirror I wanted on manufacturers site and it came up with a different model # and the price was $399 U.S. Hummm... I phoned them back and said what I had found and she checked as well at that time and said she would get back to me after checking with the manufacturer, Within 5 minutes I had an email from her saying they were sorry they had made a mistake on their data entry and they had immediately refunded my $87 back to Paypal. Really they were covering their asses by refunding immediately before discussing with me what to do essentially obliterating my order. I emailed back saying I wanted them to sub the mirror to the correct number for the same price I had paid and that I wasn't going to pay $399 for their mistake. Again got an email saying that they would discount it for me but they couldn't sell it for that price. Refund already gone through so what to do. Essentially they ripped me off and are not standing behind the invoice I have. That's like dishonest advertising. I know they made an error but a big company like that should stand behind the invoice they gave me and accepted the payment and deliver what I had ordered. By the way their prices are shown in US dollars but they are on a site that appears to look Canadian (CanadaLighting) and they do not say that these prices will be converted to Canadian dollars adding 30% to the price. I'd say Scam outfit - stay away.

I was shocked to find that i was charged in US currency after the fact. Why do the prices reflect US currency when its called CANADALIGHTINGEXPERTS! After I tried to get a return order, they said that because its on its way they cannot stop the shipment and that it will have to arrive at my place first then I will have to return it myself and that I will have to pay the return shipping! WHAT A MONEY GRAB! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE
