This company is in the USA! They go by another name of Bellami or one stop lighting! Do not purchase from this company or these people! They constantly lie! No phone number to reach them! I Ordered a ceiling fan 2 weeks ago from them it said delivery in 3-5 days! No fan yet no refund no tracking information! You cannot phone them@ all phone number is an automated service!
No one answers you for days! And all they say is you should get it soon! Order number ******* paid in full I have chatted with your online people all they say is you should get it soon! Told 2-3 days in customs now 5! Absolute Joke!

Horrible Company - Buyer Beware!

I purchased 2 lamps the other day from Canada Lighting Experts - supposedly "Canada's #1 Shop For Residential Lighting". Today I just noticed that I was charged in US funds...not Canadian. I spoke with a horrible and rude customer service rep (Lanel Cortez) who basically said "too bad" and that I can return the package at my own expense.

Despite coming across as a Canadian company, they are not. Avoid purchasing from this very deceitful and predatory company at all cost!

A month after I ordered my products that order was cancelled because I was told they would not ship to me, but there was no explanation of why. I was reimbursed but still had to pay the $25 exchange rate change/fees for the currency change. Customer service was super challenging and only available on online chat. All they said was 'sorry' and that they were not going to do anything about it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Terrible customer service

I ordered outdoor light fixture it was delivered and as soon as you touched the box you could hear broken glass. They sent me a return and how do l know that the styrofoam it was packed in was ripped in half? Before you send out something make sure it is not broken and not a returned item. I should have known better there is no customer service. So disgusted l would never recommend anyone buy from them

I did order Nuvo Lighting - 65/333 - 40W 3500K 1 LED Flat Panel Flush Mount (Pack of 2) and they didn't send a pack of 2... just 1 item...
They are the worst... they charge in USD,,, yeah it's mention in small print... but not mention in the principal pages.
They don't send you the actual product description... it's easy... Pack of 2 mean that I have 2 product when I order the item 65/333.
They do not respond telephone call... they let me listening music for hours...
AVOID THIS PLACE
They are not honest, they trick you and they accept return, but the cost is crazy... none sens!
It will be cheaper to scrap their products than returning them...
NEVER EVER AGAIN!
***Update - Been weeks we email with someone that promises us to send us back the 3 lights missing (half of the order) but never received any tracking number, no sign of shipping product, just excuses... it's a real SCAM... AVOID THIS PLACE!

Terrible Response Time

I canceled my order within 10 minutes of realizing it was billed in USD. Nearly two weeks later I heard back from someone indicating that it is now too late to cancel but they'd be happy to let me know how to return the items if I decided not to keep them. It's almost impossible to reach a real person beyond email.

Surprised...

I ordered two lights on Monday of this week. I was skeptical because the lights I ordered were $270 cheaper than a well known lightening store which I have bought from - even with their 20% discount. The two agents I spoke to were very helpful and patient... because I was skeptical and asked a lot of questions. I felt this had to be a scam. Well, the lights came today which is Wednesday - 3 days. I live in Canada and had assume it would take longer than 3 days. Great experience.

I requested to purchase an incandescent light fixture - the details of the product on the website was listed with such details. They sent me over 3 units that are LED integrated. I called the help desk and they informed me that this is a mistake on the vendor's part of putting the incorrect product details on the website. I was told verbally that I would receive a full refund and would not bare shipping costs.

Once the ticket was submitted, I was told that I would receive my refund when the product is shipped to me. However, they would not be reimbursing me the shipping cost of these three large items. This is completely unacceptable because Canada Lighting promoted a product with the incorrect details and now is expecting the buyer to bear the cost of their mistake. I am still in talks with the help desk but it is not looking good for me. I spent well over 300 dollars to buy all these lights. Completely baffled by the lack of customer experience. Do not buy from them.

Nightmare Experience

It has been a nightmare dealing with CanadaLighting. Eventually I managed to construct the track lighting system I envisaged despite being sent incorrect parts and malfunctioning pieces. Receiving a refund for the parts that were sent in error took months and only happened because I kept on their case. Returns appear to be managed by a 3rd party outfit whose objective seems to be to frustrate the customer until they give up. Response times promised on their website are a complete joke. I currently have a ticket in to return a length of track that does not carry current, but I refuse to spend the weeks of frustration it will take to get a refund. Instead, I will post this review everywhere I can and at least have the satisfaction of venting my frustration.
UPDATE: It gets worse! I have now been advised the length of defective track I am attempting to return is classed as "an accessory" and does not qualify for a refund. So they will happily accept your money but if the product is defective you're out of luck and out of pocket!

Terrible customer service

I'm beginning to wonder if I have been scammed. I have waited over a month for my order. When I try to track it there is no info and when I call they are always offline and I get disconnected. If my order ever arrives I will never deal with this company again! EVER! My money is gone but can't reach a person to find out where my product is.

Use caution as you think you are ordering from a Canadian company, but that is not true. I was charged in USD, and the lights were bigger than I expected (I measured) when I processed my return I learned I was shipping to a US address. Very costly lesson, I am good at doing my homework before I make an online purchase, this one got the better of me.

Extremely Disappointed in this Company

I was so excited to stumble accross this company. Their products are beautiful and I was in the market for purchasing some lighting. I found the perfect lamps and small occassional table for my home. My enthusiasm was short lived, however, when I discovered that this is actually an American company, not a Canadian one as advertised, and that the cost for purchasing from this site would ultimately be in US funds. That aside, I was still interested in moving forward with my order because I fell in love with several items. I placed my order which amounted to $1700.00 (a lot of money for me). After two full weeks of hearing nothing and diligently checking their website, it appears as though my order has not even been processed, never mind shipped. I received a confirmation email that my Order would be shipped shortly and that I could track it. That is not true, there is literally no way to track the order. The Live Chat on their website is useless. When I try to prompt it, a message comes up that says they are closed for the holidays and will re-open on December 27th. It is now January 15th and the Live Chat still does not work. As well, when I attempted to contact the one and only number I could find, it is impossible to reach a real person, nor can I leave a voice message with their Customer Service Department. This website was beginning to feel a little sketchy to me so out of frustration, I cancelled my entire order and could not be more disappointed. I have never written a bad review for a company in my life, until today. I have the patience of a thousand people but I hate being misled, ignored and especially lied to. This is shameful service to say the least. What should have been a fun and exciting experience ended up as a complete and utter failure on the part of this company. Grrrrr.

I ordered two ceiling fans plus an extender. The first fan arrived without any of the hardware or instructions. This was in badly damaged box. The 2nd fan arrived days later in another badly damaged box (so bad that even Fedex took a picture). But it did have all the components and instructions. Since May 25th, we have made countless calls to Canadian Lighting, they open a ticket but nothing happens. We have also phoned Quorum who says they cannot help as we went through Canadian Lighting. Note the instructions say to call the manufacturer immediately if parts are missing. So now we have called the distributor who indicates it did not go through their warehouse but she will reach out to both companies and try to help. BTW. The extender rod has never shown up either. So i would not recommend buying products from the manufacturer or via canadian lighting.

Website Inaccurate

I read all the reviews, looked at the overall positive rating, contacted customer service via chat, was aware of US location and payment in USD. All good so I sent in my order. Then... nothing. Looked at my account 2 days after purchasing and saw that my order was refunded. No email. Website still has item available for order. Tried calling customer service and was prompted to enter a passcode. Tried chat but the only department open was sales. Where is my order, etc was offline. Seems you can only ask questions if you want to buy. Turned out item has been discontinued. Make sure item is in stock before ordering despite being able to add to cart and pay for it. It will save you time - ordering, wait for shipment, trying to contact customer service, wait for refund.

CanadaLighting attempted to help this customer through the SmartCustomer Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

Be aware that This IS an American company moonlighting as a Canadian company called Canadian lighting experts and will
Charge in USD.
I missed that when placing payments and in little letters next to your payment choice it is disclosed.
I never in a million years would have paid that price for this lighting.
It isn't worth it

Overall, a good first time experience

First time shopper with Canada Lighting. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the experience. Based on other reviews I've looked at, my suggestion would be to take a good look at the policies etc on their website before ordering. The company is US based, the items are listed in USD, and the items are shipped from the US, but all taxes/brokerage fees/duty are included. My order was relatively small (3 items - just under $100 USD), but I saved over $90 CDN compared to buying the items in Canada from a popular big box building store. Two of the items had the one week delivery guarantee. They were just over 2 weeks arriving (to northern SK), but that also crossed over New Years. The shipping rebate was only $10 USD instead of $25 because my order was under $100, but that is stated in the website if you look. No issue calling in and getting the rebate. The last item arrived today, so I got everything within a month, which I'm satisfied with. All the items I ordered had the correct specs in their listings.

One thing that is on the website that could be misleading is that on many items there is a maple leaf logo that says beside it "Canadian Manufacturer Ships from Canada". Which is totally bogus, since they do ship from the US, and since I can clearly look up the same items on other websites and see that they are made in China or wherever. In my opinion, stuff like that should be cleaned up on their website. But if I need more lights sometime, I wouldn't hesitate to shop with them again.

Buyer Beware

The specification information on their website for the product was incorrect. It said width 6" though when I got it I saw that the width was in reality 4.75" and did not work. It cost me $65 to return the two sconces because of THEIR MISTAKE. Don't trust anything they write.

Brutal

Shame on me. I read the reviews and still ordered. The ratings on this site are likely fake because if you look elsewhere their reviews are terrible. The 25 dollar refund for not receiving your product within a week is PER ORDER NOT PER PRODUCT THAT IS LATE. After 2 weeks my order still has not shipped. I suspect I have been ripped off and they are just stretching the event out. Beware this company is terrible to deal with. My email to them bounces back as undeliverable
