BritBox garners mixed feedback, with many customers expressing appreciation for its diverse and engaging content, particularly in the realm of British television. However, significant concerns arise regarding the platform's technical reliability and customer service. Users frequently encounter issues with streaming interruptions, difficulties in canceling subscriptions, and unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations over billing practices. The overall sentiment suggests that while the content quality is valued, the user experience is hampered by navigational challenges and inadequate assistance, prompting some customers to seek alternatives. Addressing these operational shortcomings could enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

I started the free trial of Britbox and it clearly is unusable in it's current form. For Boxsets it doesn't remember where you left off and intros cannot be skipoed. There is no Children's content which could be a great subscription winner and the navigation in general is awful. I have another three weeks left on the free trial but unless the interface improves very quickly I will not pay for such poor service. A bit if user testing before going live would have been much better than this current flop.
Politically correct pathetic programming who are these idiots to censor British classics like ain't half hot mum and fools and horses, these half wits wont last two minutes, stay clear,
BritBox is terrible. Continuously cutting out yet I can watch Netflix or amazon all day without connection issues. When you return to a programme it takes you back to the beginning not where you left off! Plus it's basically IPlayer + ITV Hub, which is free anyway. I won't be carry on my subscription after the free trial, load of s**t
I'm very disappointed after 24 hours of britbox. So what's missing? We're do I start how about Sharpe, Dr who, non of the big blockbuster TV series
Signed up etc for BritBox (now cancelled). Go through the whole thing everything works until I press play... nothing apart from a black screen.
So much for this plays on smart TVs! 4 year old Sony 4K tv with all the updates.
As someone else said the content is good, but the navigation is atrocious. I wish I had read the reviews before paying for a year... there is no refund. It doesn't caste, it doesn't show which shows you've watched, etc. sure hope it improves before my subscription is over.
I love a lot of the content, but the navigation is horrible. This isn't brain surgery - get someone to fix it!!!
Based on other reviews this is probably pointless. I haven't had any of the problems other people have had. I loved Brit box. But I just started a series and there were ads. I pay for television so I don't have to watch ads. I hate them. I cancelled my subscription.
Signed for FREE week, to be followed by mothly charge. Billed for a year, will not talk
STAY WAY... THEY WILL NOT CONFIRM PURCHASE. DON'T GET CAUGHT IN THEIR BOX
Holy crap; the new UI is just awful (I say this as someone who has written consumer software for 40 years.
After the free trial I was immediately charged and the service abruptly STOPPED WORKING. Repeated phone calls to customer service went nowhere. When I followed their instructions I was presented with a pay up screen. I already paid up. No service. Lost my money and cancelled. They do NOT issue refunds!
I don't understand why I have to paid for Britbox if I want to watch it on my Laptop, why should I paid twice for Britbox on my TV and Laptop..
Seriously why is Britbox so slow and primitive? Don't tell me you can't develop a better interface than this. If Acorn were any better I'd switch but it's just as bad. Is this a British issue? Is it somehow related to Brexit? Please bring this thing up to 21st century user interface standards before I lose it and throw my remote through the tv.
We subscribed only to watch Shetland since it has disappeared from Netflix. The navigation is attrcoious, really breathtakingly bad. The worst though is that closed captioning is not supported. Shetland had CC when on Netflix, but it's nowhere to be found on Britbox. Have you ever tried listening to a Shatland accent as an American? It's often unintelligible. Britbox is an ebarassment and we'll be cancelling as soon as we finish the Shetland episodes.

I tried to watch a previous episode on a series but found the is no way to do this on Roku on a TV.
I wanted to watch some old episodes of Father Brown and BB was charging a fee despite the fact I have a subscription to BB. You can watch old stuff on Netflix as long as you have a subscription, which I did.
Horrible site, basic functionality missing, customer support non-responsive.
1. No search engine (probably unique on the world wide web)
2. Close captioning missing for some movies
3. Close captioning not in sync with the movie
4. Random episodes from various series missing
The problem I'm having is that once an episode of my series has ended, if I miss something, I cannot replay it. Every time I click on the episode, it flashes and then skips to the next. I see no replay option. I can't get it to start the episode over. Beyond frustrating.
I signed up for Britbox thru my Amazon Prime because I love the shows that are aired. However, you start binging and then you cannot watch the final episodes because yoi need to get Acorn (Poirot) so I got Acorn, and thay have one of my favorites, Miss Fisher. So now I have three subscriptions, Amazon Prime, Britbox and Acorn, low and behold that in order for me to watch season three I have to either buy the whole season or per episode. This is just another way to rip off the consumer, By the time you get all subsidiaries or per episode payment you might as well stay with cable.
I'm sick of watching episodes of "Emmerdale" past the credits, to the ITV splash screen, only to return the next day and have to click Resume on episodes I watched a week ago. (Today is August 21st and I had to Resume episodes starting from the 13th.) I see no way to navigate straight to the day's episode. I'm tired of wasting my time, so I'm going to cancel and see if I have better luck navigating BritBox through Amazon Prime. I have no beef with the programs available, but the Roku app is garbage.
