BritBox garners mixed feedback, with many customers expressing appreciation for its diverse and engaging content, particularly in the realm of British television. However, significant concerns arise regarding the platform's technical reliability and customer service. Users frequently encounter issues with streaming interruptions, difficulties in canceling subscriptions, and unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations over billing practices. The overall sentiment suggests that while the content quality is valued, the user experience is hampered by navigational challenges and inadequate assistance, prompting some customers to seek alternatives. Addressing these operational shortcomings could enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

4 minutes to load a show and sometimes cant sign in. It just spins and spins. How in this day and age does this happen. To bad, good show line up
All of my streaming services work just fine. Even the more obscure ones, but I try to cast this to my TV, and I might get 5 minutes of viewing, and then buffer for 10-30 seconds. It's annoying as hell, and I'll be canceling this at the end of my free trial.
Great news - their customer service is so bad I can't even pay them after my trial ended - they claim my payment was declined and if I input other credit card, their site won't accept.
Poor selection and repeats that you get anyway... I would not entertain as you pay the bbc for a licence so why should you be paying again scandalous
You can't redeem a gift without having a credit card. And it doesn't say this in their gift terms. Tried to update an account via email and received a reply that was flippant. Tried calling and was first called rude by the woman who answered because I dared ask if the person emailing me trying to be funny and then left on hold then hung up on. Called back and was told basically it was my bad luck to receive a gift that requires a credit card to redeem and that the person purchasing it should have read the How to redeem page and not the actual gift card terms. No wonder they dont give you their names when you call.
Released with too many glitches and poor programming in both senses of the word. Would love to see some of the old programmes but it doesn't work on modern TVs anyway. I'll watch a few on my computer and cancel it. I hope Netflix buys it out.
This does not work on my internet connection but my other services do there are constant problems with buffering when I messaged britbox they keep saying they are trying to resolve the problem and send a link to report problems but you cant get to the link for help my internet works on all sites
I took the free trial and liked it so I signed up on 1/21/2020. The one year price was 69.99. Yesterday I got my credit card bill. I'd been charged 76.01. I demanded a refund of the difference and was refused. I demanded that my subscription be cancelled and the full amount refunded. I was refused. As of yesterday, Britbox website is still concealing the additional charge.
Stuffing useless wont work on phone as we speak. Cant load help line chuffing useless wank. What the hell. It goes off for o reason. Will get rid
Currently I have both Netflix & BritBox. And I'm so upset with Netflix. My favorite show is "Midsomer Murders." Netflix completed removed all of their seasons and never showed the 21st season at all. BritBox not only gives me access to watch all previous 20 seasons at my leisure but also added all the episodes of the 21st season! I do not have Acorn Tv which does show this latest season. So thank you BritBox! Never had a problem with you at all! I'm hoping to go to a "Midsomer Murder" tour in London soon. As a suggestion, I do wish that you add more classic shows like "Mr. Bean" skits from Rowan Atkinson for example. Still enjoying "Keeping Up Appearances," "Shettland," "Wallander," & more. Thanks again!
I erroneously signed up for a trial under another state and tried to correct it which led me to get charged twice. I called BritBox customer service and without hesitation they told me that they don't issue refunds or credits. Extremely disappointed!
Signal freezes from time to time. I have had two providers and the same issue with both so it is Britbox. Call customer service and received response that it was an issue, the freezing even she had it. Tech support is working on it?
For some reason I pay for a very unstable app which I mean I need to unplug from my rocku sometimes days at a time. Totally cool about it. However know Kinda not cool since I asked for a reset and it never came through
Their service is awful. Programs, if you can get them, are great, but their streaming is awful. We have paid for Britbox for over a year. We cannot get it directly but finally figured out we could go through Apple TV. Now they won't allow it. Anything we try comes up with a request for us to try it free and follows with "unfortunately Britbox is only available in the US and Canada". We live in California and as far as I am aware we are a part of the US. IT is so frustrating I strongly advise against anyone paying for their non-service
I cannot believe the amount of buffering with Britbox. It was my mistake to try Britbox, I never had any issues whatsoever with Acorn TV.
Had to find a device that I could actually review my account details on first. When I could finally access them I had no choice to manage my subscription in any capacity.
Signed up for a trial and wanted to switch to over to the Amazon version so I could use devices. They signed me up for full service before the trial was up and I have been unable to get in touch with anyone for 6 weeks to get the issue resolved! Total ripoff.
Don't even think about it. Big ripoff. Signed up while I was using Roku stick and now am using Amazon Firestick. Sorry - you have to pay again. Had an annual subscription but need to pay again if I want to use a Firestick - crazy! Talked with support and got nothing but "Too bad, so sad!" How do they expect to do business if that's how they react to customers.
BritBox is OK if you love UK TV. It's got a load of stuff on there, but the fact that it's not iPlayer is just frankly baffling.
There are so many navigation issues and the whole scrolling to the next episode is just awful.
Maybe come back in a year, but right now, the flaws are really glaring and there's just not enough here to make it worth watching past the free trial.
I was excited to see the content included as part of the launch (particularly Doctor Who). There has also been a lot of familiar added content.
My biggest issue is the difficulty navigating the content, application freezing and having to reboot the tv to remove on screen message.
Iplayer works perfectly someone should be drafted in to support or many people will not renew after trial periods
