I purchased $300 worth of bulbs. When they arrived at my home they were all dried up and mildewed. Initially customer service said they would replace the flowers after waiting multiple weeks and too late to plant them I requested a refund. I have had to fight with them constantly to even consider a refund and now it's going to take 45 to 60 days. Absolutely worst company I have ever dealt with - be smart don't order from them.
I ordered from Brecks in March, was told items would come in May, then June. When I called customer service the middle of May, I was told that items would be 'rushed' and arrive by June 1. It is now June 11 and no order. Looked up the order and it has been pushed back yet again. Also ordered shade plants in March-arrived in April. When they arrived, 1/3 of the plants had come loose in the packaging and were damaged. Definitely will NOT order from Brecks again.
Do not order from Brecks. The delivery is very slow. The first plants I ordered never grew an inch from the roots despite following the planting instructions exactly. I received a replacement certificate but still had to pay shipping again. The replacement order was supposed to be "in pots" but it was only roots in a plastic bag. That delivery package insert stated two plants were enclosed (and charged), but only one was in the box. When I called to complain, I was told the second plant was "out of stock."
We received a 3 bulb planter for Christmas as a gift. The leaves were green. The leaves kept growing, looked healthy. The flowers never came. 3 for 3 were duds. Because the leaves were green, we waited a long time to call for a refund. When I finally did, after talking to 2 different people in India, they agreed to a refund. It's been almost 2 months, still waiting.
I have give Breck's multiple chances... they have disappointed every time. I have yet to receive a full order. They will give me credit for items that I didn't receive/arrived dead HOWEVER if any part of the order was received- they won't refund the shipping even though i may receive 1 plant out of an entire order!
As it stands, I keep placing new orders to try and use the credit since they refuse to refund original payment and keep receiving store credit because they never fulfill the entire order but all that is being eaten away by shipping which I think is their whole plan!

Never ever again will I order anything from Brecks. Bulbs arrived - mostly dirt, bulbs non existent. Customer service useless. Absolute waste of money and time. Terrible experience
I did not recieve my Lilies from Brecks. It says they were delivered. I was home all day and FedEx did not bring my package.
I received an email for 50 off 100. While shopping the the Customer also Viewed window screen would show a great sale price but when trying to add to cart the price changes to much, much higher. We spread our time over the weekend shopping. Wasted our time! The first time it was giving sale price on Friday and Saturday morning but by Saturday afternoon through Monday, the last day of deal, the prices were not the same, gone up when click on sale price. Even the ones I had in the cart had gone up but still showed much lower sale price on web site. It was like they knew I was putting an order together, they had me, so they inflated the prices, I guess hoping I would go through with the order. I call their customer service in India. Not any help, she said she had no authority to correct it. I contacted them through their electronic contact page, wrote message, twice, have not heard back. We spent hours putting an order together, what a waste of time. Total scam, shop elsewhere.
They sell items, that they don't even have in stock. If you are buying for a spring planting, you may not receive your item until mid-summer (too late to plant). If you purchase an item for fall planting, you may not receive it until winter (again, too late to plant). I would strongly suggest, that you order from a more dependable company.
It took 23 days before I received a message that read, "your order has arrived in the US!" It noted to allow another 10 days for delivery. It's now 3 weeks later, and I still don't have my stuff. I've contacted them twice, and each time they replied that a case has been opened for my inquiry and someone would get back to me soon... Right before I found out that the items were hailed as a success for arrive in the US, I feel like an idiot for placing a second order. Unless you want your items to show up this fall, or maybe not at all, I'd look elsewhere for plants.
Placed a couple orders and confirmation is quick but trying to trace delivery is really non-existing. This site as most mail order nursery business's, are pretty vague as no stock is carried at the site location. My first was shipped from Holland by sea. It was order early, so 3 to 4 weeks shipping was ok, but bulbs in poor condition. Long growth already started. Tried a 2nd order but cancelled it as no response via e-mail on actual delivery date. If your willing to gamble, you can get a good selection not usually available locally, go for it.
Plants were tiny and half dead. Waited forever for shipping and was so disappointed. Shop somewhere else.
What a miserable experience. Ordered bulbs several months ago received a notification that they, "have arrived in the US and should be with you in 10 days"... a month ago. Still no sign of the bulbs I ordered and, worse, no reply from Breck's when I asked for an update on my order. Waste of money and time. Do yourself a favor: if you need bulbs, don't go to Breck's. Plenty of other, better options.
Very poor plant material, 2/3rd's of the order was rotted when arrived, and a shipping protocol straight out of the 19th century.
I have ordered twice from Breck's. Shipping, even though timed for planting in your zone, is ridiculously long. First purchase was bulbs and peonies. Very few of the bulbs (~100) actually sprouted/bloomed. The peonies are doing well in their second year.
This year's order was a combo of shade and sun perennials, 2 of which showed no sign of life after 6 weeks. I reached out to Breck's for a refund so that I could purchase locally and get them in the ground, but Breck's doesn't refund, they issue merchandise vouchers. So I shopped for $33 in merchandise, added in my voucher amount, and then had $10 shipping added on. Called Breck's and had a 30 min call with someone in the Philipines trying to explain that I shouldn't have to pay shipping for replacements. He never "got it". Kept telling me to call back later. Finally got someone who understood, and she provided a free shipping code, so I put in my order, went back to review, and it took out my voucher amount and charged the entire order to my credit card. 3rd call to cancel order because there is no place on their website to do that. Customer service rep was helpful and took care of cancelling and reordering, but between the plants that aren't viable, and the headaches to correct, it's just not worth it to order from this company.

As of 4/30/2022, Breck's Bulbs sent Fedex the electronic info 4/11/2022, and they still can't get the plant to them.
I emailed them to day. Told them to cancel the order.
They said that " I am unable to cancel this order as it has already shipped from Holland. Your order is expected to reach the United States FedEx facility on 04/28/22."
04/28/22 has already past!
This is the second order they kept delaying!
Will not buy from them again!
On 3. 9. 22 we spent $303.30 for our order. It never arrived. They totally lost the order, but had the money. We finally did a chargeback and are awaiting their response. My wife called and they actually found the other 75.00 order which still hasn't arrived and so we did another chargeback, different card. The issue comes mostly because it's live material. It's travel is International. Until they have a warehouse here in the U.S. we will never (they wouldn't voluntary refund) order from them again. You can't refund, what you cannot find. If you cannot find, you do not deserve my business. Save yourself the hassle, they also transfer calls to someplace else, India? Regardless, don't throw your money away.
Breck's will take forever to ship, and in the year 2022 are unable to send a bill through email. Placed an order for hellebores based through a paper order form sent to me in a Breck's catalog. The order was received by Breck's on 1/14/21 with estimated ship date of 5/14/21. Received email on 5/20/21 informing me that shipping date was delayed until 10/21/21. Order finally shipped on 9/22/21. Received email correspondence regarding order status but it never indicated any outstanding balance on the account. Breck's claims they sent bill through mail, which I never received as I'd moved away from the address in question by the time they sent it, and they never many any attempt to send any statement electronically. Instead of ever trying to call or email, they passed the account balance on to a debt collector. Will not be spending another cent with Breck's. They're at best misleading - and at worst it's a total scam that will show up long after promised, with all sorts of nasty surprised attached.
A while back I placed an order that included a Globe Artichoke. Not long after, I received a notice that said it was out of stock. Then this week, I received another catalog which included the Globe Artichoke, so I tried to order it again, only to learn that it is still out of stock. Why do the advertise something they can't deliver?
I ordered specific rhizomes and all were labeled as my order. When a few have bloomed they were not what I ordered but something I wasn't happy with. You never know until they finally bloom so you're pretty much stuck with what they gave you. I was gifted some all labeled with a variety that came up something different so not a one off. So unhappy because iris are my favorite flower.
Answer: They never sent any product that I order for fall. Canceled my order after cashing my check. Still waiting for the refund. So no becks products to show off here. Only a un happy customer
