I purchased my phone from Boost in 2022. Four years later in 2026 I asked to have my phone unlocked so I could try another network out. The customer service said I had to wait 2 months due to some sort of "time constraint" 12 months of uninterrupted service or something. I didn't understand, I'd been a loyal customer since 2022. What gives?
Apparently, I used auto-pay and the credit card on file expired. This was about 10 months ago. I rarely use the phone and as soon I realized the phone service was down I called. Found out about the expired card and renewed the service. It was literally a 1 week lapse after close to 3 years of uninterrupted service previously. This was followed by another 10 months of uninterrupted service.
Regardless of this 12 month issue, I'd think the previous 3 years of service would grandfather me in. I paid for the phone. I was a good customer for almost 4 years. I feel cheated. I got so mad I just ordered a new phone now so I can use the new network. As soon as everything is in order I'm cancelling Boost and telling everyone I know to stay away. I didn't deserve this.
On top of that, my service was supposed to be much less. Somehow my service went from $20 a month to $40 month. Another reason I wanted to cxl account.
BOOST MOBILE REMMENDED BY DISH. THE PHONE THAT WAS TO BE USED DID NOT A PHONE AND I DECLINCTIVATE DUE TO PREVIOS CARRIER PUT LOCK ON THE PHONE. THAT HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVATED FOR ALMOST A YEAR. DISH ASKED ME FOR THE IMEI SERIAL NUMBER TO TO CHECK AND FIND OUT PHONE COULD BE ACTIVATED THRU BOOST MOBILE THEY SAID THE PHONE COULD BE ACTIVATED. ALSO DISH WANTED ME TOPURCHASE A NEW GALAXY PHONE I DECLINED ON THE DATE TO BE ACTIVATED REP FRO BOOST COULD NOT ACTIVATE THE PHONE HE CONTACT HIS SUPERVISOR AND STATED PHONE COULD NOT BE USE FOR ACTIVATION THEY ASSURED ME THAT I CAN PURCHASE A NEW PHONE THRU BOOST I SAID NO WAY. I WILL BUY A NEW PHONE. I TRQUEST MY REFUND FOR MONTHLY SERVICE CHG 19.79 CENTS. 3 TIMES THET DECLINED. REPRESENATIVE NAME CHEN SIA I HAD TO PROVE WHO I AM. I GAVE THE MY ACCOUNT NO. WHICH I WOULD ONLY KNOW. THEY MARK AND CHEN WERE BOTH RUDE AND DID NOT CARE SHAME SHAME ON YOU BOOST MOBILE. U WILL LOOSE MORE CUSTOMERS AND BE OUT OF BUSINESS SOONER THEN U THINK. 01/
I have had cell service since the 1980's. Never have I had this level of service from a cell phone carrier. From the day I activated my Boost service I have been attempting to return the equipment and terminate service. The service is so unreliable that my battery needs recharging throughout the day. The phone continually drops calls and when accessing the mail or other internet features, the phone will not load content due to the poor connection. Every time I have called, they attempt to troubleshoot with no resolution and simply escalate to level II IT desk and tell me to wait for a call within 48 hours. The call never comes. This is simply an attempt to stall and eat up the 30 day return window. Every time I talked to them, they confirmed I had no contract, and I could terminate service at any time. I requested a return label from that first day and several times after. The return label never comes. What a racket. Save yourself much aggravation and do not use this service. Also, the customer service people are offshore and only know how to read a script. They are not able or allowed to resolve anything and they are not afraid to simply hang up on you if you push them to escalate the call.
Crime organization
Boost Mobile and the insurance company is a crime organization. I sent my phone to get screen fixed and they sent it back with no Sim card I changed my number and that's when I found out my Sim card was cloned and turned on from with in the company. I literally had 2 numbers for one phone. They broke in my cash app account and changed setting to emails. They leaked my information to the dark web. I called both companies boost said call live wire and live wire said call boost. Please stay away and pass this on. This Company changed. They laughed and hung up in my face. I could not believe how bold they were in committing this crime. I guess they knew that nobody would do anything. I called fcc. I wrote supervisors I am getting no help meanwhile they have everything that was on my Sim card. This is so disgusting and disappointing and to get someone to look into this is like trying to drive the moon to the sun. You would think that all the trust we put in these phones they would at least check it out. We trust these cell phone companies with everything. We do business, upload pics and important documents on our phones and it's so easy for a worker not even a common theif but a worker at work to take your Sim clone it send my phone back to me with no Sim card and completely get away with it. Nobody looked in to this. I even call the president of boost mobile. I want justice this is unfair and mean to do this to a client that been with boost 20 years. Please pass this message and Stay away from Boost Mobile. I never got anything solved and they tried to break in to my accounts again. I called police attorney General no one did a thing. Please take my advice and stay away from this evil organization trust me you won't get any help. If I can stop someone from going thru this that is justice. I'm stuck and don't know what to do about this 😕 please any advice will suffice
I have been with boost mobile for a long time and over the past and now that they contracted with likewise insurance, I am ready to take my services somewhere else due to the insurance company giving bad services and boost mobile is assisting LIKEWISE scam their customers if you see this review, please do not deal with boost mobile try another prepaid phone company they do not repair phones like they use to my phone was sent out for a repair and it too a month and the phone is still defected and boost nor likewise do not have any better solutions for their customers please take your business somewhere else and thank me later. Oh by the way boost insurance went up from $7 to $12 for what this has to be a scam the $7 dollar insurance was way better the $12 insurance is very bad and a rip off pleases save time and do not I repeat do not do business with boost while they contracted with LIKEWISE INSURANCE
It is very difficult to obtain accurate information from customer support. Recently our hotspot stopped working. The first agent told us it was an advanced technical issue and someone would call us back. The next person said that they don't call people back but that we could keep calling to check the progress - of what I don't know. Heading into our 3rd day with no hotspot, we were told that BOOST now applies the first 12 gb of phone use to the hotspot even if it is never turned on. So you lose access even if you never turn it on. And the 4th person told us that it was a problem in our neighborhood! Nobody really knows anything; BOOST really does not care about customers or their experiences. This is only one of several times when BOOST failed to address a problem. Since there are always problems, I urge you to look elsewhere.
WHY DID THIS START...MY BOOST SERVICES WAS JUST FINE for a decade WITHOUT IT! NOW I CAN BARELY USE MY PHONE...A BILL I PAY FOR! This boost diagnostics is HORRIBLE and I am looking for a new cell phone carrier. YOUR SERVICES ARE HORRIBLE ALONG WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE (NO ENGLISH)! I have had enough...! The coverage was not good. Kept dropping calls. Internet was slow, and wouldn't work in areas my last carrier easily was able to service. Their app wasn't too interactive and not as easy to use and navigate. But the worst was their customer service. It took me two separate calls and at least 30 mins to an hour on the phone each time to get them to cancel my account and text me a port code so i could take my phone number back to my old company. The last girl actually found it funny that she was wasting my time by not texting me my port code and instead kept trying to offer me stupid "deals" to stay with them. After i told her i would never stay with them due to the issues listed above. But that didn't stop either of the CSR from wasting my time.
2 months after i had canceled my account, they attempted to charge my credit card. Luckily my citibank fraud dept noticed it and blocked it. The charge was over a thousand and i have no idea what it was as my account was canceled and i have no access to it.

Terrible customer service. I have ordered online the new iPhone with their service. It said that I should get a tracking number within 24 hours and they will ship it within 72 hours. The order was on November 14. On November 18, I chatted with them on their website. I asked the whereabouts of my order. The agent told me that the order is still in progress, that I need 3 business days to get the tracking number, and that it will arrive by the end of tomorrow. So, I asked her if I would receive it by November 20, and she confirmed.
Of course, by November 20, I did not receive anything, so I chatted on their website again. The agent repeated to me the same thing that the order is in progress. So, I asked her to cancel it. She said she cannot cancel in progress orders. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor did not arrive after 10 minute wait.
On November 22, I received the tracking number, and on November 25 I got the new iPhone by UPS. Again, I chatted with them to cancel it. The agent processed the refund, said that I will receive the email with instructions, and that I have to pay for the shipment back. I tried to explain, that I received the phone because of their negligence and should not pay for return shipment. Of course, she was saying no, so I asked for a supervisor. While I was waiting for supervisor, I saw the email, and it had a prepaid shipping label attached to it. Amazing, isn't it? I chatted to the agent how can they be so incompetent. She said that I should choose my words better and keep it professional. Well, I said yes, let me still talk to your supervisor about professionalism.
The supervisor started that I have to pay for the shipping. After I told him that I already have a shipping label, he goes: "Oh, then yes, we will be paying for it". They lost a customer because of their incompetence and negligence, Avoid that company.
The activation process was long and annoying. Half the people I spoke to on the phone didn't understand what I was saying. Then I ended finding out that the coverage in my area wasn't actually good which is not what I was told in store. They refused to tell me what cell towers they used and wanted me to download dish app. All it did was prevent me from calling and texting so I removed it. Then they told me to reset my network. Still didn't help. Then all of a sudden "there's something wrong with my phone" nope. You just have terrible coverage and idiot employees. Never again
If you're looking up reviews on Boost mobile and or the comparison statistics for Boost vs any other company, you will be mislead! Boost mobile service as far as reception on your phone, terrible. I've had quite a few plans with different companies, and aside from the government offered companies, Boost has by far been the worst on reception and up front honesty on phone plans. Take what you want out of this review, but you can only ACTUALLY go by personal experience. Since I've switched to Boost mobile, my personal experience, with my iphone15 and Boost's reception, is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! Not to mention the misleading information I was regally given to get me to switch companies. They're all a bunch of frauds and should be held accountable.
They do not have the phones they sell in stock to ship out within a good time frame! It takes them at least a week to even ship, even though they took the money from my account! What the heck? Phone service is good. Their customer service people suck too, even supposed supervicer. What the heck. Phones bought and paid for in total or payment they have for them should be able to ship within 24 hours for a big company like them. Seems like they have to order it, then ship to the custer!
I called boost mobile to set up service for 2 lines they ran my credit and said i was approved for financing on 2 phones which me and my husband picked out they sent me a service agreement to my email and i signed and sent back like I was informed to do and paid the 90$ fee for the phones I was told that my phones would be shipped and received within 3 days. Me and my husband were excited and eagerly waiting for our phones to arrive I checked my email daily for any updates and nothing so I called boost customer service and was informed that my order was canceled and that they were no longer able to go through with my order and I would have to go into a boost store and purchase a phone through them if i still wanted to proceed with their service. I asked what the issue was and was told they would not give me any more info than that I asked to talk to a person I charge or hire up and they informed me there was no one. First of all, I am mad that they canceled my order and didn't bother to send me an email or text to let me know so me and my husband were excited and waiting for nothing secondly, I think is very unprofessional and rude how I was misled by this company like I was I would give 0 stars if i could boost
You guys should seriously be ashamed of yourself I seriously have never felt so offended by a company boost mobile needs to get a better and more organized customer service team because the way you treat your customers is horrible and very unprofessional to say the least

I went almost 2 months ago and bought the RZR prime flip phone. I woke up the other day and there was a black dot running up the screen.
Called boost and they sent me to Motorola who has done nothing but try to charge me money to either fix or replace the phone.
I'm beyond frustrated with this service already and have only had it since April.

I have reported to customer care about my phone being damaged and they keep telling me to call the insurance they work with its been about 2 weeks and states I dont qualify for a new phone.
Anytime you call customer service they connect you with a foreign country and you have a language barrier problem in addition to your original problem. They're really bad at helping you with anything.
DO NOT USE BOOST MOBILE! They deducted money from me WITHOUT permission for months and will not refund the lousy $200. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS unfortunately
TERRIBLE! Service was fine for a couple weeks then the connection got so bad that people couldn't hear me and vice-versa; then the phone wouldn't accept my password (my guess because of the poor reception in the middle of Dallas!) and it LOCKED ME OUT over and over again until it was permanent and the Boost rep told me it was a problem with the iPhone 15 itself. After 1.5 hours of double- and triple-troubleshooting at the Apple store, they said the phone wasn't the problem. Of course, by now I'm past my 30-day return period and all Boost kept tell me was that the 30-day window to return had passed. BTW this is my first ever bad review for any business or product. To ID my # is: *******729 but, of course, it doesn't work.
