I just became a rewards member and I was still on the road so I wanted to book with holiday inn express again rather than any other choices out there! I wanted to go easy..
Initially I needed to book two nights in Iowa City for U of I hospital appointments. We have been staying at Home2 By Hilton Coralville previously. However they were fully booked due to game weekend. The clerk there recommended Homewood Suites. I gave them a call and they too were fully booked, the clerk checked on availability at another hotel and found a room for our two night stay! He was courteous, professional and super helpful! We're so thankful for his willingness to meet our needs!
Karla was helpful, kind, considerate and efficient. She even detected in my voice that I was exhausted and asked me if I'm ok. She is top notch.

Flight came un late so we missed connecting flight. Needed a room for the night. Called. Booked. Showed up at hotel and they tell me my reservation is for a check in a 3pm. I had to cancel and rebook at desk.
This assistant was not truthful with the hotel rate and policy. She advised me that this was the best rate and that the hotel would be able to honour my corporate rate I have with my company. Not true! She took my payment, up charged me more than the hotel was actually charging and the front desk could not do anything. Horrible experience! Customer service is awful
We had specifically asked about there being a hot tub & was told yes. When we checked in there is NO hot tub at this hotel. The room was very comfortable. Had the continental breakfast & back to our room. My husband fell asleep -front desk extended our checkout time an hour so not to disturb him, when I asked😀

Jerry was fabulous. I had to book a hotel for my son that broke down and needed his car towed and this hotel was the closest. Jerry made the process seamless and was very kind and compassionate about our situation.
Diego angel explained me I would pay for hotel and when I got here at check in I would receive a 25% discount. On my chuck in I was told because this is a 3rd party i couldn't get any discount. What a scam!
I asked when the phone was answered if this was Holiday Inn I was told this is the official booking agent for this hotel. I said there was a block of rooms for a wedding I was attending was told could not find it. Asked about my IHG points was told I will get all my perks. BS. I called my cousin who informed me that yes there was a block of rooms for the wedding that were $100 LESS PER NIGHT THAN YOU SAID. You use semantics to justify yourself. You are a fraud. Funny, I called the hotel direct to check in something this morning and asked about the wedding discount. I told them about your fraudulent assurance that you were in fact the designated booking agent for the hotel. Just so you are aware. They transferred me to IHG. They took my number and a member from their fraud department and their legal department were very interested in what you said, and the fact you are presenting yourself as the hotel itself. They took all the information and have opened an investigation into your business. I expect a full refund. I don't do business with liars and thieves. My credit card has been flagged for fraud and cancelled per their legal department's recommendation.
I had to book 3 rooms as we will be in town for a funeral. Agent was very helpful and made this experience a lot easier than expected.

She also ran my card before I confirmed if I wanted reservation protection or not. And now she won't give me a refund.

I was on the phone for 40 minutes and requested 1 room with a queen bed and 1 room with king bed. And she blocked 2 rooms with queen bed! I am trying to correct it and it's a long wait on the phone! My time is very valuable! Please have it completed and let me know!
