Horrible experience. Do not use!

I asked for a hotel of quality similar to a Hilton and was told that the room reserved for me was of similar quality and that it was clean and a very nice hotel. I also asked if the agent was from a booking agency and he replied no which was totally false. Since the hotel was so poor, I tried to get a refund and was told that I could not because it was booked through an Expedia type agency. I will now spend a sleepless night here.

Booking hotel room

He talked so fast I had to ask him to slow down to understand him. He said we had a room with a king bed, no smoking. When we got to the hotel they showed we had a room with 2 double beds and smoking. He told me the room was $56 plus fees and tax and he took $86 plus over the phone and we had to pay another $75 to get a room with a king bed when we checked in.
I will be sure to go out of my way to call any hotel directly in the future and give Expedia a bad reference.
This is a rip off

Deceitful rip off

I was quoted for a room at best Western with two queen size beds. When we got to the facility, we were informed that they had no queen size beds they had doubles. We were charged nearly $154 for a room for which we were quoted Roughly $98 at the front desk.

Wonderful experience!

Esteban (Steven) was very accommodating and pleasant. He helped us book a room at the Aliante quickly, explaining everything about the room, resort fees and cancellation policy. He's a polite and respectful man! Thank you for making it easy for us seniors!

Cancel reservation

Hello, I made a reservation with "Julian's" help at the Tru by Hilton in Chapel Hill NC *******. The reservation was made on Nov. 13,2025. For Nov. 26-28. Unfortunately I have to cancel it. Julian was so helpful at the time, I hope that he can be as helpful now. The itinerary number is H******* and the charges were for $307.07. It has not cleared the bank yet. I understand that there is a penalty fee

AWESOME SERVICE by Alyssa Mae!

I've been trying to decipher the website and finding the same info on every room booking offer.
Very poor website, so I called in direct to the reservations call center, and Alyssa Mae was able to not only answer all of my questions and confusion, but also suggest better options to fit my needs and expectations.
I was about to find another hotel, but Alyssa made everything perfect and so easy.
AWESOME!

Con men at work

Very deceptive and misleading. Thought I was on official site for best western. When I asked directly about this it was neither confirmed or denied. Ended up paying about $40.00 more than official site. Non cancellable and non refundable. You are CON MEN, DISGUSTING!

That was difficult

Called to make a reservation for my mother. Agent wasn't fluent in English and we had to repeat things. He also didn't offer the possibility of discounts for my 89 year old mother. Called for our own reservation after and that agent immediately offered AAA or senior discount. Can we get the discount applied now? Jacquelyn Duemling.

My Marriott experience

Mira made the reservation process pain free. It was a quick process, very easy. Although there was an issue with my credit card, Mira was able resolve the issue with little or no difficulty. Mira is an asset to Marriott family. It is employees like her that will make me return to Marriott for future stays!

Scam artists

Terrible…. Thought I was booking directly with the front desk of the hotel but instead it was Priceline from a different country. They screwed up our room, couldn't cancel the reservation. There fraudulent control over the hotel website is misleading as hell. I will be posting this on social media and contacting Holiday Inn corporate

Misinformation

When making my reservation I asked if parking was free and I was told YES but upon arrival there was a charge for parking. Front desk person didn't care that we were told over the phone that parking was free and was very dismissive.

I just wish we weren't lied to.

Lastly, upon check out a printed total bill for the room was not provided even when we asked for it.

Bad customer service and we won't stay here again.
