The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

Booked flights. Tried to change one leg of four. They ended up cancelling a different leg. 4 hrs on phone. No resolution. Just awful
Very horrible experience which is against the ethics of hospitality. The staff are not ready to help instead thy force you against your will and are just money conscious. If there was half star I would willingly give
Dont use, advertise a discounted price with account but wont let you complete the reservation, very misleading
Booking.com not guarantee the reservation prices. Booking.com increased prices on reservation while the hotels increased price based on their availability. My booking in Dubai increased 2 times on prices just 2 days after the reservation. Reservation w/ Booking.com is scam! Booking.com is con!
They canceled my reservation after driving 9and a half hours to are hotel don't ever book on there site just horrible
Is hard to contact with their customer service. No response or ending the chart by customer service side without a response. Terrible company.
Do not book with bookings.com. It's all bait and switch they lie they take your money and promise you things that they do not deliver.
If I had a choice to choose something less than a single star I would have chosen it. They are the worst. They pick the cheapest flights which do not have any baggage allowance and as you check it the airline company charge you for your seats. The also do not refund your money when your flight is cancelled. I will never use them again.
Arrived at my vacation rental and couldn't access it. Spent 3.5 hours and multiple calls with Booking.com in105-degree Texas heat out in the middle of nowhere only to be told there was nothing they could do. By this time, over $75 worth of food was spoiled, I was stranded with no place to go and no internet. My daughter was able to find another property for me, but it was 45 minutes away from where I needed to be, did not have water access or several other amenities I had requested in my initial reservation. Booking.com had told me they would pay the difference for an alternative property, but after submitting all the paperwork at least 10 times, I've gotten nothing more than lies, excuses, and rudeness Their customer service is horrible! And they show absolutely no care or concern for all that I went through being stranded like that, nor for all the additional costs incurred. They were quick to say it wasn't their fault, but it was -- Booking.com didn't even have a contract to list the property. When I mentioned that, they actually finally admitted that, but made no attempt to compensate me for all the costs. Will NEVER use booking.com again!
Here is what they don't tell you--you book through them, and the hotel sees you as an inferior guest. Our hotel, Holiday Inn Express in Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin, had multiple issues--TV not working, a refrigerator without visible controls that froze and exploded food and canned soda. A desk clerk promised us a discount for our trouble, but upon checkout, we found out that since we booked through a third-party site, and they already had our money, we were SOL. The hotel did not respond to a nicely worded and thorough email, so what might have been a four or five-star review, had they addressed the issues or at least answered us, became one star. Same to Booking.com. There appears to be NO WAY to warn other guests about this practice. Basically you are buying a pig in a poke, to use an old-fashioned expression that means you pay up front and HOPE you get your money's worth.
Asked a refund for a cancellation flight. Got the mail, called several times the customer service. Was assured being refund in two weeks. We are at almost 7 months. Now they don't reply anymore. And they have the courage to advertise trough all mass media?
I have had the worse experience booking my vacation thru this company. They have awful customer service and don't take responsibility if something goes wrong, they don't want to assume it and will blending the other part. Don't ever make business with this company, they are they worse.
Support equals non support. The still owe us a refund from a site that one hour before we arrived sent a text saying they would not accommodate our visit. Booking.com has offered zero help!

Use Booking.com at YOUR OWN RISK
I called to cancel a flight three times on May 8, within 24 hours of booking. Two booking.com agents said the tickets were non-refundable, even for same day booking. Another agent said the tickets cost 45 euros to cancel for same day booking. All calls are recorded.
I called TapPortugal airline directly and they informed me that the same day cancellation is fully refundable with booking.com. I called booking.com back and the agent still told me that the tickets were non-refundable after I repeated what TapPortugal airline told me.
I investigated further and called booking once again on July 14th, after returning from travels. The booking.com agent said that the tickets are fully refundable on same-day booking. The agent apologized for the mistakes on booking.com's end, marked the case urgent and escalated the issue to the management team. The agent said that I need to wait 24-48 hours for it to resolve and I would receive an email from booking.com. I never received an email and nobody called me back.
Today is July 19th, and I have waited more than 100 hours. I just finished my 11th call with booking.com and I am still not refunded, nor given a written apology from booking.com. This morning, I received a foreign call from London (*******390) who said that he is a booking.com agent and he couldn't cancel the flights because they are non-refundable. I told him that I have verified with the airline and multiple booking.com agents that the tickets were fully-refundable on same day cancellation and I keep a recording of evidence. He hung up on me after hearing this and never called back.
This is an awful experience for any booking.com travelers. I've been a loyal user of booking.com and I am disappointed after I have gone through all the process of customer support, I am still not refunded or apologized to. I have invested more than 5 hours trying to cancel flights. This is a mistake from booking.com, I should not be going through all the trouble to correct your mistake.
Booking.com is doing business with this vendor thus: exposing travelers to accommodations like this.https :// www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/detroit-city/2021/03/01/detroit-police-shoot-cincinnati-man-suspected-killing-wife-3-others/*******002
Booking.com is the absolute worst site to book your hotel accomodations. I had a problem with one of the properties on their site and it took 3 months to get a refund. I called them over 5 times and everytime they told me 12 to 15 days and then it would never come. I spoke to a senior agent who said I wasn't due a refund. Then when I asked to speak to someone above her, of course she states there was no one. I hung up on her and called right back and a regular rep helped me get my refund! This company sucks! Try Trivago!
Mean spirited, heartless company
Even though the booking is 2 weeks away, booking.com won't refund our payment even though we have supporting evidence of a heart attack and can't travel. Mean spirited, miserable, rotten company. Don't use them.
Wouldn't accept the dates i chose on the calendar; it clicked the day before and wouldnt let me edit. Ended up calling the hotel and making a new reso and cancelling my Booking.com one because there was no other alternative. Overall, totally not dependable as a service and will not use again.
Booked a hotel advertising free parking and arrived to find I had no parking so cancelled with agreement from hotel there would be no charge but they did charge me. Booking.com.com no help at all and hotel is still on their site advertising parking.
Do not use this platform! Been lied to several times. False promises. Contradicting conversations and agreements from every single employee I've spoken with. Hung up on several times. Been told to calm down by managers as I simply explained the issue. Been brought to tears with the rude staff and lack of willingness to listen or do anything. While crying was told to calm down again. Often the tone was accusatory as if the system errors they were experiencing to not let me leave a review were my fault. No replies to emails or follow ups as promised by employees. Taken over a month to come to the conclusion that booking.com won't do anything, not even let me leave a review (breaking my consumer rights) after having brought the accommodation to court (winning the case) and them just ignoring court rulings. They do not care of your experience, all they care is that they've got your money and nothing you do or that happens will convince them otherwise. Worst customer service I've ever experienced!
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
