I recently ordered a carburetor for a Honda 3813 riding mower. This is an old mower for which parts are very hard to find. They had the part and it was 50.00 cheaper than any place else. Ordered it. It came quickly and was an OEM Honda part in new package. Worked fine. Had to adjust the fuel mixture. But, that was to be expected. I have ordered from them before and have not had any problems. Good company to deal with.
I bought some parts from you that you said you had in stock at the time of purchase. You took my payment and days later you tell me that you don't have all the parts you promised and that I paid for. Had I known at the time I could have bought the parts elsewhere. Now you tell me well after the fact that I will have to wait an extra two weeks to get the parts you told me you had. Not a good way to do business, not if you expect repeat business?

We stock over 100,000 parts and we are 100% genuine about our stock availability. We never "bend the truth" about what we have in the warehouse. If the part says "in stock" we have it. That doesn't mean someone else isn't in the process of ordering it, though... We've shipped over 4 million orders and parts do go fast. On occasion we do have to order something from the manufacturer (we carry over 1.5 million unique parts) -- but we will never say "in stock" if it's an instance where the part needs to be ordered. If your part says "ships in 1-2 days" that's how you know that we need to order it from the manufacturer. Since we are a certified dealer, we usually receive parts in 1-2 days, and then the shipping transit time begins. I am happy to look into your order to better understand your circumstances. Pleased First time I ordered from this vendor and ordering was very simple and price was very competitive. Ordered a 20HP Mercury Outboard on 3/28, motor was received on 4/2; hard to beat that kind of service. Motor received in perfect condition and runs great.

I had placed 3 orders for generator parts. Boats.net no one can beat them on prices BUT they only sent 1 order and the other 2 orders are still pending after 23 days. When I placed my orders some parts were listed to be delivered within 2-3 days. I also told them to send the parts that they have in stock but nobody give a dam of what I wrote.
Customer care is the worst I ever experienced.

Thank you for providing this feedback, and for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Let's make this right! I am going to send you a direct message to get your order number. From there, I will look into your account to see what's going on with your backordered generator parts, and if possible I will issue a split-shipping request to get your in-stock parts to you as quickly as possible. The main issue with ordering any Genuine Original Manufacturer parts is that they are so make/model specific it's impossible to stock all one million-plus parts for everyone's unique machine. So if you see "2-3 days" on the website, that means -- if the manufacturer has the part in stock -- we can get that baby to you in 2-3 days. But this is an estimation that applies to 99% of orders. It usually takes just a day to get the part, but on rare occasions the manufacturer might create a delay like this and it makes for a frustrating experience for the 1%. Unfortunately, the manufacturer won't update us regarding stock availability until AFTER we place the order. I wish there were a network with this information, but there simply is not. In this case, any OEM part provider you would have dealt with (local or online) would have come up against this same part delay getting the order fulfilled from the manufacturer. This is our least favorite part of dealing with OEM parts, and we are very sorry for the inconvenience.
