Shipping updates

I have been ordering parts from Boats.net since 2017. Usually get the parts in 1-2 weeks.
They do a great job of emailing me updates as to when my orders will ship. Pricing is lower than other sources.

Everything is pretty simple to use and most Everything is up to date.
Only needs a place to plug in serial numbers or model numbers to bring up parts diagrams faster.

Dealer problems
December 18, 2020

I am a dealer of two brands of outboard motors. When I need parts for other brands, such as Yamaha, I like to use OEM parts instead of aftermarket. In July I ordered water pumps parts and received something entirely different than what I ordered. The paperwork was correct but the parts were wrong. After 2 calls and 2 emails I still have not gotten any satisfaction to my claim. The first call I was 158 on hold, the second time number 75, as a business owner I can't stay on hold for hours! I did receive an email back questioning my problem but to no avail. I realize Covid has screwed up our entire lives and world, but I would like to get my money back for these wrong parts.

Waiting game

First off I repair outboards for a living and I buy a lot of parts from boats.net This last time I ordered parts some were not in stock. They promised to ship out as soon as they can. I always pay for Express shipping. My first part of the shipment arrived by my local post office. I didht pay for USPS I paid for ups.
Then when my second shipment came there was supposed to be 3 parts in the box. What I got was 2 parts and an empty parts bag with the part number on the bag but no part. Needless to say I was pissee. Been waiting 2 weeks and all I got was an empty parts bag. It wouldn't of been so bad if they forgot or whatever but a Human Being had to of physically put an Empty parts bag in the box! What kind of morons do they have putting parts in boxes? I am not a happy camper. Time to find another on line parts place!

I was very specific to identify the year by the model number on my motor.And was sent completely wrong parts for a motor 10 years newer than my motor. Brought them down to Mexico and can not do the maintenance necessary due to the terrible customer service, and complete incompance of boats.net. A good friend in this area of Mexico had the same experience.

Always the best pricing on OEM parts. I previously owned a small repair shop and had several vendors to buy from. When I retired and sold out I needed a place to purchase parts. I don't work on many motors anymore but I can look up just about anything I need very quickly on their website.

Nice people...

Staff is very helpful on the phone and the website parts diagrams are great. Shipping isnt very efficient. Was slow and delayed from the stated tracking arrival. For less money USPS could have it to me in 3 days instead of the 8 days it took UPS...

Not just for my Yamaha and Honda outboard motors. I order parts for my honda power equipment also, riding mowers and generators. Prices can't be beat. (As long as you buy enough to justify shipping cost or get free shipping). If you need ASAP buy locally. If you can wait a few days you will save some serious dough with these guys! And I love the exploded parts diagrams. (I was solicited to provide this review. I was not compensated. I've been a customer for years)

Ordered what I thought was 4 bellows ground clips. The listing states 4@. I received one clip today. Customer service states that their description of 4@ is the way they receive the clips. I said the should change your description asap. Won't order from them again!
