The Clymer YAMAHA Outboard Shop Manual for 2-225 HP Two-Stroke- 1984-1989 makes me more confident that I will be able to keep my Yamaha 8 hp 1998 outboard running for many more years.
As an octogenarian this outboard will undoubtably out last me.

I ordered parts that our local boat dealers did not have or stock for a Honda 150 4 stroke. Minor parts, I would think but nobody in the Commonwealth of Virginia had what I needed for a 12 inch water line. Boats.net had all of the parts, ordered and received within 4 or 5 days. Great service and a fantastic variety for inventory. Will definitely go to Boats.net for parts next time and not the local dealers.

"I needed a lower unit on my 2014 Yamaha F90LA. It seems these were on a nation wide back order. However, Boats.net had seven listed on their website at the normal retail price. Information on the Boats.net website indicated they would price match other retailers. I called and spoke to Will. I gave him the web address of a retailer that offered the lower unit at a significant discount. Will looked up the item and matched the price! And because the item was over $149, it qualified for free shipping. This was ordered on a Thursday and by Friday I had a tracking number with a UPS scheduled delivery for the following Tuesday. If UPS delivers, I'll be back on the water long before the Dec 24 back order date. Thanks Will and the rest of the Boats.net people." - - UPDATE - - I installed the lower unit without any problems; twas a perfect fit. I checked the oil reserve and it was full. I topped it off and down the bayou I went. Smooth, easy shifting, and good pee stream. This will be my ‘go to' shop for anything I can't get locally.

Needed new Honda specific hardware to make repairs and found the local and online Honda dealers wanted an arm and leg for them plus there was a wait period. I found Boat.net on line and was glad I did. They had the exact Honda parts (came in factory Honda plastic bags), for a lot less money plus they had them

First of all the parts I have purchased have been received very quickly. This important as they are sent first to Miami and then through a broker to the country of Panama. A delay by Boats, net means I am without my boat for weeks. My boat is our only source of transportation. When I am looking for parts online I really like the way Boats.net is setup.
