Orderd two Evenrude low pressure fuel pumps and they never showed up. So, a month later I got ahold of customer support And they told me they were on back order which I had no idea when I ordered it and that they should be Getting them in soon. 2 months after that I contacted their online text support and initially got a response, but when they asked for my order number I gave it to them and they said one moment that they were checking into it. I waited and waited and never received a response back. So I called customer support. They answered relatively soon and I received great customer service. They told me it was on back order and didn't know when it would be available, so I went ahead and canceled the order this time. My boat's been out of commission for 3 months.
When I ordered at the beginning it was supposedly an in stock item. Had I been told it was on back order I would have purchased elsewhere Instead of wasting my time. I know products and shipping are crazy right now but I would appreciate a little more communication and honesty up front. And their text support is a joke. After I canceled the order I let the text support know it was taken care of and immediately got a response back, ok thanks for contacting text support! Agent has left the chat!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I placed a small order ( less than $100.00) last September and it took until almost November to receive. I informed them I lived in Ontario Canada and my boat was in New Brunswick Canada and would not be able to try the parts until this summer. When I tried the ignition key it did not work, turns out they shipped the wrong key and now tell me I would have to buy another key and only offered a small discount on shipping. Losing a customer over a $18.00 part that they screwed up on in the first place.

You order parts and fluids, everything says it is available. One or two days later, you get an email saying they don't have it, but they will soon. When that date passes, you get another email saying they don't have it and can't get it. This is not a one-time occurrence.

Pathetic

A month. A whole month before admitting what they sold me (bought and paid for), couldn't be shipped to Canada. And that only after I asked them for tracking... for all I know had I not written they would never have addressed the issue. Utter failure IMHO and paramount to unethical business practices.

Order Finally Received as Requested

Ordered oil change kit for my Yamaha outboard on 06/24/2022. Kit did not arrive until 07/08/2022. Item was shown to be in stock at the time order was placed, but was actually on back order from the supplier. Boats.net normally ships out next day (delivered here in Texas within 1 week), so it would have helped if availability had been accurate on the website. Phone help was not realistic with 1 hour+ wait times. Finally received news on back order via email.

I placed and order on their website and every part I ordered was listed as "In stock - ships within 24 hours" I even paid for expedited shipping because I needed the parts asap. I finally get an email a few days later with an order number but no shipping info. I go back to the website to check the status and it lists one of the items as now being available 3 weeks later. I was able to order that part from another supplier so I try to call at 3pm to cancel just that part so my order can ship asap and I get a message that the phones are turned off for the day because they are too busy. (huge red flag) I call back first thing next morning and get another message that I am # 61 in line and my wait time on hold is an hour and a half. (really?) I then just try to send and email to try and cancel the one part (again so my order can actually ship) and it takes 3 days to get a reply which states... the part I wanted to cancel has just arrived but one of the other parts I ordered is all of a sudden on back order now. I finally just canceled the entire order and found a more reputable supplier for parts. The customer service from this place is so unacceptable... I wish I read some of the reviews before I ordered from here. Do your self a favor and find another place to get your parts.

Horrible Experience

I ordered a filter from their website; there was no indication that the item was not in stock. One month later, and the item has not been shipped. They did, however, immediately charge my credit card. I have called to request a refund but either get a message that "they have shut off their phones for the day" or get an automated message that "I am #59 in the queue and should expect a 1 hour 10 minute wait time". Email, of course, are not responded to. Save yourself the frustration of being ripped off; buy your stuff elsewhere.

Selling items not Available

Ordered 3 different items. When items where placed into cart. 1 item stated in stock and available. 2nd item stated 2 to 3 days and 3rd item stated 2 to 3 days.
After trying calling the customer help lines around 200pm they were shutdown do to the volume of calls. And stated to call at 800am. The next day they were moving to a new warehouse. Attempted to use the on line customer chat. Shutdown. After calling at 830am again to the following day and waiting 3 hour for a customer service representative. I was able to found out what the status of my order. Representative stated that they were moving to a larger warehouse and that they would have better control on the item stock. No items were available and not sure when they would ship. At that time I canceled the order. Now today is July 13t and I place the order on July 8th. Representative stated the refund will take 8 to 10 day. The first and last time I will use this company.

Avoid this site! They take your money when the parts are not available. Paid for expedited shipping, they kept delaying my order. When I emailed them this was the actual email reply...
Due to a high influx of customer phone calls and to make sure that we handle all customer requests by the end of the day, we have temporarily closed for the day. If you have an urgent issue, our live chat team is available until 7 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. If your issue isn't urgent, you can email us or message us on Facebook and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. You can also visit our website to find the parts that you need and to check the status of your order.
When you chat with them they do not reply, EVER! You may get lucky and get a part from them but read the reviews the majority of people get ripped off! For two weeks I have been waiting for my IN STOCK item to ship. Also this site looks JUST LIKE another site that DOES THE SAME THING! Beware! Whoever runs this is NOT legit!

Poor service

Ordered parts from boats.net, fortunately the part I need the most was in stock. I paid $20 for expedited shipping for two $7 parts that could have been put into a envelope and mailed priority mail and received in two days. NInstead the parts were shipped in a box and it took two week. The phone number on the web site, *******367 is incorrect and I waited 20 minutes on the live chat and gave up. Worst experience very orderings parts, never again!

No parts

Ordered a small part for my boat motor. Said in stock available for shipment. Immediately took funds from my account. 2 weeks latter and no response from email, no phone number to call and no part! Emailed multiple times. No response. Looks like I'm not the only one with this issue.

We ordered some parts and paid extra for expedited shipping and it said it was available. We finally got our order 2 weeks later after we canceled it and they sent it anyway. Also we had to buy it from another company and pay three times the shipping to get it here in time for our boat for the weekend.

Very Slow to Ship
June 30, 2022

Holy cow. I ordered some fuel filters and a new propeller for my Yamaha 150 and when I placed the order, everything was listed as "in stock". 2 weeks later, the fuel/water filters was listed to be back in stock on the 27th, while the other items were still listed in stock. Now a week later (the 30th), everything is listed back in stock on the 27th. Nothing was ever shipped. I tried calling, but that is a whole new aggravating ordeal as the wait time was 2 hrs. This whole process has been a pain in the rump and I won't be ordering anything else from boats.net.

Ordered a part that the website said was in stock, paid for expedited shipping. My card was charged immediately! Its been over a month and I have tried every option to contact this company, No one answers the phone, live chat no reply. Even after hours on hold. So I have no way to cancel my order.

Tohatsu Remplacement Parts

I came across Boats.net while searching the internet for a replacement cowl for my 2006 Tohatsu outboard motor. It was an easy process to locate the cowl and place the order. I also ordered a new gasket for the cowl that I actually didn't need. Upon a test run of the motor, I realized that the internal gas tank was damaged, so I put in a second order for it. The cowl and the gas tank both came in a timely manner. I also returned the gasket for a full refund.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Boats.net in the future. Fair prices, great customer service and timely delivery.

If you need anything nautical, it's Boats.net! I was searching for a part and not only was I able to have an online chat, they steered me (see what I did there?) to the exact parts I needed to get my pontoon seaworthy again! I could even send pics to be sure. Love this site and all who run it!

I have used Boats.Net for several years. I have never had an issue with wrong items being shipped. Prices are fair and if I need to call there are knowledgable people answering the phone. If anything is delayed they do a great job of communicating.

Every time I've used Boats.net I've had a positive experience. From jet ski parts to outboard parts, all have been good. Boats.net delivers high quality OEM and aftermarket parts on time and if there is ever an issue they will tell you in a timely manner.
