Slow shipping
January 16, 2024

When I pay for priority shipping, I expected it to come UPS or FedEx not USPS. If I cannot get parts in a timely fashion, I cannot do business with you people.

Expedited shipping may ship with various carriers depending on who says they can deliver the package the soonest in your area. We are sorry to hear the package took longer than expected. As a courtesy, we have refunded your shipping. If you need additional assistance, please let us know.

Needed to get an OEM part for my older Yamaha 70 outboard. After 2 attempts on Amazon I gave up and luckily found Boats.net. They had the exact part and reasonable shipping. I received the part in under a week and was able to get my problem solved.

Reliable as usual
January 12, 2024

Needed a part for my 2015 Merc 150 and boats.net has it as usual. So far, they have had every OE part I've needed and when ordered is shipped almost immediately and arriving in days. I really appreciate the logistics effort from boats.net. It allows folks like me who plows through junk on the water to keep thier motor running.

Extremely slow shipping. Paid for expedited shipping. UPS picks up the shipment and takes to mail innovations where it will take several days or weeks for delivery.

We do apologize for any carrier delays at this time. Please be advised with standard shipping, packages are typically shipped UPS Mail Innovations. UPS will pick the package up our location and once it's closer to the destination, the package will be handed off to USPS and can take 7-10 business days to be delivered. Ordered cover latch for one of my boats and almost a month later parts
Haven't been delivered, so I can not use boat. Called about this 10 days after order was placed and was told parts not in stock initially but were ordered and shipped. Well, I still don't have the parts.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please be advised if an item is not in stock, we typically receive the part from the manufacturer within 3-5 business days. However, the original package appeared to be lost in transit with the carrier and we processed a replacement order which showed to delivered on 11/27/23. We hope to do more business with you in the future.

Dishonest
September 10, 2023

They lie and say they have product that they don't have. I contacted to ask why it wasn't shipped and they said they are awaiting if from the manufacturer even though they said they had it available. Then they lie about the availability date and when you call them out they give nothing of value and still haven't sent the product that was paid for.

We apologize for the less than satisfactory experience you had with us. We strive to make sure all of our inventory counts are accurate; however mistakes do happen from time to time.
Unfortunately there is no way currently to link our system to the manufacturer, therefore, all ETAs displayed are best estimates, based on average time it takes for parts to arrive to our distribution center. Once we place the order with the manufacturer and receive updates, we send those out via email.

I order a part on their website (Boats.net) that says it was in stock only to find out it was not in stock.
I called mercury cruiser prior to ordering this item who told me this item was in stock on their shelf. I called a boats.net a couple of days later to find out that it was not in stock and it would be till the 24th of this month to get it then ship the item which I agreed to. Well its the 25th and i called mercury cruiser who has over 200 of these in stock and boats.net has a new ETA of Sept 6 then ship it to me. Well boating is over by then. They could not give me a solid answer that it was even on order with Mercury cruiser who states they ship in 7-10 business days. I am really disappointed and wish I would have gotten it somewhere else. I cancelled the order and won't be visiting there again. Super disappointed.

Poor service
August 1, 2023

Almost a month ago we ordered a prop for our boat. We paid for faster shipping. A few days went by and we were told it's back ordered. When I asked why it didn't say not in stock I was told there wasn't a green check next to it. We waited almost a month. The prop finally shipped. For some reason ups returned it to them this morning and they issued a refund and told me our prop went out to fill another order. We don't know why it was returned.
Horrible not caring service. I would never trust this company again

False Advertising!
June 20, 2023

I ordered a 4 pack of spark plugs and they sent me 1. I called and they told me they list it as a 4 pack on their website and on the invoice because that is how they receive them. Nowhere does it state that it is 1 spark plug. They offered a slightly lower price to purchase the other plugs or a refund. I chose a refund since I can order the plugs anywhere else for less and I don't want to do business with a rude company.
Update: They did refund me the entire amount and didn't want me to ship back the one spark plug. Also they updated their listing to not include the words 4 pack. I am still out a week of fishing while I wait for new spark plugs to show up.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the less than satisfactory experience you had with us. Our descriptions are uploaded from the manufacturers site. Please know@4 is how many we are required to order from the manufacturer to place the order. The part is sold as a quantity of one. Due to our error, you may keep the part and I have processed a full refund back to your account. Please allow 1-3 business days to receive the funds. I do apologize for any inconvenience. We hope to do business with you in the future.

Misleading part number
June 14, 2023

I ordered a Tohatsu propeller based on information from the parts manual on the Boats.net website. The part number implied 4 items included. The product picture just showed a label. I was surprised to receive just a bare prop.

Also, the same part number is used for Nissan with a 13.50 diameter and Tohatsu with a 13.75 diameter. I received the Nissan one.

Untrustworthy...
January 11, 2023

Ordered a jet for a Honda carb, boats.net site showed they had the jet in stock. I order and pay for the item. Two days later I receive an email stating the jet will not be available to ship for 10 days. I text boats.net the following week and tasked if I could cancel the order, they tell me the item has shipped and they can't cancel the order. All the sudden I get an email with a tracking number. Classic, tracking number provided, package not shipped... Glad I only purchased a $6. Jet. Will never order from boats.net. Too had cause I just started a redo on an older boat..

I've purchased quite a few parts from them over the years. The site is pretty easy to navigate but they can be painfully slow to ship and don't have many of the items in stock. Often times once you place the order, you'll get updates stating the arrival of the item they don't have keeps getting pushed back. Not really what you want to hear when you want to get the repair done so you can get back on the water. If you email customer service about it, their response is usually not filled with care or concern. Next time I think I'll look elsewhere.
