"I was one of the earliest customers of bluefly 1n 1999. I bought two Daryl K sweaters, which were very nice, and then a new bedding set. I returned the bedding and they credited my account. The only problem was that I was unable to access the credit, as I could not change my address on the account, nor have them sent to me at my new address. Spent many hours on the phone with them, and still they clung to this ridiculous policy to screw me out of $150. I never shopped with them again, and am still bitter about it 14 years later. Bluefly essentially stole my money, and it appears that, going by other reviews, they are somehow still doing the same to other customers all these years later. How in the world have they stayed in business? This is a horrible, horrible company and I hope they get exactly what they deserve. I hate this company and will always remember that they stole a little chunk of my youthful innocence. Burn, bluefly, because you absolutely suck."
I placed two separate orders from them. First a pair of mezlan shoes. When I got the order I was so excited! I opened the box and almost cried. Lol the shoes were used and scratched. I just couldn't believe it. So then I said let me at least open the 2box which was for a ferragamo belt that I paid over 250 dollars. I was also very excited. Well I opened the box the buckle was tottally tarnished and scratched up. And the tags were not on the belt it had no numbers on the belt I was fuming! I called and said I want to return ASAP. I'm waiting to see if they give me trouble. I will never order from them or recommend anyone they.
I have to say that I am NOT happy with bluefly. I was excited to purchase an item from bluefly because it's always fun to find new stores with quality products at a moderate price point but I am really quite disgusted with this company.
To start, I think it is pretty ludicrous that such a huge company which has a huge shipping account and ships items for most likely less than a few dollars is charging $7.95 for shipping! I purchased a chiffon shirt that was folded up and crammed into a tiny box with a bunch of samples of beauty & feminine care products. Had these items been removed, the shipping could have been less expensive as they wouldn't have needed to ship such a huge box. I didn't order these samples; they should be charging the companies which they are soliciting me with, for the extra cost to ship their crap to me.
I get the shirt and was disappointed. It was much baggier and oversized that what appears on the model. I go to return the item and find that now I can either pay money from my own pocket OR let them take an ADDITIONAL $6.95 to ship the item back! I was disgusted with the original shipping charge, much less, to take ADDITIONAL funds from a customer to even get the product back to your warehouse. I can't handle it!
So. I do use my own shipper to ship the item back via UPS Ground, not the shady USPS shipping which took almost a year (not really... but like a week!). I paid almost $4 to ship the item back and today have received an email from bluefly stating that they have received my return.
I had a feeling that I would be again taken advantage of by bluefly and so I shipped the item using my own shipper. I also had tracking information emailed to me as soon as the package was delivered, etc and I see that my package was delivered on Wednesday, August 7,2013 and signed for by NEUZIL at the DOCK.
Bluefly is now refunding me the purchase price of the shirt MINUS the return shipping which they are taking! They are still taking the $6.95 even though I paid to return the item myself! I will be filing a BBB complaint if I don't receive a full refund in the next 72 hours.

Garbage website and even worse customer service. Ive ordered twice from here and all their products are damaged/ defective usually in some way. I ordered a ferragamo wallet for my girlfriend for her birthday recently (July 19,2013) and it came damaged. Funny thing is when i called, the CSR said that she can completely believe me when I say its damaged and that it would probably be re listed again when i returned it. Sure i got my refund but only after 15 days and i had to call 3 times and yell at CSR. Most frustrating company and harrowing experience. Absolutely crapppp website. Ur better buying from gilt or zappos. This site is GARBAGE
I ordered a dress, which took a full week to get to me which is fine when it's free shipping, but so many other free shipping sites get there much sooner. But when it came rolled up with no tags on it and with deordorant stains and black pen marks on the front, I was totally shocked, not to mention the split seem right down the front. It was like someone that obviously didn't fit into the size 2 dress, squeezed themselves in it, wore it out, returned it and they stuffed it in a bag and shipped it to me. Now, of course, they do not have a new size 2 so am trying a 4 with the stipulation that if it doesn't fit I will not have to pay for the return shipping. We will see how long it takes to get refunded for the other dress and this one to arrive. Will not order from them again, only because I really want this dress and can't find it anywhere else, am I ordering the other size.
I have been a bluefly customer since 2008 and have spent thousands of dollars. I was floored recently when I bought 4 dresses, only 2 of which I kept-and was away on business for a month. It was a month in between when I received the items and when I needed to return them. I was told on the phone that there was a 21 day return policy-and on the site it says 40 days unless otherwise noted. This is completely unfair and a nasty thing to do to customers. Now I am stuck with a couple of hundred dollar dresses that I don't want. The average department store is 30 days-and most stores have a 60 day or 90 day policy. 21 days or even 40 days is just ridiculous. They just lost a customer who spent thousands a year on their site-not impressed at all and will never buy from bluefly again.
I wish I had read some reviews before purchasing from bluefly. First of all, they give you a 25% intro coupon, which was invalid on anything I was interested in purchasing - due to the brand or amount it was already marked down. So definitley read the fine print before getting excited. Secondly, after placing an order for 2 dresses, the transaction was cancelled due to "error with the billing information" - a problem I have never had before, anywhere, ever. The actual "error" was that MY name was listed on the billing address but I was using my HUSBANDS credit card, on an account that we both share. When I called to remedy the situation, customer service was useless and rude. Also, because the transaction was cancelled, the dress is now no longer available. What?! And what they offered in apology was a joke - an express shipping credit. FOr what? A dress I cannot buy? I will not need the credit because I will never be shopping Bluefly again. My original intention was to purchase 2 dresses and return the one I liked least. Now I am concerned about the return process as I have read multiple reviews stating they are slow to refund. I would have given this review 1 star, but they do have nice merchandise, and I'm sure you could get lucky and receive something you like. But, I'm not going to chance it again. There are too many other more reliable options on line, with better customer service.

Well, im very sorry for those of you that had an unfortunate experiance with bluefly, but i ordered a jacket from the website two weeks ago and recieved it within one week. The quality was great and so was the size. Bluefly emailed me a tracking number in which i could track the shipment each step up untill it was delivered to my front door. I just ordered 10 more things which just arrived at my front door about an hour ago. Cant wait to go home and try it all on!
My boots never arrived at my apartment and even though bluefly has received them (they were returned by USPS without ever reaching me), they still havent refunded my money. I've been trying to get a refund for 1.5 months. I'll never buy from bluefly again. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau! Buyer beware!
My transaction went very well. I bought a pair of diamond earrings. Was worried initially, but they kept me informed from moment one as to where we were in the process, the earrings arrived quickly, and they were as described. I have had great compliments regarding the quality of the diamonds, even from the saleslady at De Beers. They even checked on me after the sale to be sure I was happy. I would buy again from them.
Terrible service. Almost like a scam. Paid for a large designer bag but got a small one instead. Sent emails and chatted with reps, but just said they are working on it. I'm losing $500 for nothing because of their mistake. (Never return your wrong items, you will not get any refunds)

And M is rarely available. Wonder why these companies make so many XXL pcs that are always on sale and S/M that are always in short supply
I should have read the horrific reviews about this company before I ordered from Bluefly. I ordered a pair of shoes that seemed to be below cost of what everyone else online was selling it for. I paid with Paypal and after a few days I received a UPS Tracking number. It was then sent through USPS. 5 days later USPS says address UNKNOWN & it is being returned to sender.
I called Bluefly and I explained that it was a confirmed Paypal address and how can it be an address unknown if I received hundreds of packages to that address without any problems. No explanation from them. She said we are sorry but it will take 10 days to process a refund.
It's now June 18,2012 without a refund and after multiple phone calls. Finally after speaking with the same lady with a horse voice (we spoke 3 times before) and threatening them to dispute she finally took action and refunded me.
I cannot believe efforts I had to do, to get a refund from this company. GO ELSWHERE! DISASTER!
Depends on what you buy - the quality of the products are very good and they are all authentic - shipping is a breeze and customer service is excellent. It's a little harder to buy women's clothese due to sizing and fit... but they are very willing to accept returns so as long as you are happy to pay for return shipping, then you should be ok with the site. I love their products and the luxury items they carry...
I bought Celine purse from this website. I was very excited to get my hand on my dream purse... then my purchase arrived. I eagerly opened the box, only to find out that they sent me a fake purse. So fake it's embarrassing to carry. I felt that they insulted my intelligence as a consumer. Do they really think they can get away with sending fake purses? Why would I pay $700 for an ugly imitation purse? They claimed they have authentic product but they don't. Customer service sucks. Don't buy designer items from this website.
Although I love the stellar selection and fantastic prices, the customer service was sub par when I experienced an issue with a purchase.
I received an item I didn't order in place of 2 items I actually ordered. I had to file a dispute to have the items credited because Bluefly determined they were not culpable. I don't know how that is possible considering I received an item I never order, but not the 2 items I did. Anyway it turned out they had similar issues with orders placed by other customers as well. There was some kind of warehouse issue. I was finally credited for the purchase, but I never received the 2 items ordered to wear for a special event- so that really sucked.
I am disappointed I had to escalate the issue to obtain resolution.
Aside from the one awful incident, I have been generally pleased with my purchases on bluefly. I wish I could get past the sour experience and shop there more often because they do offer some fabulous deals.

I have only had two issues since shopping with them starting in 1999, and they resolved my issues without one hundred calls and e-mails. New Review: However, 2/1/19 abruptly closed its doors on Friday, "surprising its own staffers, Employees of the tattered clothing site trudged to work at West 39th Street offices on Friday only to learn that they were locked out of the building, sources told The Post." Bluefly is gone and had been dead since 2017, the company moved into a new office in the Garment District in Manhattan that was half the size of its former 17,000-square-foot headquarters. Now owned by a Chinese manufacturing company the name of which was not even known to company insiders who referred to the chief executive of the firm as "Rainbow," I will never shop with bluefly again. This is why people have had such a hard time with their orders. They are holding the site open saying they will return. STAY AWAY EVERYONE! Since my new review bluelfy site is back up with over priced "sale" items with no phone number to call the company.
