Not even one star! Really bad experiences!
Not even one star! I have make a booking on this Amoma.com and charged my c. Card but when I called to the hotel to make my request they can't find my booking! The hotel site said my booking is not confirmed by Amoma! If u wan to waste ur time n energy, yes pls go ahead to make room reservation wit them!
This being the first time through Amoma, initially though I was a little sceptical but things really went absolutely hassle free. The entire experience starting from booking till checkout was excellent!

Traditional Scottish hotel. Rooms were comfortable but the double was small. Excellent shower in the double, good bath in the twin. Twin room excellent size. Hotel in excellent location, train station was not a problem as did not hear any trains. Bar prices were expensive even for a hotel and ridiculous £2 charge for a ice bucket- never experienced this any where else in this country or abroad. Good choice of breakfast and overall a good hotel if you want central location.

Hotel had booking. Text to say I was arriving late was noted. Hotel clean and tidy no extra charge at hotel to pay.
I planned the weekend in April, thinking that I had a hotel booked through your site. Speaking to your Customer Services, it is clear that, although you took my money, the hotel was never booked. So what was the point in you taking my money. I've also confirmed with the hotel that no booking was made in my name or with my booking reference.
I planned a weekend away with 5 months lead time and booked a hotel with AMOMA. THEY TOOK PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY. 5 DAYS before my weekend away, they informed me that the hotel couldn't honour the booking; a booking which was made 5 MONTHS ago. They offered me an alternative hotel. However, my accommodation in a bombed out building in Shaibah Airfield in Iraq was cleaner than the offered alternative. I have now asked for a full refund!
Do not trust this scam company.
It is very easy and quick to reserve a room. I got a very good price compared to other companies advertising the same hotel.
However, I had a very poor experience with the reservation and with the hotel. I booked a double room in a hotel in Amsterdam. Upon arriving at the hotel I was placed in a room that seemed to belong to an annex of the hotel, located on the first floor without elevator and with very steep stairs. In addition to the middle of the night, at 4.30 in the morning, someone knocked at the door of the room, introduced himself as a hotel employee and informed me that there was a problem with my reservation, having asked for more money. After an hour of trying to resolve the problem with the alleged employee, I went to the reception and the hotel informed me that the person was a stranger. He had robbed me of all the money I had in the room and had to cancel my debit card and id. The hotel refused to call the police and the security of the hotel itself.

My room, location, and comfort with a good price was just what I wanted. I felt safe as well. Will go there again. Was surprised by the need for a security deposit. Didn't like the big picture of a woman's face taking up an entire wall. Senior traveler.

The hotel was reasonably priced at the time and the experience was awesome. The water in the tub didn't get that hot, but overall the room was clean and the view from the seventh floor was breathtaking.

Fabulous deal - junior suite in the Hotel San Luis in S'Algar for 4 nights for under £300. Very happy with that.

Like many people do, I conducted a search on an online search engine to find accommodation in Bruges, Belgium for my baby and myself. A fantastic deal stood out above all the others offering a very impressive discount on a 4 night stay with a boutique hotel (Jan Brito). The agent responsible for the booking was AMOMA.COM. The offer was for bed and breakfast in a twin / double room for 1 adult and 1 infant. I booked the hotel and paid £376. AMOMA sent me a confirmation e-mail confirming what I had booked, which looked as it should.
A couple of days before the remainder of the money was due to be removed from my account, I contacted the hotel direct to make sure they had a cot for the baby to sleep in. To my horror, I discovered via the hotel that although they had a reservation under my name it was only for 1 adult in a single room. They explained that due to health and safety I would not be allowed the baby in the single room and I would therefore need to pay to upgrade my room and pay for the cost of a cot too. I could not afford to do this and I was horrified that what I had booked and paid for was not in fact what I was going to get.
In the 18 days prior to departure, I spent a lot of time going back and forth between the hotel and the agent trying to get the matter resolved. I asked for a refund in full on several occasions because they were unable to resolve the matter. AMOMA kept telling me that Jan Brito were refusing to refund me and the Jan Brito told me that AMOMA had full control in respect of refunding me my money.
On the day of the flight, I received an e-mail from AMOMA telling me that the matter had been resolved and my baby was now included on the reservation. It was all too little too late. Anyone who is a parent will understand that you cannot take unnecessary risks when children are involved. There is no way I could have got on that flight and travelled to a country knowing that my baby did not have anywhere to rest at night due to booking failures, which were the responsibility of AMOMA.
To add insult to injury, AMOMA think it acceptable to refund me £35 for the inconvenience. Because of their poor business processes and lack of urgency in dealing with the matter which concerned an 11 month old baby, we were unable to risk travelling abroad without having accommodation in place for the two of us.
For these reasons I do not recommend AMOMA to anybody. I highly recommend avoiding them at all costs. This is not an isolated incident. When looking into AMOMA and its services, I discovered that they have failed many other people. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
