Purchased a men's watch on 6-5-21. It was IN STOCK and delivery was to be by 6-7-21. On 6-7 I contacted Amazon by chat re: the status of my purchase. They assured me that the watch was coming but it was delayed. I explained that I needed this watch by 6-9-21, as it was a gift. They PROMISED me that I would receive the watch by that date. Today is 6-9-21. I have just chatted with Amazon again. They advised that the watch was lost in transit. I would not be receiving the watch today but they would BE HAPPY to refund my purchase price. Had I known that I would not receive this item, I would have gone elsewhere to purchase this gift. As it stands, I have no gift for tonight. I have been an Amazon Prime Member since the beginning. This is NOT the way to treat a valued customer!
I ordered food and spirits from Amazon on may 14th and was told they issued me a refund because no one was home and with spirits you need to be there. I was told I would have a refund in 5 to 7 business days. Then the 28th of May I still had not received my refund to my debt card or my ebt card. So I called again and was transferred back and forth just to be told they had to start and ticket and get over to someone else to look at. Here it is June 8th I called again still no refund and nothing has been done. I was told they see my ticket but nothing was done so they will make another ticket. I can't believe this is how Amazon handles customers and their money. When I paid for my products the money came off right away there is no way or reason I should not have my refund back by now. I'm disappointed and feel like I have been robbed.
Been using Amazon for almost a decade now. Witness the whole process when they have more and more warehouses and faster delivery. Witness how FBA has come into a dominant power of shipping method and how product selections have wildly expanded in the past.
And then in some sudden points, I realized the price I can get is no longer attractive. I also realized that many of the brands are no longer operating eagerly on Amazon (e.g. Go check for an unlock version of iPhone 12 purple, or a Dyson V15 Detect - see if you can find them)
So now comes to the time to say good bye. I don't want to pay extra for the premium service that I don't need - to me, only the product itself matters, not the way it is delivered. I just want to have the widest selections of products with the chapest possible buying options everywhere for the same products. Now I've turned mostly to some other apps e.g. shein, blidz and a bunch that provide same products with cheaper prices, with wide selections but also have some amount of quality control. Longer delivery? Yes. But cheaper is what matters the most to me.
I received a package today from Amazon that was atrocious. Why would a driver leave such a package on my doorstep. You want to know why because he didn't give a damn and calling Amazon to report him is like pulling teeth you have all these international customer service people who can care less of what you are complaining about. I'm going to think long and hard before ordering from them. Had to be a crack head
I was not aware that one should research a buyer on Amazon before one purchases something. I had recently purchased a cell phone on Amazon, it did not work, upon researching it and talking to people the phone I purchased did not work in Canada. Amazon said it was my fault because I did not research the buyer. I found out the buyer was listed on a scam sellers web page, they had 82 complaints against them and Amazon knew about itt. I sent the information to Amazon, still my fault and I am out $116. I closed my account and refused to ever do business with Amazon again.
Just started using the autoship feature to addict to my Amazon addiction such a cool feature. We use it for dog food and vitamins. Now I have no excuse to forget! Definitely give it a go! 10 out of 10
Because of the fast shipping with Prime, amazon has become our primary way of purchasing non-grocery goods. And even when I'm at a physical store, so many people purchase through amazon and leave reviews, I often check the reviews and pricing on amazon before buying in the physical store. Add on the benefit of the movie selection, and we feel the annual fee is well worth the money. And there's even more benefit than I've described, like their music.
If I could give a negative or zero rating I would.
Hire more competent people to work for you when it comes to deliveries.
How hard is it to verify the address on the account to the house you've pulled up and delivered to?
Never received a delivery because they delivered it to some other random house and all they could do is refund us. I ordered it because I need it and your services are supposed to be convenient.
As they say- if you want it done right, do it yourself.
Never ordering from you again and will be sure to spread the news to everyone I know.
I'm currently abroad and I wanted to buy things from Amazon so I decided to give the international shipping a go. The shipping actually wasnt bad, got to me at a reasonable time. (Purchased on Feb 3rd and most arrived on Feb 19th).
At first, I thought shopping would be really expensive but it wasn't. I can't remember why I had a shopping promo but it covered all the shipping costs. Without it though it would have costed me $30.40 which isn't bad either way (bought $128usd worth of product)
OH, there was an additional import fees deposit though of $11.05 for me.
Overall not bad purchase, AmazonGlobal is doin it's thing.
I love Amazon prime... it saves me a lot of money... and I get 1/2 off each month with my ebb card.it literally pays for itself
Save your money, yeah they selling you all the overpriced defeated products fake brands they are happy to charge you but not welling to help you. You will keep argue with them and the seller back and forth, keep talking to untrained / unknowledgeable staff and each one say something different. I paid $300 for Motorola Modem from amazon under prime and it has warranty for two years and it didn't last even for a month and when Xfinity technician confirmed that the modem defeated and not working Amazon customer service keep blaming it was a third party seller which mean they have to contact the seller and the seller was " Ultracell LLC" never answer. So I waste my time money with tricking people
I bought this from Amazon should guaranty the quality and a good service, not through me as a customer under the bus for their own sake. I paid $327.74 after tax for defeated product and now contacting the manufacture and will see?!
Their mobile web user experience is not good (for example, managing & editing subscriptions) and includes some dark patterns. Also, their customer services reps can be shady. Overall, I'm quite unhappy with this company.
I've ordered so far some ink cups for tattoo ink and 2 urn pendants. The cups were for me, but the pendants were for a close friend of mine. They were ordered maybe a week apart (at the end of April and it is currently almost June). I recieved the cups 2 or so weeks ago, but the pendants are nowhere to be seen. I track all of my packages. As of the 6th of this month, the packages vanished! No record has been made on the whereabouts of them and my buddy said he still hasn't gotten them. They are supposed to be in within the next week and a half at latest. It's nearing a whole month of the package going POOF, and I'm kind of upset because I'd rather them be in sooner so he can carry a piec if his babies with him everywhere he goes. He's in a rough spot and I know it'll be heartwarming to see what his gift is.
The urns are AWAL, so no good, solid review on them yet. The cups, though, are kinda on the side of poor quality, but they'll do just fine!
My Whole Foods Market is 10 minutes away but my Amazon Fresh orders arrived completely thawed 4 times. I don't drive and I thought this service would be more affordable than taking a Lyft or Uber. But I end up having to make trips to the grocery store anyway. I feel guilty throwing food out but Amazon can't provide information about when the food was packed or how long it was sitting out. They just refund it. Amazon also stopped using insulation and switched over to brown bags because they are recyclable. I respect that but the current packaging is not suitable for the delivery of frozen and refrigerated items. So in the future I will only use this service for the rare occasions I only need nonperishables.
Good n convenient online shopping platform with a variety of product choice for nationwide shopper. For international shipment I opt for eBay as its communication platform between buyer n seller is more structured and effective than Amazon.
Reason is although Amazon has very good customer support but if you contact the seller, the seller is not as responsive as the eBay seller. Otherwise I will give 5 star here. Amazon has prime shipment options and in general ship very quickly. Transaction is always trusted and reliable as in case the seller don't ship Amazon would refund right away. What else is good for Amazon is when you need to return the items you can just drop off to the designated Amazon drop off locations instead of paying $$ on shipment
Best scrub I've used so far! I actually saw the results straight away. My body cream now absorbs into the skin much better than it did before and my skin feels so smooth! It was gentle enough to use on my face too!
You can NEVER get anyone in America which isn't right. The representatives are IDIOTS. Called to find why I was getting charged with shipping for a $200 order and got put on hold twice (by same representative) and was on phone for over 12 minutes. Rep said she couldn't understand where the shipping charge was coming from either. REALLY? She works there and couldn't give me an answer. She then put me on permanent hold. I called back again and asked for someone in United States and have AGAIN been put on permanent hold. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
4th time ordering from amazon fresh and every time there's something missing. And to make it worse, after requesting a refund for missing items, they proceed to ask what date is convenient for me to return the item... that I'm missing...
Be aware that when ordering from amazon fresh, the delivery drivers do not follow instructions or can not read. I'm disabled and have complained many times to Amazon fresh that delivery drivers are not following delivery instructions. I have a trach that is a hole in my throat with tubbing that allows me to breath. When I bend down to pick up delivery items off floor I can not breath because my trach is closed off. I have put in instructions to put deliveries in 1 of 3 places on my porch: grey cart, black table or chair. After making numerous complaints to Amazon, I designed a big sign and had it printed to put beside my door. And still the driver today placed delivery on the floor right in front of the sign and blocking my door where I can not get my wheelchair out for doctor appointment in the morning. It took me 3hrs to clear and I felt like I was going to pass out and end up in hospital again.
UPDATE 07-25-2021:
Can't believe what AZ has done now. They arbitrarily verify you on sign in and have been doing that for years. An email gets sent with code for you to fill in on sign in. Well, I have not been getting those emails. Not in my email account or in my Junk. AZ says it's my email provider, but when I requested that AZ Customer Service send an email, I got it... no problem. Then they said I could be verified by a rep. So answered questions like what were the last three purchases you made? What was the code on the last purchase on your AZ charge account? Problem was I've only been buying ebooks and do not save all of the confirmation emails, especially for the free ebooks. All of that info in on my AZ account... which I cannot get into. I Failed verification and they will not tell me which part. Only 3 options now: 1-open new account, 2- try the 20 minuter verification again, or just say Good-bye to AZ. Let me think... hmmm... GOOD-BYE.
Original Update:
Amazon is NOT the cheapest store anymore and the quality has gone down. Am no longer buying anything but ebooks from Amazon as that seems to be the only thing that I have little problems with. That said... there are problems in that area also:
1- do not always get book when click to buy, but customer service has refunded any not gotten bks.
2- Very real problems with Amazon's treatment of classic books such as Dracula, etc, like missing words-even pages- and terrible editing. English is NOT always first, maybe not even second, language of those translating and/or transcribing the books into eformat.
3- Misc little things like books not consistent when handling author names so you get one author, name spelled differently or periods after initials not consistent, but books NOT all listed on same page or same author. Drives me nuts. Really wish Amazon would just not put in those periods after initials.
Problems understanding some of the customer service reps when I call. My 90-year-old mother had a big problem last year. She couldn't understand the young man and requested a supervisor. The man got upset and raised his voice, said he spoke English good, then refused to let her talk to anyone else. She was reduced to tears. She will no longer deal with Amazon, she even called the bank handling her credit card but they said that she had to deal directly with Amazon. She has refused to pay another penny to Amazon and is terrified of getting another "bad guy" as she called the customer rep she had to deal with.
I have had to talk to customer service but have been very lucky with the reps I talk to... only one I had a hard time understanding, then I just got off the phone and called back, getting someone else. This is what I would suggest when having a problem with customer service.
Been using this site for over a year and have always received my orders on time and intact... with one exception. All it took was one phone call and the return was arranged... no hassles or excuses.
Do have to say that some items are a bit higher than on other sites, but with the free shipping over $35 it ends up costing about the same.
Update: Amazon raised it's minimum order amount for free shipping from $35 to $49... Not happy customer... lose one star.
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
