Description of Complaint:
Amazon has placed my account on ‘hold'. Apparently, they claim that I owe them for order back to. 2016. No one from Amazon has ever contacted me. This is bogus as Amazon does not send out items unless it's been paid. When there's a problem with payment, they then go to an alternate method when this occurs. Or, they'll send you an email notifying you that they need an alternate payment method. None of this was ever done. Additionally, when an order was extremely overdue, I requested a credit for the problem. They graciously gave it to me. The next day, the hold was placed on my account. Reps for the last week or so, promised me a call from TRS although none were received. This, this is all bogus. Years ago, the same thing happened and it was cleared up. Today, they refused to help. I talked to Trudy and then a supervisor, Mimi. No company who is owed a legitimate debt, five years old, neglects to contact the customer for payment. Plus, Amazon does not give away products. It sells them when payment is rendered. This is all bogus.
The movies and web series are awesome to watch in amazonprime, the quality of the video is always good.!
Amazon Prime is amazing. For just 14$ a month, you get free shipping on great products, a rotating selection of thousands free magazines & books on Kindle, a rotating selection of millions of movies in every language. And Amazon has lots of decent-paying jobs even if you are unskilled, signing bonuses, no drug-testing for weeds, no vaccine mandates, and Amazon is currently the most powerful advocate in the fight for Federal weeds legalization. Hating Amazon has become fashionable among young Communists & Fascists, but really, WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT AMAZON PRIME? I love it.
I requested contactless, where they leave the groceries outside the door. The person who arrived called my cellphone from another cellphone, instead of using the intercom. He YELLED at me over and over when I requested he use the intercom, so I could buzz him in. It was crazy. I finally had to go down the elevator to open the front door, so he could carry all the bags up- both of us, together in the elevator. Unbelievable. Such a huge crazy scene, over something which should have only taken a few moments. 9I live on the second floor)
I ordered from Amazon a few weeks ago. As always, when they ship using UPS the order got screwed up. I simply cannot understand why UPS gives you a specific time they will deliver, yet, in my experience, they have NEVER delivered as promised. An hour after they had promised delivery time I had to leave to run errands and left a note that the shipment was refused. T was returned 4 days ago, I called Amazon and, after jumping through an amazing number of hoops, talked to a person that told me it usually took 5 days to process. How would their business go if it took 5 days to process my payment. However that's not the real problem, Amazon makes it all but impossible to get help or information, you can't message them on line, you have to get past the computerized goon that answers their phone. The entire process is almost enough to make you lose your Christian faith.
I recently decided to try Amazon fresh grocery delivery. My first two orders were perfect. I thought this is wonderful so I made a larger third order. Unfortunately the third time was not the charm! There were several things wrong with my order but the absolute worst was a bag of rotting sweet potatoes. They stunk and leaked on several items and two paper bags. Fortunately when I called Amazon customer service they were extremely helpful. Back to Walmart pick up for me…
Always satisfied with buying items from amazon. It is easy to order and pay. I like that you can track your order.
I want to share my experiences with Amazon over the past year since I first registered my account with them.
First what I like...
- Affordable Prime yearly membership.
- Reduced Amazon HD music membership being a prime member
- speed of deliveries
- flexible return policy if I don't like or can't use the item I ordered (they even cover the return shipping sometimes)
What I don't like...
- Limited competition from other businesses lead to Amazon dominating the market which limits their motivation to offer even more affordable products.
- very political company that will not sell materials from people with views or opinions they deem offensive.
Overall buying from Amazon has been a good experience for me, but it is a company that must be held in check by us the people. With that being said I do recommend Amazon.
A new Fresh Amazon opened on 5463 Wisconsin Ave. In chevy chase, Maryland in September 2021. The new store replace Giant supermarket. The prices and products were reasonable and fresh. After two months of operation the prices has skyrocketed, food on the salad and cold bar is extremely salty and customer service is horrible. The people working at the so called front desk or customer service are extremely rude and treat you as you are a lier if you return a product due to unacceptability. I used to shop at the Giant long ago and recently only at Trader Joe's. The level of service you get at with one of these stores are excellent. The people at the customer service are there to help you and very much caring for what they represent. Prices are very reasonable and the products are really fresh. I will never ever ever go back to Fresh Amazon as I had the worst possible experience with the customer service. They don't tend to the customer and don't give their names.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at Amazon Fresh grocery store.
Ho trovato Amazon in uno stato di grazia e sento che ha molto da offrire alle persone e ha portato sorrisi a molti, quindi è una buona recensione
Order arrived with the majority of items missing and the rest covered in some strange sticky liquid. This was not the worst part. The worst was dealing with customer service, including leadership. I was on chat for close to an hour and it felt like pulling teeth to get my items replaced. Amazon reps did not replace the items. They seem very lazy and just wanted to refund the items. This means Ill have to pay another delivery fee. This process took so much time. Close to an hour for them to tell me they'll just refund items and ill have to reorder on my own ( meaning I'll have to waste more time doing this and waiting for another delivery.)
Amazon leadership is also useless with helping. They've lost yet another customer
I bought a gift on amazon.com.au via VPN since I'm based elsewhere. They "detected suspicious activity" on my account and froze my account across all amazon platforms. Now I had to provide evidence that it was in fact me, who ordered (which I did) and promised to review within 1-3 days. It's been a week and my account is still frozen. And no one answers my multiply query emails either. I can't use the customer service, because, guess what, you have to log in to use it.
Amazon is one of those places that no matter what, you'll keep shopping at because there isn't any other alternatives. It's cheap, convenient, and one of a kind, and even help you get discounts grocery shopping. That being said, you'd expect a huge company such as Amazon to be more honest to the consumer (actually, probably not lol). Items that show up as Amazon prime before checking out sometimes come well past the delivery guarantee, some items have delayed shipping, charge more for shipping when it's suppose to be free with prime, or come from questionable third party sellers. I once ordered an expensive electronic item from what ended up being a third party seller, and after returning it following Amazon's policy, the seller took 25% of the cost and claimed heavy usage, body damage, and scratched lenses when in reality, the lenses cap never came off and it was only looked over, then I realized it didn't have an attachment outlet needed, and I shipped it back within a day. Even the packaging was more secure than it was originally sent to me in. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, Amazon customer service was amazing, and although we had to go through the process of having the seller deny my additional refund, Amazon took over and make sure I received my full refund. Customer service is hit or miss though, sometimes they aren't very helpful. Despite the pros and cons, I'll keep shopping at Amazon due to convenience and price alone.
So the customer service was helpful and refunded some of my money. All produce were missing. Everything lost! And that was not a 2-hour delivery, I waited for 24 hours for this delivery and half of my order was missing. Not sure I will use Amazon fresh again and I'm seriously reconsidering the membership.
I love the convenience of ordering online and having groceries delivered. I mean, with a full time job and a family to get home to- who wants to go to the store after work or waste my weekend grocery shopping. I also love that they use paper and not plastic bags. The thing is, it's a total crap shoot on what they send. I have gotten deliveries that literally only included 1/2 of what I ordered plus a couple bags of someone else's food. My kids were happy because that included some serious junk food that I would not order myself (I ate some too), but this is also sort of annoying. Sometimes they will get as much as 75% right but that's as good as I've seen with them. However, Amazon customer service, so far, has been helpful in refunding missing items. So, after a hiatus, I am (foolishly?) giving it another try today.
I order 33 items through Amazon Fresh. My delivered order was missing 8 of them, but I was charged for all items. Called customer service- they put in a replacement order because it was so many items. Got a text from shopper that they had started shopping almost 3 hr before delivery window. Two hour after delivery window I called customer service again. They said there was no driver a available and they'd issue a refund + $10 Amazon credit for my trouble. Said if I eventually got my items I could keep the refund. My order was cancelled an hour later. I ordered the items for a reason - what a monumental waste of time. Called store and they said there was no communication between store and Amazon employees. Not a good situation
I scheduled my order today between 10am and 12pm, at 11.30 the order was still being packed and no delivery details, at 2.15PM I got a notification that the order could not be tracked and would not be delivered. Customer Service agent issued a refund and I got the underlying tone that drivers were either not delivering items or, worse, stealing them. I won't be using again.
They have become lame. A Prime member, ordered yesterday not because of pandemic but surgery and can't drive. Delivery between 11-1 today, at 1:20 order cancelled. On phone with customer service forever, no answers or solutions just a $10 credit. They suck. Too many other deliveries available and always late on my packages also.
I ordered a magic keyboard from Amazon. Shipped and sold by Amazon warehouse, which offers a guarantee on all items sold. Well, When I received the keyboard first I noticed that it was late then I noticed that it wasn't the magic keyboard, but a cheap Apple folio keyboard. No trackpad, just swapped the box of a magic keyboard and put the folio keyboard inside. Overall I paid 200. Immediately I contacted Amazon, however after being told numerous times that I would not have to pay for the item, and that I could return it, I was later asked to email attachments of the item that I received in order to get a better grasp of the issue. After I was done, I had called numerous times to see what the progress was regarding the refund and return. I eventually got forwarded to a top associate, and was told that even tho the item is not what was posted on Amazon, and is shipped by amazon, that I cannot return this item and that they are sorry that this happened to me. Immediately I contact my credit card company and the Better Business Bureau. Within a day, Amazon refunded my money. Well, they lost a long time customer for subhuman customer support on a item that's "backed by prime guarantee".
This business is very easy to deal with you will get the best out of them. There helpful to all and it will be your best experience
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
