Amazon is the worst service I've ever seen as a customer.
I created an account, ordered smth, they blocked my account for "suspicious activity " right away. Sure this is a new activity, I had ordered nothing before that!
I was asked to sent all the docs to prove that this is my card and I did. Nothing happened, they kept sending me that that statement doesn't work, but it was actually ok.
Then I decided to create a new account in order to connect with the customer service.
The couldn't help me anyway with unblocking my previous account cause operators are outsourced, so they do not have this opportunity.
I was trying to create new and new account on a different bank cards and was trying to make an order. All of them were blocked as well.
At the end, I tried to deal with all that with 3 or 4 Amazon customer service operators. Was asking to leave just one working account. But they just were sending the info to account managers and security service. And security service just keep sending the automatic letters that they need more info (but I already sent them all they had asked for). The whole system is so $#*!ed up, they can't solve even so easy cases. They don't have any individual mechanics to handle it in a right way. Operators and chats are useless, unfortunately.
Maybe I don't understand smth, but you're just a online shop, why the hell i need to prove you smth and give my personal info? Me as a client should just make an order and fill the card info, you take your money and give me the product. What the hell do you think you are?
So, thank you Amazon for the worst online shopping experience in my life, that lasts for 5 month after my moving to Germany from the war in Ukraine. That is how you work and treat your clients.
I want everyone knows that you shouldn't waste your time on Amazon shopping.
I am innately suspicious about any company that has no viable way to complain, and Amazon meets that criteria. They don't want to hear complaints. I have used Amazon and Amazon Prime for years, but lately I have had security issues with them - one of which caused my debit card to be blocked. Since this is how Amazon Prime is paid, they used another card/bank on my conveniently listed cards. I removed ALL cards from Amazon's list to resolve the issue. Now I am getting texts with links. I am not stupid! No way I'm going to trust a texted link. Phone calls can be scams as well. I really like Amazon, but this is a deal killer. If my cards are not safe with Amazon, then neither is my privacy. Amazon needs to address this - fix it and make a simple way for people to let them know it is happening. This looks way too much like looking the other way on the part of Amazon.
Cancelled my prime, and my family members and friends cancelled it too. Purchased a defective laptop, returned it, seller refused to refund nor send the laptop back, Amazon refused to step in. Talked to a supervisor, extremely rude. Other experiences, purchased items that never arrived, Amazon refused to make replacements so had to reorder and waited more days for the items to arrive. Why wasting my time, and what's the point of having prime while waiting for a whole week to shop for an item?
Have called three times about dropping packages off in our yard with out notifications we are a business and have a sighn policy for deliveries we have found packages in the bushes we believe that the company is miss managed and has a very low response rate, perhaps the owner should concentrate on his real business and come back to earth.
I am satisfied with the majority of my Amazon orders and products. I am not satisfied with the misleading terms "In Stock". Because I try to avoid products that do not ship from the US, I assumed "in stock" meant the item was in an Amazon warehouse in the US.
I have lost approximately $300 over time on products that originate in China and are shipped from there. Those products rarely arrive. The process of reconciliation was not worth the time and effort at the time.
Please put some kind of clarification at the beginning of the item description indicating that the item is not currently in the US and will ship from overseas. At least then people can thrown their own dice.
Had an online chat with amazon during tax free week in Florida. The site was charging tax on eligible items that should not have been taxed. The agent assured me that when it was delivered "we will get you a refund". I have contacted them FIVE times. That is not an exaggeration, five times. And they kept telling me someone from the tax dept. would contact me. When they finally did, they told me the item was not eligible and sent me the Florida rules. FUNNY, the rules clearly had the item listed as eligible.
I have had to spend hours of my time to get a refund. I need to take my business elsewhere.
Amazon shipping is poor. Unless you pay them to be a prime member. Items take 3 days or more from ordering just to get shipped. Then takes another 5 days to arrive. Bad company. Won't be ordering anything again from them
I bought a $900 power cage (training equipment) from Amazon but when I received it, I realized it was a poor quality product and way smaller than I expected, so I decided to simply return it knowing that I have a 30 days worry free return window, to my surprise and disappointment, both Amazon and the third party seller threw me under the bus in the sense that they refused to return this item claiming that it was not defective, then, when I pressured them, they sent me a return label, which after I carried that heavy item to drop it at the past, I realized that it's not prepaid and I had to pay $250 to return it, so when I complained again about them, the reply I got was: "Go ahead and sell it locally or put it online and sell it" literally!
So, ladies and gentlemen, please be very careful when dealing with Amazon specially if you're planning to buy something expensive, because you might end up facing the same scenario.
I, now, canceled my prime memberships with them and deleted my account (after couple of years with them and many purchases for hundred of dollars) and decided to give my business to local 100% Canadian stores who are way more honest and ethical.
All the best,
Richard
If your device breaks down like my Reader did after the 30 days I could not return it...$150 dollars was the cost of my lesson and you even if you have to return it you paying all the shipping...

Definitely better platform the Netflix, so many better series to watch and best is coming in September, The Rings od Power! Taking back us in the Middle Earth is something that i am really looking forward! I hope that it will be good like it looks on trailer for now! Thanks Amazon
Waited 5 days, received, input code worked instantly. Thank you for assisting me with getting me the funds when I needed them the most
I always have only good experiences when ordering smth from Amazon. Like the variety of goods, they are leaders
Amazon customer service is miserable, after 52 minutes of waiting on the phone a representative transferred me, and the next person that I talked to was not professional, did not give me a good experience, or was helpful!
I had a choice. I went with Amazon, they lied. I ordered waterproof Dressing wound cover to cover a surgical site so I could work on a leaking pond site and have protection from germ filled water. The promise, I will receive it today between 10:00 and 3:00. At 4:04 it says coming Thursday today is monday. I would have gone to the store!
My last TWO orders have not arrived when they should have. Customer Service only gives a generic unimportant answer to the issue. They expect you to wait any where from 24 hours to 3 to 5 days. Yet they do not wait to get paid for prime. If they can not fulfill the order, to cancel is a hassle because then they say it is preparing to ship, yet customer service just told me it could take days. They are failing to fulfill the delivery times, or even shipping on time. Such a disappointment. You need to improve Seriously. I would add pics, but they put to much info on the page to screenshot even.
I don't trust Amazon... they are too big to take care of their customers
I ordered 4 roof top air conditioners from Amazon. The order was supplied by Amazon reseller RVSupplies. On the order page it was mentioned full refunds if returned within 30 days. I attempted to cancel the order within 4 hours as the project has been cancelled. Amazon said the supplier reject the cancellation since he excepting return within 30 minutes! From order. This is unheard of. How Amazon except such lousily supplier. So, the order has been shipped to me. Then i found out that i need to pay for the shipping back ($150 per item... time 4 that is $600 out of my pocket... and i didn't even saw the order. After i got confirmation of the returned then i got a message from Amazon that the supplier will charge re-stocking fee and also claimed some damage done to the UPS return shipment.
1. as amazon customer for 20 years i expect Amazon to provide superb service, to provide me the customer piece of mind, to be responsible to whatever they supply whether direct or indirect and to honor the terms of the order, in this case "full refund if return within 30 days". But in fust there has been SMALL print on the supplier website or 30 minutes cancellation, re-stocking, and customer responsible to shipping back if cancel the order. At the bare minimum Amazon was supposed to provide this information on the order page in bold... and not expect customers to read the fine print on each and all orders... i ordered from amazon around 90 products within the last 90 days. Amazon is favoring this reseller on me the customer.
I no more trust Amazon. I use them as my sole online supplier. No more! There are many alternatives such e-bay, Walmart others.
My cell phone broke, I ordered a new one from amazon. I try to login, to check status of it and it wants to send me a security code to my phone for me to log in. HAHAHA this is stupid, so now I can't login or do anything. At least when you want to do the stupid security crap, have the option to send to the email address as well. Step your game up people. Need to higher better developers.
They hire morons. I tried to update my expiration date on my credit card it's an Amazon card the work flow say to click on expiration date select date and voila but it doesn't work. So I got on the phone with miss India who had no clue after trying everything I decided to delete the card and put in the new card and To my amazement it updates the card so they need to remove the workflow that doesn't work so customers are not confused it's apparently a bug. The other times I've called to complain on a problem like the damaged dog bed I got,you can't ever speak to some who doesn't read off a sheet of paper total idiots not sure I want to continue my relationship with this company it's going downhill like their stock.
It seems every package I order is at least a day late. Not sure why I am still paying $140 a year for a service that is never provided. Figure it out or lower the cost.
I used to buy a lot on amazon, everything arrives really fast and few times something arrived wrong, always because of the size like clothes for my dogs and some other clothes. But the problem is that I haven't bought for a while and every month without me buying anything something goes to my cart and debits my card without my having bought it, usually an item bought many months ago, so every time I i need to run and cancel everything, this has been making me furious because if i don't notice immediately they just send and send and send the same thing every month without my having bought it, this is fraud and so swindling me i think this is totally wrong and very unethical, how a company of millions lets such a ridiculous failure happen. I hope this gets resolved because i lost money on this and i'm furious. Be careful when placing your card on your amazon account!
Answer: I concur with all of the above answers except about the kindle. I have contacted Amazon via phone and they were very helpful.
Answer: Bought a hair dryer for my daughter in Melbourne. Arrived no probs.
Answer: Try Walmart! They deliver food too, and they accept EBT as well. I am switching to Walmart now because I ordered food from Amazon Fresh on 4 different occasions, and never received my groceries. I am disabled and I live alone, so I need delivery service to be reliable and dependable. Clearly, Amazon Fresh is neither reliable nor dependable, which sucks.
Answer: I have never shipped or had things shipped to or from Australia. Sorry
Answer: This problem began when Amazon Market Place started up and when I saw how bad it was with sellers selling at 3 to 4 times the full retail price at other online stores, it was a hint for me to stop supporting Amazon Market Place. If its sold by Amazon, I might buy it but I do my utmost to find a lower price so I don't have to buy it from Amazon. More often than not Bestbuy or Staples has it for the same or lower price. Bought an Asus RT AC 5300 from Bestbuy for 500 Canadian and it doesn't sell for less at Amazon. Returns are no hassle 30 day returns and no shipping just take it to a local retail store and that saves the wrapping and shipping.
Answer: Yes I do on the items I purchase and also through google and sitejabber
Answer: It takes longer if you don't pay monthly for Amazon prime.
Answer: The shipping cost is in the listing if that's what you're asking. If you click on new/used, it will be below the cost. If you have Prime, most things are free shipping.
Answer: You answer on the actual question I believe.
Answer: The above answers are good - I agree that a personal contact on the phone is best. - Go to 'Your Account', then click 'Let Us Help You' -then click Help - Then 'need more help',- then click 'Contact Us' - fill out the 3 steps and choose 'more no norder questions, - then clock on phone - from there it will direct you (how long the wait etc and they call you back)
