I've been using Amazon for many years. Recently they removed all my reviews and banned me from writing future reviews. The reason: they claim I was getting free product and money for my reviews. Not true. Amazon could not provide any evidence or proof. My guess is that a bot selected me based on my review history and some flawed selection criteria. Sad part is the product reviews have recently become unreliable due to seller writing reviews and reviews posted on the wrong product. Check into it. So be careful basing purchases solely on reviews. Be skeptical.
They still offer good service but perhaps they are too big to be honest and respectful with customers.

Baby shower registry

I created a registry on Amazon.com for my baby shower. In the beginning, I assumed I had made the best decision because Amazon has a lot to offer with a huge selection of items baby would need! It was also convenient this way because they could ship to my home or to themselves to bring to the shower. Who knows… I hadn't had a kid in 14 years so maybe target, Walmart and Meijer offers the same. Anywho, after having my baby and getting in the swing of things I noticed I had double of the same items and some things I had I never got a chance to use. So I requested a call from customer service ONLY to be informed that after 30 days of purchase they can no longer accept the return! Please keep in mind I didn't want any cash returned… just a credit I could use on their site to buy new things he could actually use. When you create a gift registry for a shower it's always done so months in advance! Along with, items purchased will be purchased in enough time to have before the actual shower! Baby showers are MOST LIKELY 1-2 months prior to birth of child! How can I not return items that were gift to my son and I after 30 days? That's ridiculously frustrating and absurd to not accommodate someone who is not only a huge supporter of them but made them a lot of money by doing my registry with them and being a prime member! A complete slap in the face! And for this reason alone I will never shop with them, I've ended my prime membership and I will make reviews every chance I get along with spreading the word to others! I hope this was all worth it! Walmart, Target, and Meijer would NEVER! Now here I am stuck with a new swing, automatic bouncer and a carrier because they refuse to allow me to get a credit! TOTAL BUMMER

Duplicate billing

BEWARE! Do not put your debit card in Amazon's wallet as they help themselves to double your money! I have been a customer for many years and never had I had this issue until this week and twice they have double billed my debit account! I called my bank and they explained that double of my money was being held and that I would have to contact Amazon. The first time I was charged double it was for 108.00, it was taken out of my account and then credited back! Why? If you use your debit card make sure you have double the money in your account, otherwise you will be charged overdraft fees. I am very disgusted with Amazon and how they do business! Do they think they are the only online service?
I got ahold of a customer representative and a manager and the manager explained that the "double" charge would be returned to my account within ten days! TEN DAYS! Why would double my money be held? For the second time in one week! I was double charged $108.00 and then 415.00! WTH? They may return your money but in the mean time you don't have access to that money. Customer service denied that, but my bank confirmed that is what they are doing!
I called my bank and I didn't have access to $830.52 until Amazon released it! The item only cost 415.26! I had other shopping this week and I went elsewhere. I shopped at Old Navy online and eBay twice within the last few days with no issues AND free shipping from both! Plus, no double charges! Amazon is not the only place to buy from. I'm not at all pleased with their customer service either! They put me in a circle. This was a very bad experience for me!
Since, I have removed all my credit and debit cards from Amazon as I do not trust them with my money anymore.
Customer service tried to explain that I wasn't double billed or double my money wasn't being held up by Amazon when in fact my bank confirmed that was a lie and because of that I do not trust them anymore. Why would they out right lie?
Also, their yearly subscription has went up by 20.00. $139.00 now. I mean everywhere else is free shipping. Why would I give Amazon $139.00 so I have shopping fees. When pretty much every where else GIVES you free shipping? Once upon a time it was reasonable, but not anymore! I believe, they think they are the only online service out there. Plus, most places give you free shipping over a minimal amount. So what's the point of their membership?
Time to buy elsewhere people. This is a monopoly!
I am very dissatisfied with the way they did business with me and then customer service lies! BE CAREFUL, WATCH YOUR BANk ACCOUNT, BEWARE!

Idiots.

Idiots in accounting. I opened a prime account weeks ago and have endured three unsuccessful attempts to use my card (which still hasn't arrived after three weeks), and all I get for my trouble is a moronic person somewhere across the oceans with a typically fake name who keeps repeating my issue back to me—like I'm unaware of it.
Not my first rodeo with these clowns. Inept doesn't begin to cover it…. Holy Mother of God, farming out our product to Asia—and other countries with people whose familiarity with the English language is slim to none—will be the death of America, if the idiot Dems don't get to it first…

Tried to use amazon web site to handle a refund sent me in circles could not get anything done, tried to call them they would not talk to me without sending me a link to click on that did not work sorry service had to call the credit card co. To dispute the charge hell of a way to have to handle also tried to leave feedback on there website could not find a way i can see why. I don. T think i will buy anything from amazon again. I want to say again how sorry they are

Worst customer service

I ordered a smart watch on Amazon that was on sale as a birthday present for my dad. It was supposed to be delivered next day. Amazon lost my order during transit. I didn't get the order and waited another 5 days before I was able to claim a refund. Then the customer service person said because it's high value item the have to create a report and have someone investigate. After another 2 days I finally got a refund, but the watch has now gone back to full price. So I asked Amazon if they could do something about it since they lost my package, they kept telling me they can't do price match. I'm not asking for a price match, I'm asking for the watch I bought which they lost at the same price I bought it for. After a couple of emails trying to explain this to their customer service, they kept coming back saying we already refunded you and there's nothing else we can do. It's really disappointing they won't offer any compensation for something that's clearly their fault. I really expected better service from Amazon.

Amazon sent a package i ordered from amazon prime and never arrived to address. After a month Amazon did not give me any refund until I had to call and complain after 2 months for them to refund the money. On Amzon it shows that the package also was not delivered, and i do not understand why i have to go thru the hassle to get my money back

Not Like It Use To Be

A year ago I would have rated Amazon a 4 or 5, but lately it is not very reliable. I many instances deliveries have not been made on the day promised, especially next day. I get "delayed" notifications with option to cancel. Well, in August I cancelled after the indicated time and the item was not delivered. However, my credit did not post, so I called and spoke with a live person who assured me that he would take care of it. Two weeks later, still no credit. I called aain and she needed to confirm my account. Why? The e-mail (s) that she allegedly sent for that purpose were never arrived, and because I have no mobile phone associated with the account, and because I do not have the Amazon Ap, she couldn't do anything, including putting me through to a supervisor. I would never receive my $49,24 refund. I had the order number available, but they still had to CONFIRM my account. I finally got it resolved by requesting a call back via Amazon, My Accpunt. My question was, why did they need anything other than the order number. They would have simply crdeited the account originally debited. WHERE IS THE RISK? There was none. I couldn't unerstand why their e-mails were not coming through, afterall, I had one a half an hour before my call confirming an order. I had a gazillion Amazon e-mails in my mail box. The account I used was the one used for my Prime fee. It took an hour an 4 different people to fix what I consider a very simple problem, credit the account that was debited. With Amazon being so HUGE, it was hard to believe they could not do a simple little thing, and was more than willing to keep my refund.

Recently I have experienced several occasions where I was writing a negative review if an Amazon product and Amazon did not publish my review. The reviews did not have political not profanity, only an honest explanation of the negative aspects of the product Amazon was selling.

Refund problem

I order Levi's jeans suddenly product changed, iso i cancelled the order... amazon troubling me for refund... it's 7 days now and still i didn't get my refund. Customer service also behaving rude telling me today, tomorrow will credit... sometimes they disconnect cal... also not transfering my call to supervisor or manager.

Worst customer service

Thr customer service center is racist for 1 and lie and lead u in circles till u want to give up. They charged me for a item which was paid and then charged me again for e pre - authentication fee which over drew my account. When I called and asked to have it removed they changed it from 2 days to 10 days. They treated me like I was stupid and kept lying saying it was the bank but hhwen I said I was resorting them to the better business bureau the had my money which again was a lie. Amazon.com is a horrible scam and will hold your hard earn money for no reason for as long as they can. I will never do business with them again. Ebay from here on out. What a disgrace and disgusting company

Wrong items received twice

They delivered wrong item and didn't let me put a request for refund or return. I received wrong item twice and when I tried to put a request for return they said to write a note and image of wrong item for refund. Been 2 days and there is no response.

I ordered an item a month ago (Macbook air m1), shipment was late and I never received an item, tracking id says it's in some werehouse sorting. I contacted support to solve this and asked for a replacement, because since the day I ordered the item, it's price increated by about 200 euros. In conclusion, no replacement have been issued, but a refund, and now I have to add 200 euros on top to order the same item. Thanks for amazon...

Never change your phone #.

I logged into my Amazon account to try and change my phone #. They wouldn't let me without access to my old phone #. Now whenever I try to log into my account for security reasons they send a confirmation code to my old phone number that I don't have. I tried customer service over the phone but since I can't tell them everything I've saved for later over the past they won't help me they want me to scrap the account and lose thousands of dollars in digital content alone. As soon as I figure out a way to fix this I'm done shopping on Amazon. I'll listen to my music and watch my movies but I will never buy anything from them. They just lost thousands a year by just not letting me change my phone number.

Regardless of what you search for you get bs results on things not even close to what your searching for.
For example
I search for 400 AMP box and they show 200 AMP, 125 AMP and Some 400 AMP. These are specific Electrical items and searches with incorrect results that could prove dangerous/lethal to someone.

Poor Deliveries

I own and operate a health clinic. There are 6 businesses in our building with four entrances. There are three signs directing to my clinic. Four out of ten times the Amazon package is delivered to one of the other businesses in our building. I don't get it. My address label has the name of the practice, my name and lower level in all caps. Do Amazon delivery employees know how to read? Or they just don't care? Very frustrating! Dr. C.
